Bonjour,

Je sollicite votre aide pour un road-trip de 3 semaines de mi-septembre à début octobre depuis Montréal.

On aimerait faire une partie du Québec + Gaspésie, en commençant volontairement par la Gaspésie car si on le fait à la fin (début octobre donc) il paraît que les conditions météo seront moins favorables et que pas mal de choses seront déjà fermées. Aussi j'ai lu que les couleurs d'automne seraient plus belles vers la Mauricie et les Laurentides vers la fin de notre séjour (début octobre).

Voici l'itinéraire que l'on a imaginé :

Montréal (aéroport d'arrivée et de départ) -> Québec -> Charlevoix -> Traversée du St Laurent de St Siméon à Rivière du Loup -> Rimouski et Parc du Bic -> Gaspésie en longeant la côte (Matapedia, Percé, île Bonaventure, Gaspé, Parc Forillon) -> Traversée du St Laurent de Matane à Baie Comeau -> Tadoussac jusque Lac St Jean via la route qui longe la rivière Saguenay -> Retour vers Montréal par la Tuque en traversant les Laurentides et le parc de la Mauricie

C'est notre première fois au Canada donc n'hésitez pas à être critique (je le prendrai pas mal 😉), si le parcours envisagé est trop ambitieux (nous sommes conscients que nous aurons beaucoup de route !) et s'il est préférable de supprimer certaines étapes qui ne seraient pas incontournables.

Hi everyone, I’ve got 2 weeks of vacation to take (around Sept 15–Oct 10 max). I’m thinking of Canada since I’ve never been, to see the beautiful fall colors, mix in some sports activities (hiking or others), and a bit of city exploration... Traveling solo, backpacker style (youth hostels), renting a car/van or using buses... (whichever is most cost-effective and practical). Which area would you recommend?

For arrival, I can fly into Montreal, Quebec City, or Toronto at the cheapest fares.

What itinerary (big picture) or activities would you suggest? Or maybe you’d advise against it? ))

Hi, I’d like to visit Quebec this fall or starting in August (what do you recommend?). I’d love to meet some Quebecers and get some tips on transportation. I’m wondering if it’s doable with an electric mountain bike (not too much rain?). I’m planning to buy one second-hand and return it afterward. If there are any travel buddies out there too...thanks

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist! But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point. I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing! In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing! I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me! If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Quebec and New Brunswick this summer and got a Revolut Classic card for the trip. I’ve already exchanged some Canadian dollars in the app so I’ll have a reserve ready for my departure day. My question is whether I’ll incur any additional fees when using my Canadian dollar account. I think I’m limited to 200 € in ATM withdrawals for my part. Thanks!
