JE suis diplomée d'une maitrise de tourisme et je pars un mois début octobre à Merdia au mexique chez ma cousine. Mais je ne veux pas me tourner les pouces et je voulais savoir si quelqu'un avait des idées pour faire du benevolat ou quelque chose la bas, pas forcément lié au tourisme, histoire que j'enrichisse mon séjour et que j'améliore mon espagnol plus facilement.
Comme ca une fois sur place je verrai si la vie mexicaine me convient et je m'y installerai peut etre...

Ça serait bien que tu trouves ton bénévolat avant de partir. Sinon, c'est mieux que tu travailles. En effet, le bénévolat au Mexique est quasi illégal. C'est que les gens pensent que vous êtres rémunérés, mais que déclarer le bénévolat est une façon d'éviter le permis de travail...
Volunteering in Mexico:
Although it is not widely known, or enforced, it is illegal to volunteer in Mexico. From and official point of view immigration officials are not convinced that you are actually volunteering, but rather receiving payment when working here in Mexico. It is a major cultural difference in the fact that as a culture, Mexicans do not volunteer outside of their jobs. Because of this you are required to apply for a permit though the immigration offices if you would like to volunteer while visiting Mexico. This process is nearly identical as applying for an FM3. If you decide to apply for a volunteer permit we suggest doing so before you arrive. Some non-profits have an arrangement with immigration in regards to people who volunteer for a specific non-profit. One such business is Angel Notion who has been here in Playa del Carmen for years and has had no problems with their volunteers and immigration. Bonne chance!

mon projet est de rencontrer diverses associations socio-culturelles ou liees a l'environnement. mon objectif : decouvrir, apprendre et partager.
j'ai une formation professionnelle d'animateur (BPJEPS), j'ai travaille avec toutes les tranches d'ages, et je souhaite partager mon experience et mes techniques d'animation aupres des enfants et des jeunes avec la population locale.
je me suis fixe une longue periode afin de pouvoir rencontrer plusieurs associations et de pouvoir m'investir sur des projets a moyen terme.
cependant, j'ai un budget tres serre, et je recherche donc des associations ayant la possibilite de me loger (j'ai une tente si besoin est) et de m'offrir le couvert. je ne demande rien d'autre, seulement de ne pas trop depenser sur place afin de tenir le plus longtemps possible.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
