Hi Lydie, I’ve been to Mongolia twice with a guide. After my trips, my friend Isabelle wanted to go last summer with her family. Since my guide wasn’t available then, she gave her the contact for this small agency.

The manager, Olivier, is French, and his wife is Mongolian. It’s still a small family-run agency. She was really happy with her trip and keeps telling me about it. As a bonus, she got a mountain-biking excursion with Olivier, and they were picked up at the train station even though it wasn’t planned.

Anyway, I think you can go for it. I’m so jealous—I can’t wait to go back!

Thanks so much for your reply. I already contacted them—the itinerary they’re offering with kids doesn’t include a stop in the Gobi Desert.

Thanks, Lydie

Thanks for your message! The contacts we had with Olivier were great—he was very attentive to our wishes and suggested an itinerary that worked well for our kids. We’re about to book with them, but I’d love to hear from other travelers first. Have a good evening, Lydie

Thanks to everyone for your advice. We’ve just booked our 15-day trip to Mongolia with them. Would you happen to know a guesthouse to recommend in Ulaanbaatar? Thanks, Lydie

I stumbled back here by chance, quite surprised and delighted to see the forum is back! 😮 Since my last visit, I’ve returned to Mongolia once more. This time, I accompanied a group of 8 people on an even more unique trip, blending encounters with shamans, treks on foot and horseback... In short, another extraordinary experience, with flawless organization put together by Olivier from Azur Travel Mongolia.

As always, I’m taking the opportunity to share and highlight the small agencies that do remarkable work. It’s my way of thanking them for their dedication.
