Afin de pouvoir te répondre au mieux, peux-tu nous dire ce que tu recherches comme travail ? Et également quel est ton niveau d'anglais ? Car je pense que ce sont les deux éléments principaux qui influencent tes recherches.
Si c'est simplement des petits boulots, tu en trouveras. Mais il faut avouer qu'à cette période de l'année, ce n'est pas facile à Sydney. En décembre-janvier, les étudiants australiens sont en vacances, donc tu te retrouves en concurrence avec eux ! Et puis, je crois que beaucoup de backpackers viennent à Sydney pour les fêtes de fin d'année.
Côté méthodes de recherche :
- déposer des CV directement dans les magasins, les restos, ...
- chercher sur Gumtree ! C'est un des meilleurs moyen !
- Travellers At Work. L'adhésion coûte $69 pour 6 mois. Cela te permet de pouvoir répondre aux annonces et c'est valable dans toute l'Australie. Sur place tu as aussi un accès à internet.
- le bouche à oreille tout simplement.
- les agences d'intérim : je te les déconseille, pas très utile selon les conseils que l'on m'a donné.
Moi au bout de 2 semaines de recherches j'ai fini par avoir des réponses. Par Gumtree, j'ai trouvé en tant que fundraiser pour les associations. C'est un job pas trop difficile à trouver et surtout accessible pour les backpackers. Si cela t'intéresse je peux te donner les coordonnées de là où je bosse en MP.
Si vraiment tu ne trouves pas de petits boulots à Sydney, je te conseille d'aller faire du fruitpicking. Je n'ai pas encore testé (cela fait seulement un mois que je suis là) mais j'ai des amis français qui en ont trouvé très facilement. Pour cela, je te conseille ce site , tu y trouveras notamment le numéro gratuit et le guide pour savoir où aller.

Le travail de fundraiser consiste à récolter des fonds pour les associations. Donc, tu es dans la rue : le but est d'arrêter le plus de gens possible et les convaincre de faire un don. L'avantage, c'est que c'est un travail qui se trouve facilement. Les inconvénients : tu es debout toute la journée et c'est assez dur de récolter des signatures pour les dons.
Mon niveau d'anglais est moyen. Mais ça me suffit pour faire mon discours aux gens.
Pour aller boire un verre, c'est gentil, mais je quitte Sydney dans quelques jours pour aller à Melbourne ! 😉

je viens juste de sortir d'une agence (l'agence Nathan) qui m'a dit de revenir en janvier, que c'était tres calme ...
pour ce qui est des cours je peux t'aider, moi je vais à l'international House 203 claerence street pour 50$ le mois, tu suis des cours 2h par jour du lundi au vendredi.
Si le prix est si dérisoire, c'est parce que c'est une école qui forme les profs, et les profs se forment en te donnant cours, donc étant évalué ils sont très motivé.
J'ai lu vos échanges qui sont très intéressent. Je suis également en recherche d'emploi sur sydney et mon niveau d'anglais et plutôt médiocre. Mais a Sydney sans travailler ce n'est pas possible c'est vraiment trop cher!! After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
