Quelqu'un peut vraiment m'éclairer sur les Flash Pass ? Je pige pas le système j'ai jamais fais de Six Flags.

Quelle différence entre un Flash pass pour deux et un flash pass par personne *2 ? Aucune si je comprend bien ??
Ensuite:
Il y a 3 types de flash:
Platinum / Gold / Regular
Pour le Regular pas de problème je pense, on réserve son heure et on fait autre chose en attendant, comme les FastPass Disney un peu.
Le Gold: Enjoy a significant reduction in wait time allowing you to ride more rides with less wait. -> une queue rapide en gros ?
Platinum: Enjoy riding our rides with a 90% reduction in wait time! Consecutive Riding allows you to WAIT ONCE and RIDE TWICE. -> on fait la queue une fois et on ride deux fois, mais quelle queue ? la queue normale ou la queue rapide dont on parle dans le gold ?
Et pour finir: à Busch Gardens par exemple, les FastPass ont un certain nombre d'utilisations, je sais plus combien, genre 9, et ensuite fini, utilisable 9 fois sur la même attraction par exemple. Qu'en est il ici ? Limité par attraction ? Limité en nombre d'attractions différentes ? Limité en nombre d'utilisations totales ?
Bref j'espère que je me serais fais comprendre c'est pas très clair pour moi tout ça xD
Pour finir: en juillet, combien de temps pour ride en moyenne les grosses attractions sans fastpass/avec un gold/platinum ?

le systeme de fast pass de six flags n'est pas une entrée réservée, mais un boitier électronique que tu as avec toi : tu demandes une attraction à la fois et le boiier te dis dans combien de temps tu peux y aller. Quand c'est l'heure, tu te présente et tu passes de suite, entre temps, tu peux faire autre chose. Par contre tu ne peux réserver un pass qu'une fois entré dans l'attraction précédente.
Entre Régular, Gold et Platinium, seul compte le temps d'attente : si avec régular c'est par exemple 40 min, ce sera 20 avec Gold et 3 avec Platinium. Nus avions pris un régular pour un sixflags prés de Philadelphie en plein mois d'aout et cela nous a permis de faire tout ce que l'on voulait dans la journée, entre 2 pass tu fais des attraction moins demandées....
Le Pass gold te reduit la queue d'environ 50%à75%.
C'est à dire que si t'as une heure de queue tu reserves ton ride sur ton boitier qui ressemble à un Tamagochi, et 15à30min plus tard, ton boitier sonne et tu te rends à l'attraction, et tu passes direct.
Le platinium, t'as plus de queue et quasiment plus d'attente.
Tu réserves ton attraction, et en général 1 à 2min après, ton boitier vibre et tu peux te rendre à l'attraction. Les possesseurs de ce pass ont également un bracelet qui leur permet de refaire un second ride sans même descendre du train. Le must étant que dès que ton boitier a été validé, ou dès que tu t'appretes à faire ton second ride d'affiler, tu peux reserver un autre ride pour ailleurs, et donc à la fin de ton ride, ton boitier à deja vibré et tu peux te rendre à ta seconde réservation :)
Mais je te conseille plutôt de faire 3 jours à Disney plutot que SFMM.... ;) ;) ;)

Je vais prochainement me rendre au Six Flags Magic Mountain, nous serons deux, est-ce qu'un seul flash pass (ou boitier électronique) est suffisant pour deux, ou en faut-il un par personne? Dois-je lors de ma commande n'en demander qu'un, car j'ai cru lire que l'on pouvait réserver pour 6 personnes avec un boitier.

Si vous voulez rester ensemble, il faut un seul boitier mais enregistrer les 2 personnes dessus, sachan que le prix est dégressif en fonction du nombre de personnes enregistrées
Salut, j'y vais le 18 juin, donc en pleines vacances scolaires apparament mais en semaine. J'ai acheté les tickets et je crois qu'un flash pass risque de s'avérer indispensable...
Quelqu'un en a déjà pris un ici ? le regular a l'air bof, par contre le gold promet 50% d'attente en moins pour 127$ donc si c'est quand meme une somme pour un parc a theme. Si quelqu'un a des retours la dessus, sur internet je trouve pas grand chose a ce sujet.

Tu rides autant de fois que tu le souhaites :)
Le regular correspond un peu au Fastpass que tu trouves à Disneyland Paris : ton temps d'attente à l'exterieur de la file d'attente correspond à celui que tu aurais du passer dans la file d'attente. Ca te permet de faire un autre ride pendant cette attente.
Le gold est plus interessant (reduit l'attente de 50%), mais est bien plus cher. Quit à payer plus cher, rajoute un peu plus, et prend le platinium : tu n'as plus aucune attente (enfin, si, 10%, mais ça correspond meme pas à la durée d'un ride ! ;) ) Et en bonus, tu peux rider 2 fois les coasters sans avoir à descendre ! :)
Ce qui veut dire : avec le platinium, tu reserves un ride. Au bout de 5min grand maximum, ton boitier vibre et tu te rends au coaster en question. Dès que le Cast Member a vérifié ton boitier, tu en profites pour reserver un autre ride ailleurs. Tu fais ton premier tour, tu as ton second tour d'affilé, et en descendant, ça fait déjà un moment que ton boitier a vibré : tu peux te rendre sur ton nouveau coaster sans attendre la moindre seconde :)
Merci, j'avais donc vu juste mais le platine est quand même à 187$ pour deux ! Avec le ticket ça fait l'entrée à 133$/personne donc j'aimerais être sur de mon coup. C'est vrai que quitte à y dépenser de l'argent autant le faire à fond et sauter le gold pour le platine mais quand même, j'ai beau chercher je tombe pas sur un commentaire qui me fait dépenser mon argent les yeux fermés, et vu qu'on peux pas prédire l'affluence (mardi 18 juin) ça m'embêterait d'acheter ce pass pour qu'au final il y ai que 30 mn d'attente à chaque ride...
Personnellement, j'y vais en septembre, et je ne prend aucun pass coupe file. L'affluence des parcs de ce groupe est relativement faible. Ca n'a rien à voir avec l'affluence de Disney ou Universal !
Le parc est constitué à 90% de coasters, donc seuls les passionnés de ce genre d'attractions le fréquente. Et vu qu'il y en a 18, tout le monde est reparti partout ! :)
En semaine en plus, tu auras bien moins de monde, et les vacances US n'auront pas encore commencé.
Tu auras peut etre par contre l'affluence si Full Trottle, la nouveauté 2013 aura ouvert d'ici là. Mais les phases de test ont tout juste commencé aujourd'hui. Donc pas sur qu'il soit ouvert. J'espere pour toi qu'il sera en soft opening, pour que tu puisses le tester, et ne pas avoir l'affluence du à l'ouverture de la nouveauté ! ;)
Et au pire, si tu as du monde, rien ne t’empêchera sur place de juger s'il est bon de prendre un pass coupe file ou pas ! :)

Voilà. Il y a 2 ans, il manquait Full Throttle, Lex Luthor et Green Lantern. Et tous les kiddies n'ont pas été intégrés à ce classement, mais il n'y avait aucune attente pour chacun d'entre eux.
Comme tu peux le voir, l'achat d'un pass semble etre plus qu'inutile... ;)

Il a quand même été élu meilleur parc au monde dans sa catégorie (sur la page d'accueil du site) alors j'avais peur de me retrouver à faire la queue toute la journée comme à Disney.
Ensuite sur tripadvisor j'avais lu quelques commentaires qui disaient que justement il y avait autant d'attente que chez nous d'où l'achat d'un pass.
Bref je vais y aller et je verrais sur place. Pour les tickets je sais pas si tu as vu mais nous on a pris les 3 jours ou plus à l'avance à 39$/pers contre 65 a l'entrée du parc.

Salut, alors nous avons fait sixflags l'année dernière et comme prévu on avait pris les flash pass platinium.
Voilà comment ça se présente, déjà on rentre dans le parc avec son billet d'entrée puis on va dans un bureau ou une petite vidéo explicative présente les 3 flash pass proposes. Puis on passe à la caisse !
On vous donne un petit boîtier pour réserver le manège que l'on souhaite plus un petit bracelet rose qui permet de faire le Ride 2 fois de suite sans descendre du manège (ça c'était super mais uniquement avec le platinium il le semble).
Personnellement on aurait pu s'en passer, ou en tout cas prendre un flash pass plus petit. En juin il y avait peu de files d'attente peut être 20 mn Max par attraction.
Le flash pass ne fonctionne pas sur tous les rides par exemple pour le x2 il faut payer en plus, nous avons fait 1 heure de queue pour le faire mais ça en valait la peine.
Ce parc est génial, et pas pour tout le monde ! Nous avons fait tous les plus gros rides au moins deux fois ! J'en ai eu des bleus sur les clavicules, incomparable avec les manèges qu'on a par chez nous. Tellement génial que nous y retournons cet été !
Pour en revenir au flash pass je conseille de voir sur place, mais une chose est sûre ça n'a rien a voir avec les files d'attentes qu'on a dans nos parcs parisiens.
J'y suis allé l'été dernier (20 août) et franchement les queues sont hyper rapides, vu l'état physique dans lequel certains des manèges te plongent, tu verras que ça fait du bien d'attendre 10 minutes pour faire une attraction (je ne parle pas de 45 minutes de queue hein, 10 minutes et on était en pleine période de vacances).
Du coup, je te conseille de voir sur place si vraiment c'est blindé. Si tu veux un conseil, il faut faire les attractions les plus demandées en premier (les nouvelles donc tel que le X2).

We’ll adapt day by day based on our mental and physical state (we’re not exactly spring chickens).
After our first trip as a young couple to the West in 2007 (yes, that doesn’t make us any younger!), we’re planning to go back in 2028, but this time as a family of four! (We have two boys who’ll be 5½ and 13 years old in the summer of 2028.)
Our plan is to combine a few big cities (SF and LA, maybe San Diego) with national parks and state parks, mostly!
Ideally, we’d like to leave at the end of June and head back to France around July 19–20, so we can enjoy the first week of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Since we already did the "loop" in 2007, there are must-see places we absolutely want to revisit—and especially share with our kids: Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and above all, the Grand Canyon, which is still the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on Earth!
On the other hand, some places didn’t leave a big impression on us for various reasons, so we’re not making them a priority: Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, for example.
We’re planning ahead, but might as well be smart about it😏
Do you have any tips for a fun and doable itinerary over about 20–25 days with kids, without rushing?
We went as a family to Mount Rushmore in 2023, where my son bought a multi-function pocket knife like the one below with his name engraved—'NOAH'.
Unfortunately, he just lost it, and he was really attached to it. So, if there’s a kind soul passing by Mount Rushmore who could bring one back for me (I’d obviously cover all costs), that would be amazing for my son.

Hello everyone! Really damaged due to flooding caused by runoff after forest fires (a total mess!), does anyone in this friendly forum have any updates on the Apache Trail between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Dam? Is there still a section of the road that’s tough to navigate?
We're leaving at the end of June and will be driving the route between Buffalo and Cody. We’ve already booked our accommodations and a rodeo in Cody, but during the day, we’ll be driving between the two and I’m unsure about the itinerary.
Which route do you think is the most pleasant, interesting, or scenic between:
- The northern route via Highway 14 with Sheridan, Lowell, etc.
- The southern route with Highways 16/20/14, passing by Loaf Mountain Overlook, Powder River Pass, Ten Sleep Canyon...
We’ll be in a car, so we should be able to drive on any road.

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.
This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?
I’ve spotted two short hikes:
- East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop
- West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop
Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

Just a quick question about King Canyon and Sequoia National Park.
Before our night in Miramonte, we plan to visit King Canyon. The next stop will be two nights in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia National Park. I wanted to go all the way to Roaring River Falls on the King Canyon Scenic Byway and then turn back to head to Miramonte. Since we’re coming from Oakhurst, Google Maps says it’s 300 km and 5 hours of driving. Since we also want to hike to see the sequoias (Big Stump Area and Grand Grove) before tackling the King Canyon Scenic Byway, the timing’s going to be tight. How far do you recommend going before turning back to miss as few points of interest as possible on the King Canyon Scenic Byway? Thanks for your advice, and have a great evening!

I’d like to travel along I-15N from San Diego to Las Vegas with my mom, who’s 67. We’ve explored Northern California and the California Coast over the past two years and now want to continue through the desert.
There are several attractions along the way:
- Mormon Rocks
- Desert Discovery Center and visit the Old Woman meteorite
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mojave Desert
- Mojave National Preserve
- Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Silverwood Lake
My mom has back issues that prevent her from hiking or walking on trails with elevation changes. Is it possible to visit these places by car, or are the routes flat enough?
I’d love for her to experience the desert with an itinerary adapted to her condition. I’m also open to other points of interest that aren’t mentioned. We have 3-4 days for the trip, so we’re not in a rush—just want to explore.
I’d love to take a road trip and visit Nova Scotia. I’d appreciate some info on the best cities to see and the most interesting spots. The trip should last about 10 to 15 days, staying in hotels or motels. Thanks in advance!

Is it pretty easy to navigate Detroit Airport to catch the connecting flight to Grand Rapids (domestic flight)? There are several of them who speak English well.

We’d like to walk to Eagle Falls and then Eagle Lake. I’ve spotted two parking lots that seem close to each other and give access to the trailhead. Where and how do we pay for entry to Emerald Bay State Park and Inspiration Point?
**Viewpoints on the East Side:**
Are most of the viewpoints (Balancing Rock, Granite Cave, Bonsai Rock, etc.) right by the road, or do you have to hike to reach them?
**Donner Memorial State Park:**
Is it worth making a detour to Truckee to visit this park and the Truckee historic downtown?

I'm shocked by the price of the Upper Antelope Canyon tour—$175 for less than an hour… You might say, "if you can’t afford it…" But the real question is whether it’s really worth it, because $350 for two makes me feel like I’m getting ripped off. For those who’ve done both Lower and Upper, can you tell me if the price difference is really justified? Thanks

As you can see, we're heading back from September 6th to the 27th.
Everything’s booked for September—flights, accommodations, and the car. As I plan, I’ll be asking the experts for help. This is our second trip to California, but most of the stops are new to us.

Cinder Cone and Painted Dunes (Day 4)
Devil’s Kitchen and Boiling Spring Lake (Day 5)
I’ve read there are trails to access the trailheads for Cinder Cone (11 km) and Warner Valley. Are these easy trails for an SUV?
Are there any other must-see spots or things we shouldn’t miss?

I’m a total USA addict. I’ve already done several road trips, including the East Coast and West Coast.
I’m here today because I’m planning to go back for another road trip on the West Coast. Possibly with one of my sisters and a couple of friends. It’s still just a plan for now, but I’m working on an itinerary in the meantime. Ideally, I’d leave in 2026, but I don’t have the exact dates yet—maybe April-May or September-October.
My last trip to the West Coast was in September 2014. We went for 2 weeks, but this time it’d be 3 weeks. What made me want to go back was simply a colleague who just left today. As I’m writing this, he’s on the plane. I’m so happy for him, but now all I can think about is going back.
Since I recently went to NY, I noticed that prices have really gone up. I assume the same is true for the West Coast? For 2 people over 3 weeks, what budget should I expect? We’re the type to watch our spending and find great tips.
I think we’ll arrive in San Francisco like the first time and leave from either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

I’m planning a week-long family trip to NYC in October 2026. The focus is on museums and soaking up the New York vibe. I’ve been checking Airbnb, but the prices in Manhattan are through the roof. Since I don’t know NYC well, is it "wise" to look outside Manhattan? Any neighborhoods you’d recommend?

I assume many of you already know, but the America the Beautiful annual pass, which was $80, will increase to $250 starting January 1, 2026.
So if you're planning to travel before the end of December 2026, it's in your best interest to buy your pass in December 2025, since it will still cost $80 and be valid until the end of December 2026 if you purchase it in December 2025.
This price increase only applies to non-U.S. residents.
Additionally, for those who planned to visit just one park, a $100 surcharge per person will apply to access a list of 11 national parks...
For example, if there are 4 of you in a car, you’ll have to pay $35 + $400,
which comes to $435 to visit one of the 11 parks on the list (I don’t have all of them... Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, etc.).
Total madness.
The goal is to push people who only visit one park into buying the annual pass.
Last point: free entry days are over for non-residents!

I’m planning a week in S.F. in April 2026 and I can’t figure out how to tell the cable cars—of which I understand there are three lines—apart from the trams, which I think number seven. I can’t find their individual numbers or routes anywhere.
