What to pack

From spring to autumn, pack light clothing plus a sweater for evenings or air conditioning. In winter, slightly warmer or mid-season clothes are enough. However, sunglasses, sun protection, a hat, and optionally a cheich (a long local scarf) are essential year-round or nearly so.

Precautions

Staying in Agadir doesn’t require any special precautions; risks are very limited as long as you don’t act carelessly, and there’s a tourist police force ensuring everything runs smoothly. What’s more, the city is far more tolerant on many issues (including homosexuality) than the rest of the country. The only real thing to watch out for is the sometimes strong currents along certain parts of the coast when swimming.
