Hi! I land at Changi Airport in Singapore on December 1st and take a direct flight to Chiang Mai later the same day, but I can only find pretty steep prices—like 250 € for a 3-hour nonstop with Scoot. Anyone have a tip for finding something cheaper? Thanks so much! First trip in 6 years!!!! Prices have doubled... ugh :

Hi there, For direct flights, Scoot is the only option.

Hi there, no direct options other than Scoot, but a stop in Bangkok with Lion Air cuts the cost—though it’s a bit long. Otherwise, there’s an option for **170 €**: 05:20 – 06:30 Scoot 1 h 10 SIN– KUL

13:00 – 14:40 AirAsia 2 h 40 min KUL– CNX

Leaving on the same day carries a real risk if the international flight is delayed or canceled.

Otherwise, an option is to take a bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, then a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Chiang Mai. You shouldn’t be in a hurry, though.

Hi, Other options around 170 € to 200 € with AirAsia + AirAsia via a ~2h layover at DMK or KUL.

..how long is the bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur? And is it a good way to relax after a long flight? If you have any other info about the bus, thanks! !

Great site! A bit complicated to organize all the connections this time, but I’ll keep it in mind... thanks again!

Hi,

a bit complicated to organize everything with the connections

If you could finally tell us what time your initial flight arrives in Singapore, we might be able to suggest which flights to take, their numbers, connection times, etc., to continue to Chiang Mai.

Hi Songsam....uh, "anyway"... I was just looking for leads, not for someone to map out my whole itinerary for me. So I found one! With a short layover in BKK at a decent price with Thai Airways. Thanks for everything!

Hi Mune, How long is the short layover? And what’s a reasonable price?
MU Mune Regular ·
So, departure from Changi at 15:55 and arrival in BKK at 17:15. Layover of 1h50, then arrival in Chiang Mai at 20:25 with Thai Airways and checked baggage for 216 € on Opodo. All that's left is to pack...!!!!

Thanks! I just checked your profile and discovered the world of Thai trains... which I still know very little about but want to explore more. I'm a huge fan of local buses and slow travel... Can't wait to get back into all that!

Same here, and I love wandering through the countryside. On that note, a little "promo": https://voyageforum.com/forum/parties-campagne-thailandaise-d10760313/
