The city's climate is strongly influenced by the sea, offering year-round mildness and significant sunshine, even in winter when the sun shines for an average of five or six hours. Sea Temperatures Throughout the Year
The sea starts to become pleasant from April-May and remains so until nearly the second half of autumn. In winter, while the Mediterranean is far from freezing, cool northerly winds lower both air and water temperatures.
