je monte un projet de partenariat avec une ONG cambodgienne qui gère des centres de soutien scolaire et d'animation dans la province de Battambang.nous sommes à la recherche de jouets pour les enfants, nous les emporterions avec nous cet été.donc si vous avez de vieux jouets encore en etat, nous erions heureux de les collecter.

ça, c'est un truc que je ne comprends pas bien.
Je m'explique: emporter des jouets avec vous, c'est volumineux, parfois lourd...et souvent pas neuf puisque donnés.CQFD
Alors que les acheter sur place ou dans un pays voisin (Thailande, Vietnam..) vous reviendra tellement moins cher et surtout vous permettra d'emporter d'autres bagages peut-être plus utiles...
J'avais fait ça en 1991 en emportant cahiers et crayons pour une école de Huê au centre du Vietnam et m'étais aperçu que j'aurais pu les acheter sur place pour 50 fois moins cher qu'en France.
En gros, je m'étais fait "chier" avec 52 kg de bagages!(j'avais une autorisation de dépassement de poids chez Air France).
Les ONG ou assoc qui aident des écoles ou des orphelinats n'ont besoin que d'une chose: de l'argent.
Et c'est effectivement beaucoup mieux de l'apporter soi même afin d'être sûr qu'il sera entièrement dépensé sur place et pas en inutiles frais de gestion ou dans l'achat d'un super 4X4 flambant neuf qui ne servira qu'à frimer.

Je trouve très admirable de faire une collecte de ce genre, mais je dois dire que hoangman n'a pas tort! Il a de plus une expérience à l'appui... En achetant les jouets là-bas, vous feriez marcher l'économie du pays par la même occasion.
Au cas où, je me propose avec des amis pour vous venir en aide si besoin est au Cambodge afin d'aider dans le soutien scolaire, les animations... nous sommes très dynamiques!

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
