Nous n'aurons malheureusement pas la possibilité de louer de voiture car j'ai perdu mon permis et il n'a pas été refait avant (à moins qu'une photocopie de l'ancien soit suffisante), et voulons savoir si le programme suivant était réaliste et/ou optimisé :

Voilà, comme vous pouvez le voir nous nous interrogeons principalement sur la faisabilité des excursions en transports et combien de temps serait nécessaire pour chacune. Nous n'aimons pas trop faire des excursions guidées, et ne pouvant pas louer de véhicule, cela complique pas mal notre voyage. N'hésitez pas à envoyer vos commentaires sur cet itiniréraire.
Voilà mes suggestions :
Supprimer la vallée de l'Ourika, c'est ce que vont voir les gens qui restent en séjour à Marrakech. C'est l'excursion la plus proche de Marrakech.
Vous, vous verrez plus de choses en allant jusqu'au désert.
Ensuite garder la visite de Marrakech pour la fin des vacances.
Et puis encore. Pourquoi ne pas faire le copilote et laisser votre femme conduire.
Concernant la photocopie du permis, il faudrait poser la question au loueur.
Ouarzazate, pas grand chose à voir.Autant aller directement à Skoura.
Aït Benhadou, soit vous le faites en allant, soit au retour et vous y passez la nuit, c'est mieux que de dormir en ville à Ouarzazate.
Faisabilité des excursions.
Aït Benhadou , il faut faire un crochet, ce n'est pas sur l'axe principal. Le bus vous laisse au carrefour et vous prenez un taxi pour la suite.
Même chose pour la vallée des roses, le bus vous laisse à El Kelaa M Gouna et ensuite taxi.
Skoura en bus, c'est facile.
Merzouga, même chose.
Les gorges du Dadès, en taxi mais pas en bus.

si j'étais vous, je ferais un petit séjour à Marrakech en début ou fin de séjour, et une petite itinérance vers Merzouga.
Vous avez le temps pour faire une belle virée et sur votre route visiter les lieux où vous vouliez faire une balade-journée. (à part Ourika)
@ Cambrousse : Nous comptons partir de Marrakech après le 3e jour pour aller vers Merzouga en s'arrêtant aux différents lieux que j'ai cité (je ne sais pas si c'était très clair), plutôt que faire des sauts de puce autour de Marrakech. En tout cas, je note que du coup nous nous arrêterons peut-être pour dormir dans les villes suivantes :

Ok. Je n avais pas bien compris le deroule du projet.
J ai fait ce parcours en bus il y a quelques annees, y a pas de souci.
Pour les bus tu as la ctm ou supratours , qui se valent, et les petites compagnies.
Une Astuce pour avoir les bonnes places ds le bus pour les paysages et photos... Tu reserves tt de suite en arrivant a marrakech et tu demandes les places 1, 2 ,3, 4; les 4 suivantes c est bien aussi.
Comme ca c est encore plus cool tu verras.
Bon c est valable pour partir. Apres faut reserver des qu on arrive qq part.
Les hotels ou auberge .. Moi je regarde sur le routard et je telephone la veille pour le lendemain, voir le matin pour le soir. Aucun souci jamais.
Marrakech pour la fin je ferais ca aussi... Ca permet d avoir le temps d ajuster le timing de l itinerance sans souci.. Enfin de mon avis... 🙂

Comme conseillé précédemment je zapperais la vallée de l'Ourika . Quand tu vas traverser l'Atlas tu vas voir des paysages superbes, même chose dans le Dadès où dans la vallée des roses. J'en reviens, je suis rentré hier. C'est la saison des roses.
Les palmiers étaient en fleurs dans la palmeraie de Skoura, c'était beau. Mohamed nous a bien montré les palmiers mâles et les palmiers femelles. On a aussi marché jusqu'aux sources qui alimentent les villages de la palmeraie en haut.Les grenadiers commençaient à fleurir aussi. Que du beau. Une bonne adresse, la kasbah La palmeraie.
On est allé se baigner à l'oasis de Sidi Flah. Magnifique.
A Aït Benhadou, on peut dormir. Une bonne petite adresse, Tiguami Khadija, en plein coeur du village.
Plutôt que de dormir à Boumalne qui n'a pas grand charme, j'irais dans la vallée du Dadès, c'est plus beau. Deux adresses au choix: Aït Arbi ou auberge Mirguine.
Enfin, Marrakech, j'aime bien y revenir 2 ou 3 jours avant de repartir. Je n'aime pas rentrer à Marrakech au dernier moment.

La vallée de l'Ourika n'est surtout pas indispensable. Mieux vaut prendre une journée supplémentaire pour aller sur la route du désert.
Garder Marrakech pour la fin pour être tranquille les 2 derniers jours avant de repartir. De plus, si on achète quelques souvenirs, on n'a pas à les trimballer pendant tout le circuit, à plus forte raison quand on est en bus.
Et bien sûr qu'on peut dormir à Aït Benhadou, c'est même très agréable de profiter de ce site exceptionnel quand tous les cars de touristes sont répartis.

I’ve read through the various discussions about the country, but I’m still a bit unsure🤪: for currency exchange, I saw on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that withdrawing currency with a bank card from ATMs is limited to 200 TND per week. There are four of us traveling by car, so that might be a bit tight! And it’s a hassle to carry a lot of cash, even if I’m not being paranoid! What do you all recommend?

Then, when I mentioned I wanted to stay for two or three weeks—maybe even a month—explaining that my trip wouldn’t be strictly touristy but more of a pilgrimage to the places of my childhood, and that it would likely be a very emotional journey, I expected a positive and warm reaction to my approach. Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?
- Is this document mandatory for a hotel to rent a room?
- Is it checked during inspections?
- Is a hotel booking (e.g., via Booking.com) sufficient for the visa?
- If so, does it need to be paid in advance?
I plan to visit several cities and do one or more treks with a guide or agency.

I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address
AND a password (with confirmation). Is this normal?

I aimed for an excursion to the Chigaga desert from M’Hamid because it seems less touristy and allows for a more compact loop. Is that a good idea? Is the drive to M’Hamid maybe too tedious?

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.
