Flying to Tunisia
Location Map of Tunisia
General Information
Tunisia has around ten airports, with Tunis, Monastir, Hammamet, and Djerba being the main ones. Tunis is also the hub for the national airline Tunisair, just as Monastir is for Nouvelair.
From France alone, around ten airports offer direct regular flights to Tunisia.
Types of Flights
Tunisian Airlines
There are two Tunisian airlines: the group Tunisair, the national carrier, and Nouvelair, which operates many flights to and from Europe, including numerous charters and seasonal flights.
Charters, Scheduled, and Low-Cost Flights
If there’s one destination where charters are still common, it’s Tunisia. The country has only recently opened up to low-cost airlines, which have largely replaced charter services elsewhere.
In short, you’ll find scheduled flights, charters (often operated by Nouvelair), and a few low-cost options like Transavia or easyJet. Compare prices to find the best deal.
Promotions and Special Offers
Since Tunisia is a highly touristic destination, frequent promotions are available, including "all-inclusive" packages (flight + hotel) offered by travel agencies. These can sometimes be more cost-effective than booking a flight alone.

Direct Flights or with Stopovers
Given the wide range of options available year-round from Paris and other cities, prioritize direct flights and avoid those with stopovers.
Selection Criteria
Whether you’re flying from Paris, the regions, or elsewhere:
- Always prioritize direct flights due to their availability.
- If departing from Paris, compare flight details (airports and schedules).
- Depending on where you live, check offers from nearby cities (more options in peak season).
- Similarly, consider arrival cities in Tunisia (many airports are close to each other), especially if you plan to travel around.
- Don’t forget to look at the frequent promotions for Tunisia, available almost year-round from both Paris and the regions.
- Travel agencies often offer "all-inclusive" packages (flight + hotel). These can sometimes be more interesting, with the total cost of flight and hotel being nearly the same or even cheaper (!) than a standalone flight.
- Finally, to find the best prices, avoid summer months and peak travel dates.
From the Rest of Europe
There’s also a wide range of options here...
