Travel companion for a short trip to Kerala in February 2026
Hello friends, After a 24-day panchakarma treatment in Kerala, I’m planning to extend my stay for about ten days with a driver and hotels included, plus a few excursions. This would be from February 11th to the 21st. If someone would like to join me on this trip, it’d be more fun to share our impressions. If not, I’ll go solo. Backwaters, Ooty, Periyar—I’m finalizing the itinerary, especially the last few days. I’ll be coming from Tahiti and returning there. I’m 74 years old, and this will be a pretty relaxed trip. Looking forward to meeting, preferably one of you ladies. Happy travels to everyone!

Longer or shorter for whoever joins me. 95 € per person. Daily includes: room, medical consultations, two massages, yoga, cooking classes, and three meals. It’s a package deal at a small center. Looking forward to it! I’m going even if I’m alone—I’ve already booked the room.

KERALA November/December 2025
Hi there, I’m planning a trip to Kerala at the end of the year. Just to clarify, I’ve been before and know India pretty well overall. I’ll be arriving either in Mumbai or Bangalore and making my way down to the far south using local transport (trains, buses…). Between cultural visits, I love enjoying the ocean and getting massages. I’m looking for independent travelers who can handle things on their own a bit (ideas for routes…). Guesthouses are my preference since they’re way more friendly than hotels, or simple and nice hotels. A chill trip, going with the flow. See you soon, Bernie

Mumbai - Nashik - Gokarna in October 2025
Hello everyone,

I’ve booked a round-trip flight to Mumbai from October 4th to 24th, 2025. I haven’t finalized my itinerary yet, but my plan is to spend 2 nights in Mumbai (hotel booked in Colaba), a few nights in Nashik, and then head down to Gokarna. I’m a young-at-heart sixty-something who stays very active and loves traveling. This will be my third trip to "southern" India, so I know what to expect in terms of cultural differences. Plus, my native language is English, so I have no trouble understanding or being understood, no matter the accent over there. I’d be happy to meet up and share some moments with you—young or not-so-young—if you’re up for it.

See you soon, I hope!

Zanskar Traverse in Ladakh
Hi there, Who’s going to be in Ladakh this summer solo and up for a north-south trek in Zanskar? I’m planning an off-trail route… the kind of path where, like last year, I ran into a bear. Pretty rare, let me tell ya!!! Option: a guide and one or two mules to travel light and support the locals, or go self-sufficient—we’ll see. I’ve got a contact, so I can sort this out! No agency, just a direct arrangement with a local from Kanji, a remote hamlet. Open to discussion.

Looking for trekking partner in Nepal
Hello, 67 years old, been hiking for a long time, staying in mountain huts during the season and trekking in Nepal for a few years now (three treks with 2/3 people: Mustang, Gokyo Lakes, Kanchenjunga South BC, and two solo treks: Langtang-Gosaikunda in 2025 and Makalu BC in 2026). I’d like to share another project like Lower Dolpo, Kanchenjunga North and South BC loop, or Manaslu Circuit. Open to other destinations but would prefer to avoid overly touristy areas. Looking for a woman or man for a trek (+ guide and one porter), all organized through a local agency in Kathmandu (I know several). Possible periods: November 2026 or April 2027. Have a great day!

Looking for person(s) for a trek in Nepal April-May 2026
Hello,

I’m a 56-year-old man who’s already done several treks in Nepal and elsewhere in the world. I’m also passionate about photography. I’m looking for one or more people to form a group for a trek in Nepal. The trek is the Annapurna and Manaslu circuit (24 days), also passing by Tilicho Lake. I have a great itinerary and the local company seems solid. The price is around $1600. I’ll be in Nepal from April 5 to May 12, 2026, so the trek will need to take place within those dates.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

One month in India in December 2025
Hi there,

I’m a traveler who’s really passionate about India, and I’m planning to go back for a month in December 2025. I know the country and its culture well.

I travel as a backpacker—light, staying in small guest houses, and getting around by bus and train.

This time, I’d love to explore Goa and the surrounding region, including some less touristy states nearby.

I’m looking for a female travel companion, max 45 years old (around my age), who’s used to backpacking, resourceful, and ideally already familiar with India (to avoid culture shock).

Feel free to reach out via private message.

See you soon!

Gujarat (India) - travel companion for February or March 2025
Hi there, I’m planning a trip to Gujarat in early 2025. Backpacker style, local transport, youth hostels or local hotels. I always prioritize a few days of chilling by the water. Just to mention, I’ve been traveling to India almost every year for the past 16 years. I’d prefer someone based in the Lyon area, but I’m open to travelers from other regions. For me, departure is from Lyon – arrival in Mumbai. See you soon, B.

Self-sufficient treks in Ladakh and Zanskar – August to mid-September 2026
Hello

I’m looking for people who might be interested in joining me on one or more self-sufficient treks, no agencies, between Zanskar and Ladakh this summer. My plans: Trek from Songde to Phuktal Gompa (return by hitching on the new road to Padum) Trek from Lingshe to Kanji (hitch to Lingshe using the new Padum–Nimmu road) Trek from Leh to Hundar (Nubra Valley) via Lasermo La Trek from Korzok (Tso Moriri) to Kibber via Parang La, probably after September 10th (there are 3 buses a month on the 10th, 20th, and 30th between Leh and Korzok) I’m pretty used to long-distance treks with a heavy backpack (self-sufficiency is key 😄!) and reasonably fit for my age 😅 (the big 5-0!). Feel free to reach out with any ideas if you’re interested, and we can figure out what’s doable together... Looking forward to hearing from you! Raf

Looking for partner(s) for the Three Passes trek and two 6000m peaks in Nepal
Hi everyone.

I’m putting together my next trek project for the Khumbu Valley.

I was there this year in October-November and would love to go back, ideally in November 2026.

I’m planning the Three Passes trek, including the ascent of Lobuche and Island Peak. The intermediate summits like Gokyo Ri and Kala Patthar will also be part of the adventure.

I’ve already requested a quote from the agency I used this year. Prices vary depending on the number of people. To be honest, going solo with a guide and a porter costs me (excluding the FRANCE-NEPAL flight) 3200 € + $990 extra for the guide (insurance, bonuses). With two people, the price drops to 3000 €, and the $990 disappears. That suddenly makes it much more affordable.

I’d love to go with one or more other people for several reasons. The cost, of course, but also—and most importantly—because it’s way more fun to share this kind of adventure.

Just to clarify, I know this agency well. They’re very professional, French-speaking, and handle any issues that come up. It’s been tested and approved. The ideal time is really November. This year, we had a late monsoon when we left at the end of October, followed by exceptional weather. But a late monsoon means snow—Gokyo was completely snowed in, and the passes were extremely tricky.

The ideal timing is a full month door-to-door, so from France back to France.

Don’t hesitate—there’s plenty of time. I’m just planning to confirm the trip during the winter, around February/March 2026.

See you soon

Trip to Nepal - Looking for companion for Kala Patthar trek - November 2025
Hi there! I’m heading to Nepal on November 3rd and plan to do a trek to Kala Patthar starting on the 7th (about twelve days). I’m a 68-year-old man in good physical shape and I’m looking for someone or an already-formed group up for the adventure. I’ll be accompanied by a porter and possibly a guide, but I think just the porter is necessary. Last year, I did the Mardi Himal trek in the Annapurna range. This one is 2 to 3 times longer. If you’re interested, drop me a message! Thanks

Looking for travel companions for India and Nepal September/October 2025
Hi everyone!

I’m heading to India and Nepal from September 6th to October 28th. I’ll arrive in Delhi and plan to stay there for 2 to 3 days to soak it all in before moving on. I’ve been traveling to India for 21 years and have visited 60% of the country. I’d love to share part of the journey with you—it’s way more fun with two or three people!

I’m considering entering Nepal overland (I’ve done it before, and it’s a great experience). Then, I’ll be trekking in Annapurna National Park for the third time! So, it’s open for pure bliss!

I’m not set on any particular destination in India—I’m open to all regions. I’ve got 7 weeks, so plenty of time! Looking forward to hearing from you if you’re up for an unforgettable adventure! We can already get in touch. See you soon!! Email: etre.yoga@gmail.com

Looking for 2 or 3 people for South India January-February 2025
Hello, I’m planning a trip to South India for 5 or 6 weeks. If there are three or four of us, we could rent a car, which would make things faster, and the planned route might only take a month instead of a month and a half. Since it’s impossible to do everything, I’m prioritizing ** and *** backpacker spots, as well as UNESCO sites.

I’m not really into beach destinations. I’m thinking of skipping Madras (Chennai) from the itinerary since there isn’t much that’s amazing to see there.

As for GOA, I’m much more interested in Old Goa (monuments and atmosphere) than the beaches of Goa.

The dates aren’t set in stone yet. I don’t have my flight ticket yet either. I’d like to leave around January 15th and return in mid or late February 2025.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if the project appeals to you. We can then chat via personal email and later on WhatsApp video. I’m not looking for people who talk non-stop, are overly sensitive, or high-strung. Might as well be upfront about it to avoid any disappointments. 😉

Best regards, Régine from Lyon. (66 years young but 45 in my head 😏)

Looking for a female travel companion for the Philippines - leaving early December
Hi there, I’ve booked my one-way ticket from Paris to Manila on December 6th, flight at 4 PM. I’ve already visited 6 out of 7,000 islands 😅 traveling on a small budget but not roughing it 😄 I’ll be traveling for 3 months, and nothing’s set in stone, so if anyone wants to join for part of the trip or suggest their itinerary, I’d love that. Could also be India or somewhere else. I’m an early riser, energetic, and resourceful. I’ve traveled quite a bit—Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia, India, etc.—mostly on budget flights. I love visiting iconic sites, nature, diving in warm, vibrant seas, and so on… over to you! I’m definitely not looking for hardship, just a travel buddy 😊

Who's joining me in Kerala from December 2 to 26, 2025? Departure from Nice
Hello Everybody,

I already have my flight ticket—departing from Nice on December 2 at 12:30 PM and returning on December 26 at midnight—for southern India... (gorgeous!)

I’ve been creating my travel journals for 15 years, and this one is ready too. The guesthouse and hotel (few) reservations are made... The itinerary is super nice...

And the Christmas festivities to see as well!

Unfortunately, due to health issues, my travel companion had to cancel this trip.

So, I’m looking for someone just like her... and like me. Fun, easygoing, friendly, and funny.

Someone who loves to laugh, who’s okay with transportation (buses, trains, rickshaws (tuk-tuks), bikes (very little... just on an island))...

Who’ll leave their worries at home, has no health issues, and enjoys going out during the day and in the evening for a drink.

I’ll get my visa this month... If someone is interested and decides quickly, we could definitely be on the same flight... I’ll obviously show you my itinerary...

No need to reach out if you’re indecisive or just curious—thanks for understanding... With less than three months until departure, we need to move fast...

The trip is all set...

23 nights on-site, flight ticket, visa, excursions, food, etc.—budget around 2600 €. Not bad, right?

On the agenda: various visits, endless rice fields and tea plantations, beaches, markets, chilling sometimes—in short, pure happiness.

People with difficult personalities or who are easily annoyed (lol) are excluded... Just someone nice who loves to have fun and live peacefully!

I work on my travel journals for 4 months, so this is about making the trip a success and being happy... I’ve been creating my own itineraries for 15 years...

My itinerary is ready... If you’re sure you can be free for the entire stay from December 2 to 26 (I’m not ruling out a travel companion), everyone will have their own room for the whole trip—I’ve booked everything accordingly...

A passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date is mandatory!

I managed to get a round-trip flight ticket for 580 € with very little waiting time (1.5 and 2.5-hour layovers... (Iberia operated by Qatar... With a bit of luck, we could be on the same flight).... I’ll apply for my visa online by the end of September... So, be sure of yourself so we can meet up quickly and possibly validate our visas together and book your flight ticket...

Welcome,

Caroline

3 weeks in April 2025: Sri Lanka, Nepal, or New Zealand – anyone interested?
Hi, I already posted an ad for April for Cape Verde, the Canary Islands, etc., but it’s possible I’ll have more time off than expected and could leave for 3 weeks starting April 19. In that case, I’m considering Sri Lanka, which has great weather across much of the country, or New Zealand, where it’s autumn and everything’s cheaper with still-pleasant weather. Nepal could also be an option, even though it apparently starts raining there. I’d be available for 3 weeks starting April 19, give or take. Open to other far-flung destinations with good weather. Looking for a female travel companion. I travel backpacker-style, on a tight budget, using local transport or renting a car (for New Zealand, for example). Feel free to message me privately.

Nepal - Great Traverse from Sherpani Col to Amphu Lapsta via Makalu Base Camp - October 2025
Hello, I’m planning to do the Great Traverse from Sherpani Col to Amphu Lapsta via Makalu Base Camp in October 2025 (22 to 23 days), from Num to Lukla—a route very rarely completed. It’s considered Nepal’s most challenging trek, but also likely the most breathtaking, with unique views of Makalu, Everest, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, and more.

I’ve already done many treks and trekking peaks in Nepal (three high passes, Mera Peak, the full Annapurna Circuit, North and South Kanchenjunga Base Camps, Manaslu Circuit, and the full traverse of Lower and Upper Dolpo).

We’re already two confirmed people and three with options. I’m looking for two or three additional travel partners for this adventure, planned between mid-October and mid-November 2025. The organization will be handled jointly with a well-known agency in Kathmandu that I trust, which has the guides and expertise for this kind of trek—something most agencies can’t offer.

Alpine experience is required due to technical challenges (technical ascent and descent of Sherpani Col and Amphu Lapsta with rappelling, glacial walking/steep slopes >45°), altitude (around ten days above 4,000m, with passes over 6,000m—Sherpani Col and West Col—and several nights in tents above 5,000m), and the remoteness of this traverse, which is done with tents, porters, and cooks.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch for more details about this incredible Himalayan adventure, rarely done as a traverse. See you soon
