Prendre une assurance n'est pas obligatoire mais c'est cependant vivement conseillé. Les tuiles n'arrivent pas qu'aux autres !
Il y a une tonne d'assurances sur le net ( ISIS, ISIC, AVI, AXA, worldnomads, magellan, ASFE...), ISIS fait partie des moins chères car elle est avec franchise.
Il vaut lieux prévenir que guérir, une fois le pépin arrivé, il ne restera que vos larmes pour pleurer.

Certaine assurance on une franchise c'est à dire qu' a partir du moment ou tu fais appel à eux tu paye une certaine somme.

Si tu es souvent malade et que tu as besoin d'aller chez le médecin, attention à certaines assurances ( citées plus haut ) qui ne te couvriront pas à hauteur de la consultation + pharmacie. Ce sera donc pour ta poche.

apres reflexion je change de carte visa passant de la simple a la Premier avant d'acheter mon billet d'avion ...
la Premier presente pas mal d'avantages apparement ( assurance retard/annulation/baggages /rapatriement/asssistance ..... services géres par Europ assistance ....) ....
la carte est plus chere ms en faisant les comptes il n'y pas photo pour un long trip ....
la couverture a condition d'avoir acheté le séjour/vol avec la carte porte sur 90 jours ....et c'est deja 150 euros envriron d'economiser pour nous . vu qu'on part 5 mois, il nous suffiera de contracter une asssistance genre AVI pour les 2 mois restants ....
la Premier est disponible ds les banques mais aussi en grande surface pour bcp moins cher mais est ce fiable ? a voir....
Parait aussi qu'on peut etre couverts par l'assurance habitation ou voiture ... a voir aussi ....
quelle que soit l'option choisie, mieux vaut tout anticiper avant, a savoir contacter directement l'assistance en posant des questions comme si on était en situation galére ....car la procédure n'est pas toujours simple et comme toujours avec toutes les assurances on est vite hors closes....et ca peut couter cher ou etre vraiment embétant au bout du monde ....

C'est vrai la carte est plus chère mais elle est vite amortie.
L'exemple de la location de voitures est pour moi le plus parlant ( attention tout de même, dans certains pays comme les USA, elle ne couvre pas tous les risques ).
En plus, elle assure un deuxième conducteur, à condition qu'il soit mis sur le contrat du loueur.
Quand on voit les tarifs des locations assurances comprises, on n'hésite plus vraiment...
Certaines assurances multirisques habitation assurent pour les longs séjours à l'étranger mais pas toutes, faut voir avec sa compagnie pour ça.

et voila mon probleme, on a acheté les billets d avion ya deja 1 mois avec la carte visa premier de mon copain dc lui est bien assuré mais moi je pense pas!!!! Pour le moment g un visa normale, si je la change je pense pas que je serais assurée dc est ce que ca vaut le coup qd meme??? a++

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
