hi everyone! are there other cruise formats besides the coastal express to see the northern lights in Norway in winter?

Hi Georges,

Great question.

There’s Havila Voyages, which sails the same coastal route from Bergen to Kirkenes as the Coastal Express, but with newer ships.

Hurtigruten also offers the North Cape Line, which is different from the classic Coastal Express.

Hi,

Have you checked out the site/catalog for Latitude Blanche?

Hi! Following up on my message, I booked with Hurtigruten. Departure from Toulouse with an outside Polar cabin.

Awesome! I hope you have a fantastic trip! It’d be great if you could share a little recap when you’re back to inspire the rest of us. 😉

Hello, You can see the northern lights in northern Europe from October to mid-April.

If you're not set on the date or budget, Ponant has options in January, February, and March 2027.

If you don’t want to break the bank and are willing to wait, there’s the "Arctic Lights" cruise from October 4, 2028, for 14 nights at a Halloween promo price of 1909 € instead of 2539 € on the Renaissance.

Hope this helps!

Daniel
