Nature and Adventure
While the north is mostly desert (which has its own "charm"), you’ll find stunning landscapes here and there, especially along the Pacific side. The highlight is Copper Canyon and its surroundings, which you can explore via the Chihuahua al Pacifico Railway, a scenic route connecting the cities of Chihuahua and Los Mochis on the coast. This region and its coastline also offer plenty of outdoor activities.
Culture
There’s little to discover culturally; the cities have few notable architectural landmarks, and pre-Columbian ruins are mostly limited to Paquimé.
Relaxation and Holidays
The city of Mazatlan marks the start of the Mexican Riviera, stretching southward. It remains the main beach resort destination in the northern region.
