Urgent: Studying at a "community college" in the United States
Hi everyone, so I’m planning to go study at a community college in the U.S., but the only snag is which one—there are so many options over there! I’ve heard about one in California, Diablo Valley College, and another in Florida, Valencia College. I know both states are super attractive for tourism, but my main criteria are teaching quality and price. I’m open to any advice, comments, or suggestions—thanks in advance! The start of the semester is coming up, and I’m a little nervous... READY, SET...... GO...... TO YOUR KEYBOARDS!!!!!!!! lol

Hello. We’re a couple with an 11-year-old daughter and we’re looking for a good deal on a bar and/or restaurant in the tourist areas of Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or Mérida. If anyone knows of one or is on the ground and can give us some great tips, we’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Safe travels.

Jobs/Training in Morocco
Hi everyone,

As an anthropologist, I’m planning to move to Rabat in the coming months, partly to give my career a new sense of purpose.

In that context, do you happen to have any advice or names of organizations/associations you could share to help me shape my job-search strategy?

I’m also considering—if the opportunity arises—starting a training program or beginning a *Validation des Acquis de l’Expérience* (VAE) to become a specialized educator. Do you think it’s better to complete this program in Morocco or to obtain my VAE in France?

Looking forward to your feedback, and thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Ludivine

How to get a work permit in Quebec?
Hi everyone,

My husband and I are planning to move to the beautiful region of Quebec for work. But honestly, we’re finding all sorts of conflicting information when trying to figure out how to start the eligibility process.

Have any of you gone through these steps before? If so, we’d love to hear your tips!

My husband works in baking (bakery/pastry), and I work in insurance in France.

I think his job might be easier to get a work permit for than mine.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

the Durand family

Looking for a baker job in Canada
Hi everyone, I’m Pierre, I’m 19, and I’m looking for a baker position in Canada—could you help me out, please? I’m really passionate about this trade. I’ve been in it for 3 years now, including 1 year as a qualified worker. I’ve got a huge thirst for knowledge, whether it’s in my job or discovering the world. If you’ve got any questions, don’t hesitate—I’m not really sure how this works here! :)

Quebec: Living There and Finding a Job
Hi everyone,

I’m planning to spend two years in Quebec and have secured a visa that allows me to live there for that long. I’m currently looking for a job. Would anyone have any leads on how to approach companies from France? I’m based in Paris and am looking for work in IT (Data Analyst, etc.). For example, could the Canadian embassy in Paris connect me with companies? Do you think it’s possible to move to Canada and find a job once I’m there?

Thanks! Have a great day

Where can I find my quiet paradise for retirement?
I’m turning 65 and I’ve had enough! Enough of France that no longer feels like my France, enough of our societies that are too civilized, too globalized, too complicated... I’d love to find a little quiet corner to spend my final years. A beautiful, warm spot where dogs can still run freely, where social media doesn’t matter, where money isn’t supposedly the key to happiness, where there aren’t 10,000 people per square meter, no cars, no noise! Just a tiny garden, a cabin, a stretch of beach nearby, kind and smiling people, a little café to hang out in, and good fruit that still tastes like something... I mean, I’m not asking for the moon here, am I? I don’t need much, right? Who’s got some good ideas for me? I already know it’s not in Europe, not in the United States, not in Australia, and probably not in Africa. Can’t wait to read your suggestions! =D Chiffonnade

Five months in Australia or South America?
Hi everyone!

I’m taking a sabbatical year and have 5 months ahead of me. I’d like to either go to Australia with a WHV (working holiday visa) and travel around while working, or go to Argentina to take Spanish classes and do some volunteering for a month, then travel around South America, passing through Brazil, Peru, Chile, and of course Argentina. What do you recommend? I suspect South America would be a more intense human experience, as it’s a poorer and less "developed" region of the world. I also wanted to know if it’s feasible to find someone sailing from Australia to New Zealand in Australian ports?

Thanks in advance for your replies :)

Working and living in Morocco
Hi everyone,

After several trips and meetings in Morocco, I’d like to take the plunge and go work there.

I’m French and currently a Project Manager for an IT consulting firm. I’m primarily looking at Casablanca.

Could you share any advice or experiences? Is it better to go there and look for opportunities on the spot, and if so, who should I reach out to?

Alternatively, do you know of any French companies looking for someone with my profile for a position in Morocco?

I’m open to any great tips or potential contacts.

Thanks in advance, everyone!!

Hi there,

I’m thinking about moving to New Delhi. Could you tell me more about your experience living in the city? I’ve heard a lot about the severe pollution, in particular.

Thanks so much!

Buying an apartment in Casablanca
Hi everyone, I’d like to buy a new apartment in Casablanca on a small budget, but I don’t know who or what to trust—whether it’s for a mortgage or a developer. I’m doing some research online to get an idea, but hearing from someone with experience is much more reassuring. I’m planning to come this summer to buy the apartment since I really want to visit often, especially for my kids. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Engineering internship in an African country
Hello, As part of my engineering degree, I need to complete a three-month internship abroad. I’d prefer to do it in an English-speaking African country, though I’m also open to French-speaking ones. Below is a non-exhaustive list of countries I’m currently considering. I should mention that I’m African myself—I’m from the Central African Republic and I’m studying in France. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the best country to choose based on criteria like safety, infrastructure, and hospitality. Which countries would you recommend, friends? Thanks in advance for your feedback! Countries: South Africa, Ghana, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Angola, Tanzania, Senegal, Uganda, Mozambique, Cameroon, Benin

Working as a Psychologist in South Korea
Hi, I’m currently in my first year of high school (ES track) and I’d like to become a psychologist specializing in criminology and victimology (profiler) later on. After or during my studies, I’d love to live permanently in South Korea, but I’m not sure if this profession exists there and/or if it’s recognized?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
