Je ne trouve pas vraiment de réponses récentes (voir contradictoires) à ces questions alors les voici:
Tout d'abord, peut on faire son visa pour le rwanda à la frontiere ouganda/rwanda ou meme n'importe ou ailleurs en Ouganda (entebbe, kampala) ?
Ensuite, j'ai contacté ce matin l'ambassade de l ouganda pour avoir des infos et l'on m a envoyé un mail indiquant que deux pages vierges de passeport face a face étaient necessaire pour le visa est ce bien le cas ? et en est t il de meme pour le rwanda ?
(Je vous pose cette question car je n'ai plus qu'une page vierge sur mon passeport et que je vais etre juste en temps pour le refaire...)

concernant le visa Rwandais pour une entrée en provenance de l'Ouganda par voie terrestre: remplir le formulaire en ligne proposé par l'ambassade du Rwanda à Paris qui vous fera parvenir en retour une "facilité d'entrée" à présenter au poste frontière permettant d'obtenir le visa sur place: prix indiqué par l'ambassade au 20 avril 2012 : 30 USD pour une entrée simple.
le formulaire demande d'indiquer une date d'entrée et un poste frontière ("a proposed date" et "a proposed entry point"), il s'agit donc de date "envisagée" et d'un point frontière "possible" ce qui laisse une latitude pour éventuellement modifier date d'entrée et choix du poste frontière.
le document demande aussi une "lettre d'invitation", pour ma part je n'en ai pas, et à la place, j'ai en pièce jointe fourni la copie des billets d'avion...
je viens tout juste de recevoir ce document (format PDF) qu'il suffit donc de photocopier pour une présentation au poste frontalier.
j'étais moi même à la recherche de renseignements sur l'obtention de visa et j'ai tenté le formulaire en ligne et ça a marché...
j'attends le même document pour mon épouse qui bizarrement n'est tjs pas arrivé, alors que nos demandes ont été faites conjointement..le traitement de la demande n'a peut être pas été effectué par la même personne...on verra.

j'ai finalement opté pour le passage par l'ambassade directement, je suis un peu short en temps mais ca devrait aller (meme si il demande une résa d'hotel et un billet avion A/R que je n'ai pas présenté ils ont l'air plutot comprehensif)
j'ai recu en message privé l'info que l on pouvait aussi le faire sur kampala en quelques jours ce que j'essayerai de faire si il y a probleme ici.
J essayerai d'alimenter un peu plus en infos a mon retour car ca manque sur ces destinations... départ demaine prochaine ! 🙂

Voilà que je te retrouve par ici ! J'ai justement une petite info complémentaire par rapport au visa pour le Rwanda. Comme tu le sais, nous avons déposé nos demandes à l'ambassade avec une invitation pour la durée stricte de notre séjour (soit 8 jours) comme cela nous était demandé.
Le visa a été délivré à compter de la date de notre arrivée spécifiée sur le document et pour 3 mois. Ce qui permet finalement d'avoir aussi un peu de souplesse en passant par cette méthode !
Je confirme sinon qu'ils sont très sympa à l'ambassade 🙂

Pour ce qui est de la location de moto je n'ai demandé que pour les locations de boda boda (taxi moto qui roule bien souvent avec des 125 indienne...)
il faut compter en moyenne 40000 shillings par jour negociable evidemment. (1l d essence= 3700 shillings env)
Que ce soit au rwanda ou en ouganda il est assez facile de les louer mais certaines moto sont vraiment en piteux etat... donc ne pas hésiter a les essayer avant.
bien sur pas de contrat (ou alors juste un mot sur une feuille volante)... pas d assurance. Pour des motos de plus grosse cylindré je ne peux pas te renseigner mais il est deja difficile de louer des voitures (sans chauffeur) alors des motos...ca me parait compliqué mais pas forcement infaisable !

je ne peux pas t informer sur la frontiere kenya/ouganda mais pour ce qui est du visa rwandais le mieux c'est en effet de suivre les conseil donné plus haut par mars.
remplir l'autorisation sur internet a envoyer a l'ambassade il te la retourne et a la frontiere tu presente ce document et tu peux payer directement sur place 30 dollars

le prix des hotels est un peu plus elevé a entebbe qu a kampala mais il y'en a un correct qui est juste au dessus de la gare de bus d'entebbe petit budget et chambres correctes (je l ai visité mais pas prix de chambre car pas dans mon budget qui etait tres limité il faut dire...) sinon tu peux demander a n importe quelle personne (surtout aux moto taxi) a la gare de bus en leur indiquant ton budget et ils se feront un plaisir de te conduire dans n importe quel hotel (il y'en a tout les prix) et surtout cela va sans dire: negocier encore et toujours...negocier...

Je ne crois pas que tu pourras entrer sans avoir la facilité d'entrée ou le visa lui-même. Il est clairement indiqué partout qu'aucun visa n'est délivré aux postes frontières. Appelle peut être l'ambassade du Rwanda à Paris pour t'en assurer ?
😠😎😏 Salut Je suis un expatrié français qui habite maintenant au Kenya. j'ai fait le tour du lac Victoria en vélo il y un an,2800 kilomètres, Kenya-Ouganda-Rwanda-Burundi-Tanzanie-Kenya. J'ai eu ce problème de savoir comment je passe de l'Ouganda au Rwanda. Il y a un an certains pays obtenaient le visa au poste frontière d'entrée au Rwanda et d'autres non dont la France qui n'est pas très aimée par les autorités et certains du pays, d'après ce que j'ai cru comprendre. Le Rwanda est un pays compliqué mais actuellement sans problème. J'ai fait une demande en ligne avant mon départ du Kenya mais je n'ai pas obtenu de réponse de l'ambassade du Rwanda à Paris en ligne pour une raison que j'ignore. Arrivé à Kampala j'ai fait une demande à l'ambassade rwandaise en Ouganda, il m'ont délivré le visa en trois jours. Renseigne toi bien mais si rien n'a changé depuis un an c'est peut-être trop hasardeux d'arriver au poste frontière sans le visa obtenu au préalable. En partant de Zambie tu auras l'ambassade de Lusaka, celle de Dar Es Salam si tu va à Zanzibar en Tanzanie ou celle de Bujumbura si tu passe par le Burundi et également l'ambassade rwandaise si elle éxiste de Lilongwe au Malawi. Ceci dit j'ai rencontré des voyageurs qui l'ont obtenu en ligne. Ton problème avec le site doit être passager car l'adresse et bonne. Si je n'ai pas obtenu de réponse en ligne il y a un an c'est peut-ête parce que j'ai fait l'erreur de préciser que j'étais en vélo(Tu es en vélo?).Le mieux c'est de remplir le formulaire bien mais avec le minimum. Au pire j'aurai un visa de transit pour 3 jours à la frontière semble-t-il? Dommage pour le Rwanda, mais par ailleurs le prix annoncé du visite du parc des volcans (750 $ par personne, est-ce bien cela?) incite à essayer un autre pays pour l'approche spécifique des gorilles.

Finalement mon problème de visa a été résolu très facilement il y a un certain temps, j'ai fait une lettre à l'ambassade du Rwanda à Paris en expliquant mon problème et en joignant le formulaire rempli, une dame très aimable m'a téléphoné aussitôt, me disant que mon visa était déjà prêt, que je n'avais qu'à envoyer mon passeport, une photo, la preuve du virement de 40 € sur le compte de l'ambassade et une enveloppe timbrée correctement pour le retour du passeport sans aucune lettre d'invitation. Ce que j'ai fait immédiatement. J'ai reçu mon passeport avec un visa pour entrées multiples valide trois mois.
Me voilà tranquille pour le Rwanda.
J'envisage de remonter jusqu'en Uganda. Et là j'aurai le choix pour mon retour, sachant je connais déjà un peu le Kenya. Quelqu'un sait-il si le (long) trajet routier jusqu'à Addis Abeba via Nairobi et Moyale est possible actuellement (absence de troubles dans la zone frontalière) ou s'il vaut mieux éviter? Question annexe dans ce cas, peut-on obtenir le visa de l'Ethiopie à la frontière terrestre? Sinon j'ai peut-être la possibilité de demander ce visa à l'avance lors de mon escale aérienne à l'aller à Addis Abeba, mais je ne serai qu'en transit.

Je vous explique ma situation.
J'ai malheureusement perdu mon passeport , et je m'en suis rendu compte seulement 2 semaines avant mon départ pour une mission humanitaire en Libye. Je suis infirmière et cette mission me tient vraiment à cœur.
J'ai d'abord fait une demande de passeport d'urgence, qui a été refusée par la préfecture du Val-d'Oise, au motif qu'une mission humanitaire programmée ne constituait pas un motif impérieux.
J'ai donc déposé une demande de passeport biométrique le 20 juillet. Depuis, le suivi est bloqué et la mairie ne peut (ou ne veut) pas vraiment me donner d'informations. À chaque appel, on me donne une version différente. La dernière information que j'ai eue est que le passeport serait produit depuis le 23 juillet et avec un statut "va être expédié", mais depuis plus rien.
J'ai réussi à repousser mon départ au maximum à mardi prochain, mais je commence vraiment à paniquer.
Est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont déposé une demande autour du 20 juillet, notamment dans le Val-d'Oise (95) ? Combien de temps avez-vous attendu entre la production du passeport et sa mise à disposition en mairie ? Est-ce normal que cette étape prenne aussi longtemps ?
Cette mission représente énormément pour moi. J'avais tout organisé et je suis également censée assister au mariage d'une amie à la frontière juste après.

The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Seoul in September, and to do that I need to get a travel authorization that we apply for through K-ETA....... turns out I can (barely, I admit) fill out the form up to the address of our "stay location," but every address I’ve entered has been rejected by the system. I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?

Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.
