Cruises

There aren’t many cruises sailing the Indian Ocean, and most depart from Dubai. Mauritius, with its capital, is nevertheless a classic stop for these, welcoming around thirty cruise ships each year.

Sailing Boats

Few sailing boats make their way to Mauritius. They’re mostly found—and logically so—outside cyclone season (November to April), primarily in the north around Grand Baie. From Mauritius, it takes at least a full day’s sailing to reach Réunion and a good week to get to Rodrigues.
