Flying to Anguilla
FR

General Information

Anguilla is one of those islands with direct flights only to and from other islands in the region, with nothing beyond. This means visitors from North America or Europe must transit through these islands, primarily Puerto Rico (for Americans) or the French West Indies, particularly the nearby island of Saint Martin, which also benefits from a convenient ferry link to Anguilla.

That said, Anguilla’s small airport, "Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport," still handles a fair amount of traffic with its few regular routes (Puerto Rico being the main one) and, above all, charters from the rest of the Caribbean.

Types of Flights

Local Airlines

There is no "regular" airline flying under Anguilla’s colors. The island only has a few small carriers operating charters or on-demand flights, such as Anguilla Air Services or Trans Anguilla Airways, competing with U.S. companies operating in the same niche.

Charters, Scheduled, and Low-Cost Flights

Air traffic to Anguilla includes around ten regular routes and four to five times as many charters or seasonal services.
