Spanish is the country’s official language and is spoken by everyone. Due to its proximity to Brazil, Portuguese/Brazilian is also widely spoken (including in its mixed form, "Portuñol", which blends Portuguese with Spanish). English, widely taught in schools, and Italian, the language of many migrants, are also common. French, while spoken by some enthusiasts, remains a "secondary" language in the country.
