Ainsi, je souhaite partir en Australie, de préférence dans le Queensland et/ou le Victoria, certes pour découvrir ce pays mais aussi pour perfectionner mon anglais, lequel est indispensable pour travailler dans le tourisme. Je sais que le visa WH semble appropié pour une expérience d'une année. Cependant, savez-vous si sur le territoire australien il est possible de modifier ce visa en un permanent dans le cas où je trouverais un emploi sur une période supérieure à 3 mois? Aussi, peut-on prolonger ce visa working holiday toujours en étant sur le territoire australien? Puis, connaissez-vous les périodes les plus propices pour arriver en Australie? Peut-on partir en Australie avec un visa touriste, et chercher du travail, si travail il y a faire une demande de visa permanent (je pense que c'est ce type de visa qu'il faut lorsqu'on a du travail)?
J'aimerais savoir pas mal d'autres choses, mais pour l'instant je vais en rester là...

Avec le WHV, tu ne peux pas travailler plus de 3 mois pour le même employeur contrairement aux autres pays accordant ce visa.
La demande de visa permanent est indépendante. Tu peux la commencer sur place si tu veux.

Le WHV peut être prolongé d'un an, c'est tout nouveau. Va faire un tour sur le site de l'ambassade d'Australie pour les infos.
Sinon il peut être prolongé par un visa de touriste ( 3 mois )
En Oz, les saisons sont inversées par rapport à la France, en Juillet là-bas, c'est l'hiver.
Arriver à partir de Septembre, c'est l'idéal.
Cependant, quand il fait beau au Nord, il fait frais dans le Sud, il faudra étudier ton parcours si tu veux bouger.

Avec un visa de touriste tu ne peux pas travailler, sauf dans les fermes où tu es nourri logé. Le fruitpicking sans visa de travail, c'est de moins en moins facile.
Tu pourras faire ta demande de visa permanent, à condition que tu aies les ressources pour vivre de 6 mois à un an ( durée d'obtention du visa )

Je te remercie beaucoup pour les infos que tu m'as fournies, c'est cool... Bien sûr, il faut que j'aille voir sur le site de l'ambassade, mais concernant le WH, j'avais lu qu'on pouvait le renouveler à condition d'avoir travailler au moins 3 mois dans une ferme. Est-ce le seul moyen, ou quelque soit les jobs on a la possibilité de le renouveler?
Et alors, on peut faire une demande de visa permanent sur le territoire australien même, sans revenir en France, c'est bien ça?
Concernant les billets d'avion, je n'arrive pas à chercher sur le net des billets avec un retour dans un an (ils ne sont pas mis à jour), alors sais-tu comment m'y prendre? Connais-tu des compagnies avantageuses? Sais-tu s'il est intéressant de prendre un billet aller et de fixer celui du retour depuis l'Australie, quand je serai plus au point sur le lieu et la date (je crois que c'est les billets open)?

Pour un 2ème WHV sur le territoire Australien, il faut :
travailler 3 mois cumulés à la ferme après le 1er Mai 2005
Seasonal work: harvesting and/or packing of fruit and vegetable crops, pruning and trimming vines and trees, thinning and trimming flowers and bunches, and general maintenance crop work
avoir travaillé n'importe où sur le territoire sauf les zones suivantes : Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, the NSW Central Coast, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth, Melbourne or the ACT.
prouver les 3 mois de travaux à la ferme en remplissant et fournissant les documents adéquats aux autorités.

je suis presentement en australie depuis 4 mois. moi aussi jai le WH visa et jaimerais deja le prolonger apres mon annee ici mais jai lu que on pouvais le ralonger dune annee a partir de nov prochain mais a condition davoir fait du fruit picking pendant 3 mois ...ce qui ets assez dure comme boulot pareil . pour ce qui ets darriver ici avec un visa touriste et le changer par la suite ce nest pas fesable . mais moi je pense essayer de changer mon visa a la fin de mon annee pour avoir un visa touriste. tu compte aller au victoria ..je ne sais pas quand mais moi jy suis aller pendant lhiver 2 mois et demi et des que jai vue sydney je ne voulais plu y retourner!! mais tout depend des gout jetais a melbourne cest plus les art et le magasinage sydney cets plage soleil et surf...meme si sydney cets la vie plus cher. melbourne en hiver cets tres froid!!! meme pour moi qui ets canadienne!!!! le meilleur temps pour venir??? quand lete arrive!!! je dirais dan sles environ de nov.....mais meme presentement on est en hiver mais sa ne parais pas tellement a sydney. le visa permanent je ne sais pas trop comment ca fonctionne mais on ma parler que lon devais accumuler des point...coter anglais, diplome et tout. si tu a des question ecrit moi a morencysarah@yahoo.fr jessaiyerai de taider du mieu que je peu!

Oui, tu as bien lu, le mesure est effective à partir de Novembre pour le renouvellement.
Après un WHV et un visa d'études, on peut effectivement prolonger par un visa de touriste ( 3 mois x 2 )
Tu peux faire une procédure de visa résident en étant touriste, pas de souci, tu commences la procédure avant de partir, tu passes la visite médicale en Oz. Une fois le visa en poche, tu prends des vacances en Nouvelle-Zélande et tu le fais valider.
Donne des nouvelles de temps en temps, ce serait sympa.

Je prévois de partir dans 1 mois en australie en WHV et j'ai une question toute bête : pouvez-vosu me dire si on trouve facilement du travail avec un WHV ?
On ne peut pas rester plus de 3 mois chez le même employeur, mais est-il possible de bosser chez X 3 mois, puis rester 1 mois en vacances par ex, et revenir bosser 1 à 3 mois chez toujours ce même boss X ?
Et si on reste chez le même employeur, mais qu'il nous propose un job différent après 3 mois ? On peut encore bosser chez ce super boss ou est-on quand même obligé de lui dire Adieu ?

D'après les retours des WHV sur place, pas de problème pour trouver un p'tit job ( bars, restos, fruitpicking, jobs de commerciaux porte à porte )
Pour bosser dans une entreprise en tant qu'administratif par exemple, il faut un excellent niveau d'anglais...le plus compliqué, c'est la restriction du visa qui impose de ne pas travailler plus de 3 mois pour le même employeur.
Mais certaines boîtes gardent les WHV plus de 3 mois dans les faits, en mentionnant sur leur fiche de salaire une autre fonction, voire un autre nom de société ( une filiale par exemple ).
