Bonjour à tous, mon amie et moi revenons d'une semaine au Cambodge (fin Février 2019) où nous avions pris un chauffeur-guide afin de gagner un maximum de temps et faire le maximum de choses sur place. Nous avons été ravies de notre choix. Je vous conseille donc Theary, cambodgien d'une quarantaine d'années qui parle anglais. Il fut parfait. March 2025 :) .... Hope you all managed to go on your trip! For our part, we’ve just returned from 2 weeks in Cambodia with Sophal SIN, who was our guide and driver. I’m sharing this on the forum because he’s a really great person. Sophal speaks perfect French, is thoughtful, calm, always in a good mood, and has a very French sense of humor [;)]: What we also appreciated was his Franco-Khmer background—he spent 30 years in France and returned to Cambodia in 2011—and this helped us better understand Cambodia and discover typical but not "touristy" spots (like small restaurants, a lesser-known fishing village on the Tonle Sap, etc.). Sophal SIN doesn’t work on commission (a mentality he told us he hates). He was a huge help in planning our culturally focused trip, at a pace that let us savor every moment. He drives a comfortable, well-air-conditioned Toyota Land Cruiser with great ease—so nice for this time of year!
