Je suis toute nouvelle sur ce forum, malgré le fait que je lisais déjà certains sujets qui m'intéressaient, sans être inscrite.
J'ai une question qui se pose dans ma tête 😠, depuis quelques temps & pourtant j'essaie de trouver réponses à ma question, mais rien n'y fait malgré les anciens posts des voyageurs qui se sont déjà posées la question.
Je souhaiterai partir l'année prochaine, vers septembre 2013, pour 6 mois, pour apprendre l'anglais avec mon ami. 3 mois de cours + 3 mois de JOB en famille d'accueil.
Alors le Canada (Vancouver) ou l'Australie pour vivre 6 mois ?
Ce qui me freine pour l'Australie, c'est que sa m'a l'air tellement loin, tellement différent d'où je vis enfin je sais pas ! et je ne veux avoir à faire à des bêtes étranges quotidiennement enfin j'espère que vous me comprendrez ! Je ne connais pas du tout, quelles villes choisir là-bas si vous me conseillez l'Australie?
Les deux seront bien.
Les deux offrent des WHV (visa travail-vacances)
De septembre à mars, à Vancouver ce sera l'hiver, à Sydney (ou Melbourne ou Adélaïde ce sera l'été). Et les bêbêtes que tu pourrais craindre ne s'aventurent guère en ville.
Il n'est pas sûr que culturellement pour une parisienne le dépaysement soit plus grand en Australie qu'à Vancouver.

pour le VISA par exemple pour le Canada, je peux essayer de l'avoir en fin d'année ou pas ? même si c'est pour dans un an....
Vu que celui-ci a une durée de 12 mois, je pense que c'est lorsque j'entre dans le pays, que le VISA commence à se décompter non (pas lorsque je sais que je suis acceptée) ??!
Je pense que pour un premier grand voyage, je choisirai le Canada ! et par la suite l'Australie aussi, à faire, sûre & certaine mais pas toute de suite !!
Je n'ai plus vraiment l'age pour bénéficier des WHV ou des PVT (mais je me débrouille autrement pour voyager au Canada et en Australie😉), tu devrais trouver des réponses, y compris aux questions ... que tu ne te poses pas encore sur ces sites:

On m'a dit tellement de bien du Canada qui est difficile d'en partir, surtout pour un français, je suis pas sur que ce sera pareil de l'Australie.
Ceci est sans doute plus vrai pour ceux qui se rendent au Québec qu'en British Columbia.
C'est vraiment dure de choisir pour moi, c'était le Canada (j'ai toujours voulu y aller) mais l'Australie sa a l'air tellement beau (un rêve inimaginable pour moi)!
Moi je déteste les moustiques, et je sens que si je vais à Brisbane ou Sydney, il y en aura plein non?
Y a trop de bêtes là-bas en Australie, j'irai sûrement, mais peut-être pour des vacances, plus Vancouver pour 6 mois ...

Je viens d'acheter l'Express, hors-série Juillet-Août 2012 sur le Canada, je commence à le lire, et c'est sur le Québec où on dirait que pour les Français, cela a l'air super mais moi je pense aller au Canada, aller à Vancouver. Donc soit Vancouver ou Sydney/Brisbane !!!!! 🏴☠️🤪
Nolwenn, si cette question des moustiques est quasi-phobique, sache qu'à ta période de voyage ce sera l'été en Australie et il y aura des mosquitos. Et s'il n'y avait qu'eux! J'ai une photo sur une plage du nord (que je ne publierais pas😉) le dos entièrement couvert par plusieurs centaines d'une saloperie d'espèce de mouche qui mord. C'est très stimulant!
Mieux vaut aller à Vancouver d'octobre à mars et aller en Australie pendant l'hiver austral.

Dans l'hémisphère sud les saisons sont strictement inversées par rapport à celles de l'hémisphère nord.
L'Australie est immense et je parle là de l'Australie du sud.
On dit du climat du sud-est de l'Australie qu'il est "méditerranéen"
Au nord, les saisons sont moins marquées.
Oui je suis passé à Vancouver en octobre 2009.
Je n'aime guère les villes mais ma co-voyageuse a beaucoup aimé.
Quelques lignes de mes notes:
Bien avant d’arriver à Vancouver, Loute Ravie (ma co) avait identifié deux quartiers à ne pas manquer; le premier au sud, ancienne zone d’entrepôts investie par les artistes, le second au nord, dans ce qui reste de la ville ancienne, infesté de galeristes et d’œuvres des aborigènes locaux, à savoir les Indiens.
Ours Etonné (ouam, donc) découvrait une forêt de buildings sur un confetti et s’entendait dire par une employée de fast food suintante qu’ici on se préoccupe de santé et qu’en conséquence il est illégal de fumer dans les bâtiments mais aussi à moins de quinze mètres de la porte desdits bâtiments.
L’exploration sous la pluie du seul camping de la ville, idéalement situé sous un échangeur autoroutier, rabattit les deux vers une tanière en dur du centre ville.
Vancouver est régulièrement en tête des villes où "il fait bon vivre" au monde. Elle vient d'être dépassée par ... Melbourne en Australie: tu as bon goût toi!😉

Tu as aussi un petit air de Janis Joplin (prend le comme un compliment) avant qu'elle soit connue et n'abuse des bonnes choses.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
