Hi there,

We’ll be staying in London for 3 nights in September.

Could you recommend a hotel near a tube station, at a good price, with fairly spacious rooms?

Thanks! 🌸

Hi there,

The best neighborhoods to stay in are South Kensington/Earl's Court—very well connected by the Piccadilly and District lines (direct from Heathrow Airport). You also have Stratford, which is a bit more out of the way to the east but only 15-20 minutes from the center via the Central Line or Elizabeth Line. That’s where you’ll find the newest hotels and prices that are often 30% cheaper than in the city center. Paddington is another great option—very central and perfect for getting around.

I’ve shared some favorite spots on my blog with info on neighborhoods and areas to avoid for safety reasons.

Hi, We usually stay at the Ibis Earl’s Court hotel—the West Brompton tube station is just a 5-minute walk away. We chose it because it’s outside the "congestion charge zone," so there’s no extra fee to pay (we usually drive there). The neighborhood is quiet.
