J'ai des amis qui sont partis vivre là bas il y a 1 mois. Ils ont une chouette villa au bord de la plage...Alors comment résister à l'idée d'aller leur rendre visite sous le soleil exactement, dites-moi ?!?!? 😇

J'arrive donc à Tunis le 08 et mes amis sont à Nabeul à 80KM de là si je ne m'abuse. Comme ils bossent, je vais me débrouiller pour aller les rejoindre de Tunis à Nabeul:
- -> Je pensais prendre le train. La gare est-elle située loin de l'aéroport. Pouvez-vous me dire environ le prix de la course "aéroport-gare". Où/comment puis-je trouver les horaires des trains, etc.
- -> A Nabeul même, qu'est-ce qu'il y a de chouette à visiter, découvrir, d'insolite, tout ce que vous pourrez me donner comme renseignements est welcomed!!
- -> Dans les environs de Nabeul, j'ai déjà jeter un coup d'oeil dans le Lonely Planète mais si vous avez des bons plans qui sortent "surtout" des sentiers battus et des trucs touristiques bateaux habituels et bien idem...Lâchez tout !!! 😉😉😉😉
- -> Et enfin, je devrai passer une nuit avant mon départ qui se fait tôt (7H du mat') à Tunis, de préférence pas trop loin de l'aéroport, donc si vous avez une adresse pas cher....Je m'en fiche du standing ou plutôt oui, je recherche qqch qui soit le moins cher possible car c'est juste pour 1 nuit et je sens que je vais la passer en grande partie dehors. C'est juste pour déposer bagages et dormir 3-4h donc....Bienvenue aux filons pas cherrrrrrs

Quelques conseils.
Sachez que vous arrivée le jour de la fin du ramadhan, il s'agit d'une période de fête et de retour des non tunisois chez eux. J'imagine le train archicomble. Train tunis nabeul 14h 18 et 15 h 10, vérifier avec la sncft.
Prix taxi pas cher suivre le compteur , course moyenne de 3 dinars .
Pour les hôtels tout dépend : centre ville ou banlieu.
Par ailleus taxi touristique pour nabeul, 60 d ou plus.
Pour les hôtels il y a beaucoup d'agence de voyage tunisienne sur le net, qui propose actuellement beaucoup d'offre, je vous recommande cela.

Pour aller de Tunis à Nabeul , faire comme les locaux et demander au taxi jaune d 'aller à Bab Alioua prendre les bus climatisé . Trajet d une heure à peu pres et departs tre fréquents plu que l train pourri qui va à la gare terminus de nabeul
Nabeul ? Rien à voir , surtout pas les magasins de poteries ou le marché au chameau du vendredu pas de chameau et réservé aux gros cons de touristes ) ? Va visiter Korba ou Dar Chaabane si tu veux voir une vraie ville arable avec que des mecs le soir aux terasses de café . Couleur locale
Pousses à Hamammet car onze km par la route touristique mais vraiment , rien de rien à voir dans cette zone à part plages , boites et yasmine hammamet pour tourisme de masse . Preferable qu etu remontes vers la pointe du Cap Bon poour trouver un peu d'authentciité mais la Tunsie de Ben Avi , enfin de leila la coiffeuse au pouvoir , a vendu son ame au tourisme et s est perdue
C'est le genre d'infos que je veux recevoir...Je voyage en sac à dos et je ne vais jamais dans les hotels ou alors chez l'habitant...Bref, je voyage à moindre coût et suis plutôt curieuse de rencontrer les gens tels qu'ils sont plutôt que de me retrouver dans les clubs All In et autres pièges à touristes...Bien que j'en sois une mais bon....Mes priorités sont placées ailleurs que plage et dancings etc. Figures-toi que j'avais déjà en tête de remonter au Nord vers Cap Bon, il y a l'air d'y avoir des chouettes endroits un peu plus authentiques. D'après tout ce que je lis, le bord de côte a été dans ce coin un peu moins pris d'assaut par les horribles architectures d'hotel...
Tu aurais peut-être des renseignements plus précis à me donner??
Et à Tunis, en dehors des trucs "bateaux" qu'on recommande tout le temps de visiter, tu peux me conseiller des chouettes endroits?? Juste pour flâner, discuter avec les tunisien(ne)s, manger des plats typiques, aller dans un hammam local authentique, ...

Je pars loger chez des amis belges qui sont partis s'installer à Nabeul pour le boulot donc je compte circuler surtout autour de Nabeul et puis Tunis et environs que je compte visiter à mon arrivée ou juste avant mon départ. Sauf que je crois que la fin de la fête du Ramadan va tomber le lendemain ou surlendemain de mon arrivée, donc c'est peut-être préférable que je découvre Tunis plutôt à la fin de mon séjour. J ai fait toute la Tunisie sac à dois et ai du y a ler à peu pres soixante fois dans ma vie . Meme si je coinsidere que la pays a vendu son ame aux touristes , il presente , notamment dans l interieur , quelques beaux coins encore
Je te conseille de prendre petit taxi )àla sortie du terminal 2 où tu vas arrivert et rejoindre Nabeul par la gare routiere de bab Alioua où tu trouvera des bus toutes les hrs ) pour à peine quatre cinards . ieux que les deux trains debut année soixante qui vont de Tunis à Nabeul en une heure trente . Le bus te laisse à Nabeul devant la poste avenue Bourguiba dc en plein centre
Va manger un millefeulle chez Salem , les meilleurs de la ville avec Boga cdre
Rien de special sur Nabeul mais prends direction Korba , Khelibia et son chateau ( tres bon restaurnat hyper connu dans les rochers ), El harouria et ses grottes ( un projet de visite devait etre mis en place mais je ne sais plus où cela en est ) , Tu peux redescendre par le champ d'éoliennes , voir Soliman et le golfe de Tunis et revenir via l interieur et Grombalia
Pour Tunis , je te donnerai tes adresses mais ne te fies pas au Montmartre tunisois de Sidi Boui Said . A part le cote pittoresque et le café des nattes chanté par Maurice benguigui , tout est fait pour te vendre des souvenirs , suvent ade in China ....
Prends un verre ) Tunis pas tres loin du consulat de France , le dernier café à ta gauche sous les arcades avant d entrer au souk . Tres bon thé et jus de fraise . Juste en face , apres vendeurs de dragées , restau typique sympa où tu pourra gouter lablabi , c'est à dire le plat natinal de soupe de pois chiches , thon , oeuf et harissa ( prix deux dianrds environ )
* *Tu trouvera des bars symps sur l'avenue Bourguiba , notamment juste à coté du théatre mais je te conseile ed 'aller aussi sur El Menzah et la Manouba , quartiers étudiants où àa vouge

Tu peux prendre le taxi à bab aliua, ensuite le bus a nabeul.je te conseille El haouaria, korba, kelibia, et kerkaouan(site archéologique) de Carthage. c'est une occasion de visiter les champs de tomate de piments etc.....si tu peux racontes nous ton séjour, et finalement tes impressions
Si tu as le temps je te conseille d'aller surtout dans le désert , enfin pour moi c'est bien mieux que le reste de la Tunisie où les plages sont pas ce qu'il y a de mieux!(que je trouve moins intéressante que l'Algérie ou le Maroc) Tozeur Nefta et les oasis de montagne Chebika Tamerza etc.. et en particulier Ksar Ghilane avec ses dune de sable ..mais c'est loin!

My plan is roughly to do a road trip loop from Rabat back to Rabat, passing through Asilah, Tangier, Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Akchour, Fès, Meknès, and Volubilis.
That’s a lot of cities.
Probably a bit too many for our taste—we usually prefer more isolated spots...

Then, when I mentioned I wanted to stay for two or three weeks—maybe even a month—explaining that my trip wouldn’t be strictly touristy but more of a pilgrimage to the places of my childhood, and that it would likely be a very emotional journey, I expected a positive and warm reaction to my approach. Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...
Anyone here who can share their experience of returning? I specified “recently” because it seems that right now, diplomatic relations between the two governments are extremely tense, not to say hostile... even if Macron claims otherwise...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?
- Is this document mandatory for a hotel to rent a room?
- Is it checked during inspections?
- Is a hotel booking (e.g., via Booking.com) sufficient for the visa?
- If so, does it need to be paid in advance?
I plan to visit several cities and do one or more treks with a guide or agency.

I’m leaving for Tunisia in five weeks for a full 15-day trip. I’ll be arriving in Monastir and departing from there as well.
I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

Even though I come to Morocco four times a year, it’s been a long time since I’ve made the trip by car. I need to refresh my knowledge! I’ll be traveling in early October. I have a car that’s about 20 years old. The plan is to cross via Algeciras/Ceuta.

Day 4-5-6: Chefchaouen and a day hike in the Rif Mountains
Day 6-7: Discover the city of Fes (I’ve heard so many great things!!)
Day 8: Stop in Meknes and possibly visit the historic site of Volubilis
Day 9-10: Rabat (I’ve heard mixed things... some good, some bad)
After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address
AND a password (with confirmation). Is this normal?

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

I’m planning my next trip outside Europe for next year, but unfortunately, I don’t have a choice with the dates—it’s late June to early July. Last year, I went to Japan for three weeks, and it was constantly 36-37°C with over 90% humidity. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible either.
For Egypt, I know it’s a period to avoid if possible, but I’m thinking that by the sea, it might be manageable. Otherwise, I’ll consider another destination.

Day 5: Hurghada, then drive to Luxor in the early afternoon
Day 6: Luxor
Day 7: Luxor, then drive back to Hurghada in the late afternoon

For the Hurghada trip, either rent a car or—easier—a private car/van.
Is it worth adding an extra day in Luxor?
