Nous cherchons donc des idées de quartier ou prospecter.
Nous cherchons sur immostreet.ch mais pas toujours facile de savoir si le quartier est/ou n'est pas facile d'accès depuis l'hôpital.
Question subsidiaire 😎 : est-ce utopique de vouloir déménager son super lit king size (2m x 2m) au vue de la taille des apparts en Suisse... avis aux habitants 🤪

La ville de Lausanne est très bien équipé au niveau des transports public, et vu que le CHUV est relativement bien centré, le quartier que vous choisirez en habitant Lausanne sera rapidement accessible.
Par contre, il ne faut pas espérer pouvoir trouver un appartement sans être sur place, la crise du logement est très présent dans cette ville et le marché très rapide. Un appartement reste rarement disponible plus de 24h!!
Pour ma part, j'ai un lit king size, après ca dépendra de votre budget et de la taille de votre appartement. Mais ne serait-il pas plus simple d'en acheter un ici??

Un logement temporaire?? Ca ne résout pas le problème, il faut le trouver l''appartement disponible, et ce n'est pas chose facile à Lausanne même quand on est sur place.

Tape sous-location lausanne dans Google, tu trouveras différents sites de petites annonces suisses, genre www.anibis.ch
Sinon venir seul avant et se donner 10 jours pour trouver un appartement, avant de débarquer avec toute la famille? Malheureusement, vous n'aurez pas le luxe de pouvoir être exigeant, et devrez aussi considérer habiter aux alentours de Lausanne (Prilly - Pully - Ecublens, etc...)
Personne dans vos futurs collègues aux CHUV ne peuvent vous donner un coup de main??
Effectivement c'est assez dur de trouver des apparts ici...
Pour du temporaire, tu as aussi les B&B qui peuvent dépanner. iste ici: www.bnb.ch
Tout ce qui se trouve près du M2 (ligne de métro) te permettra d'être au CHUV en quelques minutes. Tu peux aussi regarder du côté d'Epalinges (nord de lausanne) car le M2 s'y arrête. Après tout dépend quel type d'appartement tu recherches et quel type de quartier ainsi que du budget! Hésite pas à me contacter si tu le souhaites.
Dur... oui et c'est rien de le dire ! Mais nous avons quelques pistes pour des meublés, au moins pour le début. Il nous faudra encore croiser les doigts pour trouver enfn un appart une fois sur place. Pour le moment, nous avons un engagement sur un mois !
Pour Épalinges, je n'y avais pas pensé donc je rajoute cela dans ma liste.
Pour le moment c'est surtout la disponibilité qui guide le choix de l'appart. Nous pouvons difficilement faire les fines bouches même si nous concentrons nos recherches en fonction des transports en commun et du CHUV.
Et on veut prendre le plumard avec ça... Sur le dos ? Par cargo à 5500E ?

Les gérance ne vont pas vous louer un appart sans contrat de travail sérieux. Quitte à choisir, elles vont opter pour des permis d'établissement à long terme et européens. Trouver un job sur place, c'est pas gagné non plus en tant que non-Européen.
Pour un mois, optez pour un B&B négocié par téléphone si vous ne connaissez personne sur place.
1) ayez toutes les infos en main avant d'emettre des opinions aussi tranchées
2) nous avions au final un bail meublé de 2 mois (celui d'un mois étant tombé à l'eau pour diverses raisons)
3) ma femme avait un contrat
4) Nous avons trouvé un logement au bout de 3 semaines et je dirais une dizaine (15 max à mon avis) de visite d'appart. Et nous avons déposé un seul dossier... comme quoi nous avions bien ciblé notre choix
5) nous avons même réussi à trouver une place en garderie... cher, mais nécessaire. Nous verrons pour du mieux dans les mois à venir
6) à priori vous ne connaissez pas le cout ni les aléas d'un déménagement outre atlantique. 5500 euro... vous etes loin du compte, ce qui pouvait rendre intéressant de prendre notre matelas. Au final, nous avons choisi une option plus simple, et bien moins cher dans notre cas... moving sale et air cargo 😎

Le site de petites annonces en Suisse romande est majoritairement : anibis.ch
Il vous faut un contrat de travail pour conclure un bail avec une gérance. En tant qu'Européen, pour l'instant, pas de problème d'installation.
Pour la garderie, le CHUV en a une.
La commune de Lausanne a préféré nantir ses employés qui n'avaient rien demandé d'un congé paternité au lieu de faire des crèches pour les Lausannois... 40% des Lausannois ne paient pas d'impôt et la coke est livrable à domicile ou disponible dans tout le centre-ville, à foison. Bienvenue...

Nous avons eu les 2 types de garderie... privée et publique. pas de différence pour nous au niveau tarif compte tenu de nos salaires. on se fait vider les poches dans les 2 cas. Et l'on comprend mieux pourquoi autant de femmes ne travaillent pas ou ne veulent plus travailler.
Je doute que le marché immobilier ce soit calmer. Une chose est sur, à distance vous n'aurez rien.
Si vous rejoignez le CHUV demandez à votre boss une lettre... ca aide ;-) Nous en avons fait l'expérience. Car outre le contrat, on vous demandera souvent de justifier de plus de 3 mois d'expérience (ie période d'essai validée).
Pour la garderie du CHUV, je me demand toujours à qui elle sert ! aux admin sans doute. les horaires n'ont rien d'adaptés pour les infirmièr(e)s qui sont en grande majorité sur des shift de 12 heures.

Pour le quartier, j'avais cherché a chailly ou proche ligne M2 mais finalement nous avons trouvé ailleurs a Lausanne. C'est une ville assez petite mais avec bcp de dénivelés donc je mets 20 min a pied mais ça grimpe.
Pour le mode de garde, nous avons eu une place a temps partiel a Carambole, une des crèches subventionnées par le chuv, mais ça a été une chance énorme car ce n'est vraiment pas évident. Nous complétons avec une nourrice a domicile.
La crèche n'est pas tout près du chuv mais avec le métro ça se fait en 15 min. Les crèches toutes proches du Chuv sont très difficiles a obtenir.
