Je pars fin juillet pour Canberra, pour y faire un stage de six mois.
Donc je vais arriver là-bas dans un mois toute contente et... toute paumée ! Et figurez-vous que je commence à m'inquiéter de mon logement pour ces six mois.
J'ai commencé à éplucher les annonces de colocs sur internet, mais force m'est de reconnaître que je n'arrive pas bien à me représenter la vie là-bas, la taille des rues et la forme des fenêtres !
Certains d'entre vous pourraient-ils me parler un peu de la vie à Canberra ? Quels sont les quartiers "bien" ? Par bien j'entends parfait, évidemment 😉
C'est-à-dire avec de quoi faire des courses, de quoi sortir un peu, pas dangereux pour une fille qui aime marcher la nuit, avec un parc, pas loin du centre... Bon, si vous en connaissez qui vérifient au moins un de ces critères, ça va aussi !
Question tout aussi importante : comment trouve-t-on une coloc sur place ? Peut-être trouverai-je par internet, mais je sais par exemple qu'ici, à Madrid, il est d'usage d'aller relever les petites annonces affichées à la fac. Et ça marche très bien ! Existe-t-il un lieu stratégique à Canberra pour les petites annonces de coloc ?
Et pendant que j'y suis : est-il fréquent de disposer d'internet à domicile ? Les cyber-cafés sont-ils nombreux ?

Canberra est une ville géniale mais d'apres que je lis sur ce forum, c'est une ville peu fréquentée par les touristes.
Moi, j'y ai voyagé plusiers fois et quant aux quartiers pour s'installer, les plus parfaits (= très chers) sont les quartiers près du lac Burley Griffin à proximité du centre-ville, surtout Kingston et Manuka dans le sud et Braddon dans le nord. Si tu aimes faire du cyclisme, tu te croiras au paradis parce qu'il y a des pistes cyclables et de jolis parcs partout.
Pour trouver un coloc en ligne, tu peux consulter le journal Canberra Times http://canberra.yourguide.com.au/home.asp sous la rubrique Classifieds et puis Accommodation.

Par rapport aux villes européennes, toutes les villes australiennes ont l'air trop moderne. Ce qui frappe les visiteurs, c'est que la ville ne ressemble à aucune autre ville du pays. Pour cette raison, même les Australiens ressent un petit dépaysement dans la capitale nationale en y arrivant la première fois! Par conséquent, la ville provoque des émotions très fortes - pour et contre.
Selon mon expérience personnelle, Canberra est très agréable.
Quant à la nature, la ville a été conçue pour intégrer la nature autant que possible. On voit des arbres et parcs partout. D'ailleurs, la ville est bordé de petites montagnes, dont les sommets sont couverts de neige en hiver!
Et peut-on sortir facilement de la ville pour aller randonner, camper, se promener ?

Tu me donnes encore plus envie d'aller là-bas ! Je voulais aller en Australie, mais je n'avais pas choisi la ville, je vais là où se déroule mon stage.
Maintenant j'ai très envie de découvrir cette ville ! Des montagnes dans la ville ?! Rien que pour ça, ça vaut la peine d'aller au bout du monde ! Bon, il n'y a pas non plus que ça ;)
