Il faut se renseigner en France pour les vaccinations: en tout cas: fièvre jaune, et prendre malarone contre le palud!

Aller avec ton enfant c'est possible, mais il faut bien être prudent le soir: moustiquiare, vêtements couvris, donner les chaussettes le soir. Pendant la journée tu n'as pas des problèmens.
Moi je vive pour le pluspart, comme je te dis avant en Casamance; actuellement je suis à Rotterdam, pendant l'hivernage.
Les enfants; chez nous en Casamance les touristes ne donnent pas les bonbons et les crayons comme ça! Ça c'est un éducation très mal! Tu apprends les elèves qued c'est normal les"toubabs"( les blancs) leur donnent quelque chose, parce que ils sont riches.
Si vous voulez donner, cherche une école sur place, ou dans un très petit village (à saly il y a beaucoup des touristes!) ou si tu as le contact avec une famille pendant les vacances, tu peux voir qu'est ce que ça mangue là bas: il faut mieux payer un sac de riz pour un pauvre famille, ou le sucre!

Pour la santé :
Malarone :il y a un dosage enfant, donc c'est sans probleme, par contre à prendre le jour du départ et 1 semaine après le retour. Voir le dosage avec le pharmacien. C'est un médicament cher et non remboursé.
Fièvre Jaune : Conseillé mais non obligatoire, sauf si vous revenais d'une zone endémique, attention, pour etre valable, à faire au moins 10 jours avant le départ.
Glaçons : personnellement je pense qu'il faut éviter, sauf dans les grands hotels et après avoir demandé.
Prendre des médicaments pour la diaddhée, car meme avec précaution cela peut arriver.

De retour du Sénegal, je suis enchanté.
Quelques infos brèves : Température : il fait chaud (ce n'est pas un scoop !) mais c'est très suportable, environ 25 à 30 °. Le matin c'est très brumeux, on pense que c'est tout couvert, mais en fait c'est de la brume qui se lève vers 10 à 11h00. Il fait assez humide, surtout quand on arrive, mais ensuite on s'adapte. Au total, une température idéale. Sur mes 4 jours pas de pluie. Pour la photo, la lumière n'est pas très belle, sauf en fin de journée.
Pour le reste, fairte attention aux boissons. Uniquement fermées, pas de glaçons, sauf grands hotels.
Pour les cadeaux, c'est assez toxique, car, on ne peut pas s'arréter sans que les enfants vous réclament qq chose. Si vous donner un objet (ne jamais donner de l'argent) c'est vite ingérable, car cela devient un atroupement et une foire d'empoigne. Donc éviter la distribution directe.
Par exemple, il vaut mieux pour distribuer un paquet de bonbons, demander à une africaine de le faire à votre place, elle saura beaucoup mieux gérer ! Ou par exemple donner des stylos et cahiers à une école.
A part cela accueil extraordinaire dans les villages.
Je suis allé dans la région de Saly, sans sortir un seul soir en ville ! La brousse est tout de suite à la sortie de la ville, et on peut faire un vrai voyage au Sénegal, même à Saly. J'ai passé mes journées en brousse, sans rencontrer un seul blanc de la journée !

il faut te faire vacciner contre la fievre jaune, il te faut un traitement contre le paludisme... fais attention il y'en a de plusieurs sortes et certains ont des effets indésirables.
au nivau escursions, il faut faire les iles de saloum, le lac rose, gorée et la savane et visiter si tu peux les ports de pecheurs et les marchés dans les villages. pour cela, il faut que tu te trouve un guide avec qui tu resteras le long de la visite et tout se passera bien.
RECOMMANDATIONS SANITAIRES HABITUELLES POUR DES SEJOURS EN AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST :
PALUDISME
Du début de chaque saison touristique (fin octobre), jusqu'à la fin du mois de décembre (2 mois uniquement sur 8 mois de saison touristique d'hiver !), nous vous recommandons vivement de suivre, dès votre départ du continent européen et jusqu'à votre retour de vacances, un traitement médical efficace contre le paludisme. Chaque traitement étant différent, nous vous recommandons de respecter scrupuleusement les instructions de la notice d'utilisation relative au médicament choisi et/ou recommandé par votre médecin de famille.
Nous vous recommandons personnellement le recours à la molécule antipaludéenne MALARONE, développée par la firme pharmaceutique GLAXO-SMITHKLINE. Ce produit, malheureusement assez coûteux, à prise quotidienne ou hebdomadaire, offre l'énorme avantage d'une efficacité très élevée (> 99 %), sans les nombreux inconvénients importants des autres produits antipaludéens habituels disponibles sur le marché (SAVARINE, PALUDRINE, NIVAQUINE, .).
Cette molécule antipaludéenne MALARONE n'est pas disponible à la pharmacie de Cap Skirring et doit donc être achetée en Europe avant votre départ (nous disposons toujours de quelques boîtes de réserve pour les étourdis).
Si vous souhaitez effectuer un séjour résidentiel de longue durée à Cap Skirring ou en Casamance, nous vous rappelons que la poursuite de tout traitement antipaludéen est déconseillée au-delà de 4 semaines ininterrompues.
En sus de ce traitement de base, nous vous recommandons, en soirée uniquement, l'application soigneuse sur la peau d'une crème, d'un gel ou d'un spray répulsif contre les moustiques, de préférence comportant du Diethyl Toluamide à 40 % de dosage (DEET).
Notre domaine résidentiel étant situé en bordure immédiate de l'océan et étant balayé toute l'année par les vents « Alizés » rafraîchissants, il ne nous semble personnellement pas utile de vous recommander de traitement contre le paludisme entre les mois de janvier et de juin. Cette recommandation ne s'applique cependant que pour autant que vous n'envisagiez pas de passer vos soirées à l'intérieur des terres (villages de Cap Skirring et de Kabrousse).
VACCINS OBLIGATOIRES OU RECOMMANDEES Fièvre jaune Obligatoire au Sénégal. A faire dans un centre spécialisé au moins 10 jours avant de partir (si première vaccination) puis valable 10 ans. Le vaccin est contre-indiqué en cas de déficit immunitaire,
de grossesse et chez l'enfant de moins d'un an. Tétanos- Polio (+ diphtérie si possible) Indispensable. Il n'y a pratiquement pas de contre-indication. Hépatite A Très utile, (risque d'environ 1% par mois de séjour) surtout si séjour prolongé et voyage itinérant proche de la population sénégalaise. Protection acquise au dixième jour environ. Rappel entre 6 à 12 mois pour une protection de 10 ans. Chez les plus de 50 ans, une prise de sang (sérologie) peut permettre de dépister une immunisation naturelle rendant inutile la vaccination contre l'hépatite A. Il n'y a pratiquement pas de contre-indication. Hépatite B 3 injections réparties sur 6 mois sont nécessaires pour être protégé. Le risque est quasi exclusivement lié aux rapports sexuels sans préservatif et aux contacts avec le sang: une prévention non vaccinale est donc possible. Chez l'adulte jeune, un voyage est cependant une excellente occasion de faire cette vaccination. Des schémas courts sur un mois sont possibles mais la protection à long terme est mal connue. I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights

I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
