Hi everyone,

I know you can buy anything in Thailand, but here’s a question you might find a bit odd. Are there plus sizes available? 😛 For example, for shoes, can you easily find sizes 38–40? And XL pants in sports brands????

Thanks in advance!

Yeah.....no worries.....There are Thais with big feet😄...... And if you go to the really touristy cities, they have American-sized options.....You can find 5 or 6XL......

That’s a weird question—

do you know any countries where men’s shoe sizes go down to 32?

Hello,

I’ve been living in Asia for two years and can’t find anything in my size (44)! An XL here is like a size 38 back home if you’re lucky, and I end up buying M for my 9-year-old daughter! It’s a nightmare unless you love American-style fashion, junk, or knockoffs (which are crude, overpriced, and super risky). Even in brand stores, they only go up to L, and the prices are high. There are exceptions, but you’ll have to search *forever*. The best solution is getting custom-made clothes—they’re great value for money. For shirts and pants, they’re excellent, but for dresses, bring your own patterns because they’re amazing copycats.

Shoes are different—sizes 38–40 are easy to find.

Hope you have a great trip to Thailand! Tsétsé

True, whether in Singapore or Bangkok over the past three years, shirt sizes labeled XL have been "adjusted" to local body types. You’ll need an Asian XXL to fit a European XL.

Any idea, even a rough estimate, of the cost for a plus-size custom-made shirt?

Thanks in advance! 🙂
