nous louerons une voiture
je veux savoir si c est réaliste de faire le tour de la péninsule Ibérique en 3 semaines
nous voulons camper dans une tente au sud et dans des auberges au nord

L'an passé j'ai fait en 3 semaines Espagne et 2 journée portugal.
J'ai le temps de voir :
Madrid (ancien et un tour toute une soirée dans le nouveau donc j'y retournerai!) Toledo, Seville, Barcelone, Grenade, l'Algarve pratiquement toute la côte (en voiture c'est super de s'arrêter dans les criques ou il n'y a pratiquement personne).
Et 1 semaine du côté de Huelva (isla canela) frontière avec l'algarve et là j'ai fait le parc national de donana et el roccio entre autre tout ca était superbe.
Je peux te dire qu'il te manque pour moi au moins 2 semaines pour voir encore tant d'autres choses Lisbonne Porto, Cordoba... puis aussi le nord que je n'ai apperçu que de l'autoroute pays basque, la Corogne, Salamanque. Puis il a aussi tout ce qui est du côté costa del sol que je n'ai pas fait non plus gibraltar, marbella, malaga...
Enfin c'était des vacances génial et j'ai fait 7000 km en tout depuis la Belgique. Et sans hésiter je le referai mais il faut rouler comme les espagnols c'est à dire à fond la caisse...
Donc voila en 3 semaines tu ne feras pas tout mais tu peux déja voir pas mal de choses... Maitenant à toi de faire des choix.
Ta question ne veut rien dire. Tout dépend de ton rythme de visite, de tes attentes, etc.
En termes purement kilométriques, c'est parfaitement faisable ; la péninsule doit faire moins de 1.000 km de côté du nord au sud et d'est en ouest.

En Espagne comme dans tout pays Européen les vitesses sont règlementées. Avez-vous vérifié si ce n’était pas des plaques rouges ?
Pourquoi se dit-on toujours APRES qu'il aurait fallu s'en occuper AVANT ?
Tout est possible 😉 même les visites nocturnes pour en voir encore plus en un minimum de temps et pouvoir dire au retour "... j'ai fait " ... 🤪
Au mois de mars, les grands prix de F1 auront repris donc je pense que Fernando Alonso ne sera pas disponible, par contre c'est un peu le calme pour les pilotes de rallyes, et Fernando Sainz devrait être libre 😏

Je trouve certaines réponses un peu agressives mais bon... je suppose que tu te doutais bien que tu n'allais pas TOUT faire en 3 sem. !!! Malgré cela tu peux qd même voir pas mal de choses et surtout te faire plaisir :D
Petite, j'avais fait un tour de 3 sem en camping-car. Ça donnait à peu près ça : départ des Pyrénées direct vers le nord du Portugal pour dire bonjour à la famille puis la côte portugaise (Coimbra, Nazaré, Lisbonne de ce que je me rappelle...) Algarve (magnifique) et remontée par le milieu de l'Espagne en s'arrêtant à Cordoue, Séville, Tolède... Je précise que le but était bien le Portugal, on peut pas dire qu'on ait fait l'Espagne, on est juste passé par là :D
En tout cas quelque soit ton voyage, il y a tellement de choses à faire que tu ne seras pas déçue ! même si ma préférence va au Portugal :D Pour l'Espagne c'est un peu plus éparpillé: Barcelone, Pyrénées, Pays Basq, Galice et Andalousie d'intéressant ... c'est sur ya moyen de faire du km !!! :D
Les personnes qui te répondent ont voyagé en èté, toi, tu seras en période de sortie d'Hiver sous la tente. Prends en compte les conseils de ta discution sur la température au mois de mars et surtout celle de Patxi 1.
Je pense que tu auras peu de réponses pour ce parcours en cette période.
Perso je te conseille de rester au bord de la Mer où de l'océan mais bien au sud (Andalousie, Algarve)

aller sur la costa del sol, profiter un peu de la plage meme en mars
on est pas trop frileux nous venons d un pays assez froid
qu est qu on devrait surtout ne pas oublier de visiter les must de l espagne
nous aimons beaucoup l histoire, les musées, les plages naturites

Moi je me suis bien amusé et je n'ai pas fait des villes pour dire moi j'y suis allé! j'ai eu le temps de voir pas mal de choses mais je sais que je n'ai absolument pas tout vu.
Et quand je dis à fond la caisse, je fait référence au camion qui te dépasse à 120 m/h et si tu respect les 70km/h tu risque ta vie (et c'était très souvent comme ça!).
Et au fait depuis quand il est interdit d'allé faire un tour en ville le soir au lieu de rester à l'hôtel devant la télé????
Pourquoi il y en a t-il toujours qui disent as tu parlé avec les gens? On dirait que c'est le summum des vacances alors que en Espagne très peu d'espagnol parle autre chose que l'espagnol ( je suis sure que il y en a encore qui vont critiquer ce point :-)) donc même si on fait des efforts très difficile de tenir une conversation!
Franchement je viens de relire les avis et c'est vraiment critiquer pour critiquer mais donner des infos aux autres pour réussir leur vacances ça non. Trop dur certainement.

je suis parti de caen le 08 juillet à 9 h, nous sommes rentrées mercredi 06 aout avont visité le nord de l'espagne par la cote puis le portugal ....j'ai jamais vu de poids lourds me doubler à 120, j'ai fait une moyenne de 80 /85 kms h avec mon ccar et personnes ne m'a rien dit, je ne parle ni esp/ni porguais j'ai pourtant pu avoir des conversations avec c'est gens là en plus j'ai appris plusieurs pharses comme bom-dia à todos...aqui chove..;todos vamos bem-temos...abraça vamos...obrigado ........et aussi une bonne vingtaine en esp .

je suis parti un mois j'ai fait la cote de l'espagne descendu par léon, puebla de sanabria, villamanan, et rentré au portugal à l'ancienne fontière de quintaniha, ou nous avons dormi là, un peu desert comme endroit mais en toute securité devant les anciens batiments de la douane, occupé par des militaires du feu, puis mirandela 1 jour1/2 sur place, villa réal...visite de porto et arret à espina, puis furadouro aveiro figueira da fox, s pedro de moel, nazaré, péniche, lourinha, ericeira, cabo da roca, les arènes de arruda, obido ou nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une soiré médiéval, puis fatima, retour par abrantes, castelo branco, guarda, vilar formoso ( douane, espagne )
pour répondre à ta question, quelle est la route pour arrivé au nord du portugal ! je te répond en ancien routier, de chez toi, fougères, laval, angers, poitiers par montreuil-bellay ( très beau chateau à visité ) loudin, puis angoulème, bordeau centre routier le lac, irun à la hauteur de s sebastian la N1 vitoriaA1, burgos ( sur le retour nous avons été à l'aire de service de miranda de ebro et dormi sur place ), léon N120, ponferrada N12O, sur cette parti 2/3 belle monté et descente frien moteur ou tèlma si tu as ?je sais que non il faut le ccar PL, ourence et vigo ou j'allai vider à l'usine citroen, de la tu descend par la cote via porto et ....... bonne vacance, bon soleil, et plien la vue?
si tu ne veux pas monter trop par le haut il y a aussi par ....burgos, valladolide, zamora, par l'anciene fontière de quintania, bragança (très beau chateau) mirandela, vila réal, porto cela te changera du terrain plat que nous avons ici en normandie !!!
voila, aussi pioche dans le forum pour les visites, nous ont à mis notre nez partout, musée, galeries, lèches vitrines, batiments historiques, surtout les chateaux ( j'aime ) visites des petits recoins souvent très sympa, voila
ah oui, pour le stationnement, partout au portugal, pour l'eau pas de problème, ni pour les eaux noir wc public ou aire de station et toujours avec le sourire, pour l'espagne mème chose sauf le stationnent toujours si possible loing des grandes villes, sur les aire de stations avec resto pour poids lourds, ou quitté la route pour un petit village .

nous ont repart le 01 sept ...italie...embarquement à bari pour patras grèce ont va faire toutes la cote pyrgos, pylos, argos, le pirée, bien sur ATHENES que je connai déja, mais en camion ! puis ont monte jusqu'à thessalonique voir un ami chauffeur PL comme moi en retraite ont reste sur place 10/12 jours visité avec eux la région ensuite ont verra ? .....

j'ai vu ton itinéraire il est pas mal, mème très bien, tu va passer à coté de carcassonne ..il faut que tu passe faire une visite, c'est une belle cité, l'icone D je pense que c'est lourde ta raisons, le E c'est surment le pic de l'europe très jolie, ...... comme tout les endroits du cap finisterre ( cela resemble à la cote sauvage de bretagne ) aussi très jolie pour les yeux et pour les photos une fois à sintra passe voir la pointe cabo da roca .....😎 c'est presque la mème route que j'ai fait sauf que je suis rentré au portugal par l'ancienne fontière de quintaniha...bragança ...mirandela.....et rejoint porto

Si tu dois visiter Madrid aucun problème, par contre si tu dois traverser la Capitale je te propose un autre étinéraire (carte Michelin 576 régional España ).
De Badajoz:
Mérina N430, Embase de Orella( Orella la Vieja, Puebla de Alcoceber, rejoindre la N430 par la BA138) Embase de Garcia Sola( toujours sur la BA 138, Pelone) tu rejoints la N430, Cuidal Real, Manzaneres, Alambra ( tu seras ébloui par ce petit village, je t'en dis pas plus), Las lagunas de Ruidera, Munera, Albacette, Valencia.
Cette région est injustement méconnue, car on la traverse rapidement et on se prive d'un chapelet de merveilles, il faut goûter "le jamon ibérico de cerdo à pattes noires"
Pour aller au Portugal cette année en octobre je ferais du tourisme dans le coin.

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?
- Is the road through the narrow valley of the White Lütschine toward Lauterbrunnen and beyond still worth it in terms of views and scenery?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.
This route means renting a car in Finland and dropping it off in Norway. My initial searches are showing rental rates that are... astronomical—about three times the price compared to returning it at the starting point.

I’m sharing my draft itinerary with you because I just booked our flight tickets, and I feel like it’s quite late in the season. So, I’d like to be sure about my stops before reserving the hotels. I’ll be traveling alone with my two adult children. We want to prioritize outdoor walks, avoid too many indoor visits (both for budget and preference), and not spend too much time on the road.
D1: Arrival at 9 AM in Malaga, day in Malaga and overnight stay
D2: Head straight to Nerja (1-hour drive) and spend the night there
D3: Head straight to Granada (1.5-hour drive), spend the day and night there
D4: Granada. Visit the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces tour at 5 PM) and spend the night
D5: Head to Ronda (2.5-hour drive) and spend the night
D6: White Villages and overnight in Ronda
D7: Head straight to the Costa del Sol (e.g., Estepona), spend the day and night there
D8: Return to Malaga to catch our flight
There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...
