Is late February a good time to visit Taman Negara?

Yes, I’ve been to Taman Negara before. But it’d really be unwise to base an opinion on my own 4-day experience in April—it wouldn’t be reliable at all. Weather forecasts, whether for Taman Negara or anywhere else in the world, are best expressed in terms of probability. What’s certain is that long-term weather statistics for Taman Negara will always be more telling than the experience of someone who’s lived there year-round. Memory isn’t very objective... So what about someone who only spent 3 or 4 days there in month X of year Y? If someone asked me which month is best for spending 4 days in the Vercors, I’d struggle to answer. It varies a lot from year to year. At most, I’d suggest May to October. Only long-term statistics are likely to hold any truth. You’re much more likely to have fewer rainy days in February or March than in December! That’s a certainty. Average monthly rainfall stats (based on 15 years in Taman Negara):

January: ~274 mm February: ~135 mm to 170 mm (the driest month) March: ~181 mm April: ~250-300 mm (increase in showers) May: ~436 mm June to July: ~309 mm August to September: ~200-250 mm October: ~350 mm November: ~397 mm to 450 mm December: ~487 mm (peak of the monsoon)

Hey, what are you planning to do there? Two days is manageable, but longer stays can be tough due to the stifling heat, humidity, muddy trails, and especially the leeches. Are you going with a guide?

salut qu'est-ce que vous avez prévu d'y faire ? Sur 2 jours ça va sur plusieurs c'est un milieu assez difficile à cause de la chaleur étouffante, humidité, sentiers boueux et surtout les sangsues Vous allez prendre un guide ?

jour 1: arrivée de Kuala lumpur. Night walk peut etre Jour2: début trek organisé de 2 jours. Nuit ds caverne (je cherche encore une agence) jour 3: fin trek de 2 jours jour4: seberang canopy walk et bukit teresik le matin. milieu d'apres midi: bateau vers lata berkoh jour5: minibus vers Cameron highlands

salut c'est très bien. Si vous restez dans une grotte je pense que ça sera certainement les grottes Kepayang Il y a la petite (Kecil en malais) et grande (besar ) Ah ne faites pas comme moi ne plantez pas la tente n'importe où. Le matin lorsque je me suis levé une grande partie de la tente a été mangée par des bestioles 😄 Sans compter qu'il y a des éléphants qui passent sur les sentiers... si vous dormez dans une grotte une petite laine polaire c'est conseillé. Après celle petite n'est effectivement pas grande à peine quelques mètres carrés. Sinon le parcours c'est -démarrer sur une passerelle -après le sentier suit la Sungaï Tahan et le sentier monte et descend -puis un panneau qui indique qu'il faut prendre un guide.Il se sépare en deux -il y a un petit gué de mémoire puis une rivière.Il faut attraper une corde pour traverser la rivière -puis on arrive aux grottes

Sinon le Bukit Teresik c'est une colline à grimper on a une vue sur la Sungaï Tembeling
