Hi there,

Has anyone here tried GigSky’s “Cruise + Land” eSIM during your cruise?

I’ve seen on various forums that they offer some great deals. For my part, I found a one-month plan (5 GB) for 78 €, whereas MSC charges 290 € on board.

Since we can’t afford to go completely offline (especially my wife—we need to stay in touch for several reasons), we absolutely need an internet plan.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I’ve used GigSky twice on Costa ships: - in Asia for a few weeks - in the Caribbean, including a transatlantic return trip

The connection was really good. I can refer you—use code **GUIV111**; you should get a 25% discount.

Best regards,

Françoise G

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback!

Since the cruise is in November, I’ll probably buy the package in the next few days.

But how exactly does the referral code work? Is it at checkout?

Thanks again for your input!

I don’t remember exactly how the sponsorship worked for me—it was probably just before payment. Great upcoming cruise! Best regards.

No worries! I’ll check it out when I place the order and keep you posted.

Thanks again, and have a great rest of your day!

Hi I used it last year on NCL for my transatlantic crossing. It works really well, but you do need to keep an eye on data usage because it burns through it pretty quickly.

5 GB...it goes really fast 😅

Hi Nat,

Thanks for your message.

You're right, 5 GB doesn’t seem like much, but it’s just for reading emails and checking WhatsApp messages. We won’t be on social media, and based on our calculations, it should be enough.

What reassures me is that you said you’d already used this GigSky plan for your Transat and it worked well.

Like I said, it’s really just for checking emails and WhatsApp, so we’ll see how it goes.

Thanks again and have a great Sunday! !

Yes, You need to check if the ship is on the list. For an NCL cruise, it worked really well. However, for CFC, it didn’t work, but I reported it and was refunded directly. I double-checked for my 13-day transatlantic cruise—I had 5 GB too, but I also had 150 minutes included in the free at-sea plan.

Most importantly, make sure nothing downloads automatically, like updates or photos.

Yes, we double-checked, and our ship is definitely on the list.

I’ll buy the plan two or three days before we leave. We’ll be super careful with updates and all that...

All eSIMs connect to local networks. These are provided by the operators. The best option I know and use myself is eSimXplore.com or Roaming4you.com; these work with VPNs and allow you to connect. Greetings
