On m'a récemment proposé d'allez construire une école au Niger. En me renseignant un peu j'entend dire que c'est très difficile au début et même insurmontable pour certain. Le problème c'est que je n'est pas réussi à trouver quelqu'un qui y soit déja allez pour de l'humanitaire.
J'aimerait avoir des témoignages pour me faire une idée le plus proche possible de la réalité pour savoir à quoi m'attendre une fois là-bas. Je préfère cédé ma place à un autre plutôt qu'y allez puis craquer au bout de deux jours et rentrer chez moi.

je suis parti au tchad il y as qq année a la fin du mois de fevrier tres tres chaud + de 40 a l'arrivée? je me suis dit je rentre dans l'avion et retourne en france et je suis rester 3ans sur place.
il ne faut surtous pas hesiter au pir tu rentre aprés 3 jours au mieux jamais rien n'ai vraiment dificil pour celui qui est motiver et je ne pense pas que tu vas construire une école dans un camp de refugier ce qui est alors tres dur, mais il faut que ce soit clair dans ta tete que tu y vas pour les autres, que tu vas les aider a rehaliser une ecole et que ceux qui vont te recevoire vont te montre une autre culture, surtout soit ouvert a cette diference.

Construire une école, pas trop de problème, ca se fait, en fonction de l endroit et de la logistique c est évidemment plus ou moins facile. Mais ca se fait toujours.
Par contre le véritable enjeu, ce n est pas de construire l ecole mais c est de trouver des professeurs et de pérenniser leurs activités. En Afrique combien d ecoles, de hangar de stockage, de parcs de vaccination, de centres de santé pourrissant car construits sans meme reflechir au fonctionnement et aux moyens de travailler dans le long terme.
L Afrique n a pas tant besoin d ecoles que de retrouver l energie et la fierté d eduquer ses propres enfants. Il existe a Mada des ecoles chez l habitant, le batiment ne fait pas l education. Quel aberration de penser cela. Peu de moyens mis en oeuvre mais la mobilisation des energies locales, ce serait cela une des voies.
L extérieur ne règlera rien, juste un coup de pouce, le véritable changement viendra de l Afrique. Jamais un développement n a été piloté par les dons.
Faire croire cela c est entrainer l Afrique sur la voie desastreuse de l assistanat.
A chacun d apporter sa pierre, mais seule la dynamisation des energies locales sera gage de votre réussite, pas la construction de l ecole.
En fait je ne fait que me joindre à un projet déja bien entamé, l'école est déja construite à 70% environ, ils ont un institeur et un infirmier etc .... j'y vais pour aider à construire ce qui manque encore.
En parlant un peu autour de moi je me suis laissé dire qu'au début c'était choquant et assez dur de s'adapter.
J'ai du mal à me représenter ce à quoi je pourait être confronter mis à part la chaleur et la pauvreté.
Concernant tes craintes, plusieurs questions pour peut etre mieux te repondre :quel lieu pour l ecole ?combien de temps prévu ?quelle période ?
Personne ne peut savoir si il va s acclimater ou pas, il ne faut pas se mettre la pression comme cela car craquer n est pas une honte. Quand bien meme tu ne tiendrais pas le coup, pas de mal a cela, tu dis stop et basta, ca peut arriver a n importe qui.
Apres, les contextes les plus choquants sont les contextes de conflit ou post conflit et ceux de catastrophe (famine, tremblement de terre...). Certaines regions du Niger ont des pbs de sous nutrition assez graves et recurrents. Mais pour certains, la misere quotidienne qu on peut observer dans Niamey est deja trop choquante.
La chaleur est un frein a l acclimatation pour ceux qui ont du mal a la supporter, et la encore ca depend des gens.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
