Je souhaite m'engager en tant que bénévole dans l'un des états américains du golfe du Mexique (Louisiane, Mississippi, Alabama, FL, etc ..) pour participer aux travaux de réparation des dégâts causés par la marée noire BP. Il peut s'agir de travaux de nettoyage des plages souillées, d'aide à la préservation de la faune et de la flore ("nettoyage" de pélicans par exemple..), ou autres types d'actions.
Quelqu'un connaîtrait-il les noms d'organismes ou d'associations qui proposeraient à de jeunes internationaux comme moi de participer à de tels projets (pour une durée allant de 2 à 4 semaines)?
Evidemment ce projet (avion + logement + nourriture, et autres living expenses) est assez onéreux, donc idéalement, ces associations/organismes proposeraient à leurs bénévoles un logement voire le couvert..

Je recherche la même chose que vous. Mais j'ai bien des difficultés à trouver une organisation qui donne des informations en français ! Je ne suis pas très douée pour la lecture en anglais, même si je me débrouille à l'oral !

En cherchant sur le net je suis tombée sur des sites américains de "volontaires" et qui aident pour cette catastrophe/

il y a également idealist.org et http://www.volunteermatch.org/ qui sont des sites sur lesquels ont trouvent pleins d'annonces pour du bénévolat principalement aux Etats Unis.
L'année dernière quand j'en cherchais une j'ai eu l'impression que la plupart du temps ils cherchent des américains.
Et les quelques uns qui sont prêts à travailler avec des étrangers n'ont rien à vous proposez pour vous loger et préfèrent vous rencontrer avant de vous proposer quelque chose.
D'un côté ça parait logique qu'ils souhaitent nous connaitre un peu pour savoir ce qui pourrait nous correspondre mais de l'autre ça peut être contraignant pour nous car du coup on est sûr de rien quand on part car il se peut très bien qu'une fois sur place ils ne vous acceptent pas pour x ou y raisons.
Sinon, il existe des organismes qui acceptent les étrangers sans véritable conditions particulières mais c'est moyennant finance. Je trouve que c'est un peu exagérer de demander à des bénévoles de payer pour l'être mais bon après chacun ses choix.
En tout cas, si vous arrivez à trouver une association qui accepte les étrangers et avec qui ça se passe bien, je suis intéressée pour avoir l'info.
je relance ce sujet : je voudrais partir faire du bénévolat pour un mois à la Nouvelle Orléans; est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont finalement trouvé des assoc avec qui partir? et pour un mois de bénévolat est-ce qu'il y a besoin d'un visa particulier ou on peut partir avec un passeport touriste?
My name is Valerie and I live in France. I’m a street artist—I perform street shows that blend circus and clowning. I also work as a clown in hospitals and retirement homes in France.
I’m planning to spend two months in Morocco from January 19, 2027, to March 13, 2027. I’ll be traveling in a truck, so I’ll be mobile.
I’d love to offer my time as a volunteer to perform a show that’s suitable for all audiences (kids and adults) in village squares. I’d also like to visit hospitals and orphanages as a clown.
My route will start in Nador, then head down to Merzouga, before making my way to the coast either above or below Agadir. Toward the end of my trip, I’ll return to Zagora and Merzouga before leaving from either Nador or Tangier.
I already have contacts in Merzouga and Zagora. Next, I’d like to head toward the coast above or below Agadir, and I’m looking for contacts (associations, orphanages, hospitals) in that area or along my route.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
