bonsoir , Mon fils prend un vol Malaysian Singapour / kuala lumpur et arrive sur Kuala lumpur donc KLIA vers 22h20 . Il repart le lendemain matin toujours avec malaysian en Kuala lumpur/kota kinabalu . Je voudrai lui prendre un hotel sur l aéroport . facile d acces , il n a pas trop l habitude . Je pense qu on pourra editer une carte d embarquement la veille avec la malaysian ?? j ai vu sur les forums que certains hotels , dans l’aéroport exigeaient une carte d embarquement??

Back from Dong Van Big plus: a brand-new highway between Hanoi airport and Tuyen Quang, halfway between Hanoi and Ha Giang. The speed limit is usually 50 km/h, but it still saves time.

In Ha Giang, the Truong Xuan Hotel (Ha Giang Resort) has gone downhill. Stay at the gorgeous guesthouse (varnished wooden bungalows with panoramic terrace and excellent meals) run by Mr. WIN (03 64 86 67 66) in Thôn Tha village, 5 kilometers before Ha Giang. If it's full, try next door at Mr. Cay’s place—also bungalows, but with a less stunning view: 09 79 76 94 67.

Dong Van has become so popular that there are now over 200 hotels and guesthouses (only one existed 5 years ago). I stayed at my usual spot, the Hoang Ngoc, which now has an elevator, but it’s gotten expensive (450,000 VND). Instead, check out one of the two 2-star hotels across the street.

On the other hand, dining options have really improved. The excellent Green Karst (one of the servers, Mr. Hung, is also a French-speaking guide) has two locations—one on the main street and another a bit uphill to the left. Go to the latter.

I revisited Lung Cu, still just as spectacular. There are now small electric trains that take you up to the viewpoint (30,000 VND per person round trip). The Hmong King’s Palace in Sa Phin is still standing strong. Small shops to the left of the staircase—the closest one is run by a descendant of the king, actually a traditional costume chief.

There’s a lovely guesthouse at the top of Ma Pi Leng, run by a super-friendly Hmong guy in a beret (a French legacy) who speaks decent French. The terrace overlooks the Nho Qué River canyon. 250,000 VND for two, breakfast included (dinner is 200,000 VND).

Hi, Flight from Phu Quoc to Langkawi via Kuala Lumpur with a self-transfer layover of 2H10. No terminal change, but you’ll need to collect your carry-on luggage, recheck in for the second flight (same airline, AirAsia), go through customs and security... Hi, We’ve planned a week in the delta, but sometimes I wonder if that’s not too much… We’ll be there in early February, and the idea is to take a taxi straight from Saigon Airport to Ben Tre. I’m counting on 3 nights to recover and adjust after the long trip. Then I was thinking of Sadec, Can Tho, Chau Doc, Ha Tien, and back to Saigon for 3 nights before a flight to Hoi An. We’ve got 6 weeks total, so we have a bit of time. After reading different travel stories, the destinations in the delta seem a bit repetitive—I keep seeing the same excursions. On the other hand, I also think having time is a chance to get to know the local life a little better. My question really comes down to this: for those of you who travel at a relaxed pace, do you have any tips? I’ve heard the floating markets aren’t that interesting anymore. Hi everyone, I’m currently planning a trip to Malaysia for January 2025. I’ve got three transport questions for you all!

1: I arrive at 3 PM at Kuala Lumpur Airport and plan to take a direct bus to Malacca. Is booking a bus for 5 PM feasible, or is it too tight after collecting luggage? And which platform is the most reliable? Redbus, 12GO Asia, Rome2RIO, busonlineticket? Or can I buy a ticket on the spot without a reservation? Is that too risky? Alternatively, is it better to take a Grab? I saw the fare was around 60 €. Can you confirm this price? And is it easy to find a Grab from the airport for this distance?

2: Penang to Cameron Highlands (Tanah Rata) route—I saw there’s a direct bus that takes 5 hours. Can you confirm this? And is this duration realistic?

3: Cameron Highlands to Pangkor: This one’s tricky... The best I’ve found is 2 buses + a ferry + a taxi. Do you have a better suggestion?

hier a l'aeroport de phu quoc un couple d'occidentaux se voyaient refuser l'embarquement sur un vol domestique car ils n'avaient pas de masque et la compagnie n'en fournis pas donc il vaut mieux avoir des masques dans son sac , j'attendais avec ma compagne vietnamienne derriere ce couple qui était desemparé , moi meme je n'avais qu'un seul masque , que m'a compagne m'avait donné!! celle ci entendant l'hotesse d'enregistrement qui parlait un peu dur, a ouvert sa valise a puisé dans sa reserve de masque et a offert deux masques a ce couple qui se sont fondus en remerciement , en leur disant welcome in vietnam!! ce geste m'a enormement touché et m'aurait touché tout autant meme si ce n'était pas ma compagne

J3 : Je ne sais pas si il faut plus de temps pour Hoi An. Selon vos réponses, j'affinerai pour aller à Hue. L'idéal serait d'en profiter pour faire des visites en route. J'ai regardé un peu easy rider. Nuit à Hue.

J4 : Journée de visites à Hue. Nuit à Hue.

J5 : Trajet vers Da Nang pour visiter Son Tra et les environs. Nuit à Da Nang.

J6 : Vol retour tôt le matin de l'aéroport de Da Nang.

Hi everyone, we arrive in Hanoi from March 6th to 8th, then head to Ninh Binh from the 8th to 10th. I’d planned to sleep in Halong on the 10th because on the 11th we’re doing an overnight cruise with the Peony. On the 12th, we’re staying in Cat Ba—I’m not sure if we should stay the 13th too? Back to Hanoi to go to Ho Chi Minh City airport for two nights, I think. Then the Mekong Delta, Ben Tre. We’ve booked two nights in Phu Coc to leave on March 19th for Hanoi and fly back to France on the 20th. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but I could really use your help—is going to Cat Ba necessary? J'ai programmé un séjour à Kuala Lumpur du 9 au 15 décembre pour assister aux 8 Heures de Sepang, et je vais en profiter pour consacrer 2 jours de tourisme. J'étais déjà allé à Kuala Lumpur en 2015, mais j'aurais toutefois besoin de quelques informations d'ordre pratique. Comment choisir le bon endroit, le bon billet pour les transports, sachant que je ne maîtrise pas l'anglais. C'est bien là le plus compliqué, car je suis déjà fixé pour les endroits où je compte me rendre, et tout le reste est réservé. Je dormirai au Sri Enstek Hotel, à Labu. Le site indique qu'il est à 3,2 km du circuit (qui est lui-même très proche de l'aéroport), mais sur Google Map, ils mettent 7,5 km.... J'ai fait des recherches d'itinéraires (train, bus...) sur Google map, mais les temps de parcours semblent erronés Voici donc mes questions : 1/ Quels transports utiliser pour me rendre depuis l'aéroport (ou depuis mon hotel si certaines personnes connaissent) à : - Grottes de Batu - Tours Petronas - Putrajaya Pour info, je n'ai pas peur de marcher, du moment que çà n'est pas trop long. 2/ Où changer de l'argent sans risque d'arnaque, sachant que le premier jour, je devrais me contenter du trajet de l'aéroport à mon hôtel (qui propose des navettes) 3/ Sur Google Map, j'ai déjà téléchargé une carte pour pouvoir utiliser le GPS hors connexion. Le fonctionnement est-il aussi pratique que lorsque je suis connecté ? Ou est-il préférable de télécharger une autre application GPS ? 4/ Les prises de courant sont-elles les mêmes qu'en France ? Hey everyone, I’m over in East Borneo in mid-July. I’m struggling to wrap up the end of my itinerary, even though it’s pretty straightforward (long but simple). Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).

Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees. Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands. Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way). Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan. Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide). Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island. Day 10 – Head to Semporna. Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai. Day 15 – Bohey Dulang. Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.

I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous. I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing. I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture. But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary. If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.

I already posted not long ago because I was planning to go to Kota Kinabalu, but there’s been a slight change of plans.

I’m still in Malaysia, but I’ll be staying on the peninsular side, so I need some tips/reviews.

Here’s what I’m planning to do:

- Arrive in Kuala Lumpur on August 16th and do some sightseeing. I saw that you can do a firefly and blue tears tour. Is it worth it? If so, how do you recommend getting there or which agency should I book with?

By the way, do you have any particular recommendations for things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

- Next, I’d like to visit Taman Negara for 2D/1N, but I’m not sure how to get there or which agency to book with to organize everything. Should I figure out how to get there first and then find a guide on the spot? We’d like to do the canopy walkway—is there anything else to do there? I know you used to be able to make your own blowpipe at the village—is that still a thing?

- After that, I’d like to head to the Perhentian Islands. How do we get there? Do I need to go back to Kuala Lumpur to take a bus, or can I leave from Taman Negara? Are there overnight buses? Or should we book the ferry?

I wanted to go there for diving—do you have any reviews or tips on that?

Do you also have any activity recommendations there? Like cooking classes, dance lessons, shows, or great snorkeling spots...

- Then we’d go to Kuala Terengganu. Do you know how to get there? How long do you recommend staying in the city? I think you can do rafting and the Cherating River—is it good, and do you have an agency in mind for that? I’m really not sure if it’s worth stopping in this city.

Is it interesting to visit Kapas Island? Or is it better to go straight from the Perhentian Islands to Tioman?

- Tioman: we really want to go for diving, but again, we’re not sure how to get there. And as always, if you have any activity recommendations, I’m all ears.

From there, I’m not sure yet if I’ll go to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, but I thought there were flights from Tioman to Kuala Lumpur, but I can’t find any.

We’re heading to Vietnam in February as a family (2 adults and 2 kids) for 9 full days, and I was thinking of this itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi Day 2: Halong Bay (Lan Ha) Day 3: Halong Bay (Lan Ha) Day 4: Hue Day 5: Danang Day 6: Danang Day 7: Hoi An Day 8: Hoi An/My Son Day 9: Hanoi

After reading almost all the discussions about Vietnam, I don’t see anything about transportation options for getting from Hue to Danang, then from Danang to Hoi An. Any ideas (train, bus)? From the map, it looks like Danang is close to Hoi An—easily accessible by taxi, right?

Also, after reading lots of comments and websites, I’ve noticed that Danang, aside from being a big developing city, seems to be more about hotels for relaxing on the beach—very laid-back, isn’t it? Not really a place to visit like Hanoi or Hoi An.

Generally speaking, if you have any recommendations for the itinerary or tips, I’d love to hear them.

J'ai bien conscience que personne n'a encore réellement de réponse mais si, comme moi, vous avez vos billets d'avion en poche depuis longtemps, préparez votre périple depuis longtemps, réservez vos hôtels depuis longtemps, vous devez sans doute être dans l'attente des annonces officielles des différents gouvernements.

Me concernant, à l'heure actuelle, je me dis que la possibilité de partir est proche de 1%, que tout bouge très vite. Je n'ai donc rien annulé, je ferai cela au dernier moment (en juillet). Je me dis aussi que Singapour et la Malaisie sont des pays développés capable de répondre rapidement à la menace du Covid-19, idem pour la France.
