Hello. Je cherche des renseignements sur la location de voiture au zimbabwe, du style: l'état des routes en août et la facilité d'accès aux parcs combien ca coute pour 1 mois? (si qqun a un bon plan je suis preneur!!) peut-on entrer dans les parcs avec une voiture de loc? même question sur les passages de frontière les conséquences de la pénurie d'essence actuelle pour les trajets en voiture?

Je compte aller au zimbabwe en juin 05, à Vic Falls, puis visiter les parc du nord (Hwange, Matusadona et Mana Pools) pour faire de la photographie animalière.

Depuis les dernières élections, la situation au Zimbabwe a-t-elle évoluée ? si oui avec quels impacts sur le tourisme ? j'étais déjà allé à Vic Falls et Hwange en 2002 et je n'avais rencontré aucun pb (je garde un excellent souvenir de ce séjour).

Par ailleurs, j'ai entendu dire l'année dernière que le braconnage s'intensifiait dans les parcs, et que d'autre part le gouvernement avait fait abattre des centaines d'éléphants en 2003/2004. Si cela est vrai, les animaux risquent d'être très craintifs...

J'ai besoin d'un maximum d'infos concernant la Namibie. Mon amie et moi partons courant septembre/octobre pour 4 semaines.

Est-il possible de voyager en utilisant les moyens de transport locaux et le stop à travers le pays ou non ?

Nous voyageons habituellement en sac à dos et toile de tente, mais le pays est vaste. Est-il vraiment nécessaire de louer une voiture ? Pouvons-nous camper là ou la fatigue nous arrête ?

Bonjour. Je pars pour l'Afrique du Sud dans une semaine, mais quitte mon domicile après demain jeudi. Je pars en tant que touriste... et j'ai réservé un billet d'avion aller le 26 aout et retour le 1 decembre, ne sachant pas à l'origine que la durée limite de séjour d'un touriste était de 3 mois... La durée de mon séjour indiquée par le billet est de 3 mois et 4 ou 5 jours... J'ai peur de me faire refouler à l'entrée au pays, ce qu'ils peuvent légalement faire d'après l'ambassade d'Afrique du sud... et je ne peux pas changer ma date de retour sans payer 100 euros à ma compagnie aérienne... Est-ce que vous pensez qu'ils vont me créer des ennuis à l'entrée dans le pays pour 4 jours de plus sur mon séjour? Est-ce que votre expérience peut m'éclairer sur ce que je devrais faire pour ne pas perdre l'intégralité de mon séjour ? Merci cde vos réponses au plus vite!!!

Je prépare un voyage en Namibie et souhaiterais faire un détour par le Kalahari. Quelqu'un peut-il me dire par où doit-on y entrer ? Est-ce qu'il y a des campings à l'intyérieur du parc ? Combien de temps conseillez-vous d'y rester ?

Je projette de partir trois semaine/un mois juste avant noel ( ou juste apres ) pour faire un tour a velo de trois-quatre semaines de préférence en Irlande, mais je comprends bien que le froid et la pluie puissent rebuter certain et donc je n'exclue pas un pays + chaud mais quand même en Europe. Je suis géographe thésarde et j ai bien roulé ma bosse, je reviens juste de 6 mois passés en Afrique australe, au Lesotho SA, Namibie et Botswana. Je ne suis pas de nature stressee, bien sur un periple a velo ca s'organise surtout si on veut trouver les meilleurs plans, mais dejà je voudrais trouver des gens très motivés, souples et confiants qt a ma motivation pour realiser ce petit projet vivifiant. Le mieux serait que je trouve moyen de me greffer sur un projet, mais faute de mieux, je poste. Sinon : ou pourrais- je trouver des sites d annonce pour trouver co-equip velo ? Danke.

Mon projet est de faire un TDM axé sur l'Amérique centrale et du sud, puis l'Afrique.

Chercher coéquipier(e) de confiance bien sûr, flexible, mûr(e), qui sache se prendre en main mais aussi partager tant matériellement que moralement.

Départ prévu ? Pas avant mai-juin, le temps de faire encore un peu d'économies, de trouvers les voyagistes les moins chers, de rendre l'appart', vendre des meubles, prendre un maximum de renseignements.

Les pays ? A décider ensemble, personellement je serais plutôt tentée par : Mexique, Nicaragua, Bolivie, peut être Argentine, puis Mali, Botswana, Namibie, Mozambique, Afrique du Sud.

After taking a little trip around the world, I came back a few months ago with an idea in mind.

I mostly do diving, and I love observing animals in their natural habitat without disturbing them.

During the trip, I realized it was quite complicated to know where and when to see certain species.

For example:

where to dive with sharks or manta rays where you might get a chance to swim with whales

I even discovered thresher sharks during my trip… I didn’t even know this species existed before, even though they’re incredible to see.

We spent a ton of time searching for info all over the place, especially on social media, without ever getting a clear picture.

So I started putting all this together on my own, in the form of a map, to make it easier to visualize where to go depending on the seasons.

I recently put a first version online (it’s called Fauneya). There are probably mistakes, inconsistencies, or things to improve, and that’s partly why I’m posting here.

I’d really love to know how you all go about planning this kind of trip.

Hi there, In two months, I’m heading off for 4 weeks with three backpacker friends to South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini. We’ve got our round-trip flight tickets from France to Johannesburg and plan to drive from Johannesburg to Cape Town and back to Johannesburg in an SUV or 4x4. For other city trips, we’ll use local transport or Uber. That’s the plan for our transportation.

For the car rental, I’d like to know which company to book with. Can anyone give me some tips on renting a vehicle and crossing into Lesotho and Eswatini?

We’ve already visited the West Coast National Park. Is covering such a distance to reach KTP (the main goal of our trip) really worth it—does it offer enough to justify the detour? Hi there, I’m heading to Kruger Park for 4 days in May 2026. Departing from Paris → Skukuza via JNB on Air France. Here’s what’s worrying me: my flight lands (in theory) at JNB at 8:30 AM (Terminal A), then I’ve got a JNB → Skukuza departure at 10:05 AM (Terminal B). That leaves me with 1 hour and 35 minutes to make the connection and clear customs. I don’t have any checked luggage—just carry-on. I called Air France, and they said it’s doable (in theory) with a minimum connection time of 1 hour 30 minutes (which is why they sold the ticket), but I’ll need to move quickly. From your experience, is this realistic in practice? Can I ask customs officers to let me through as a priority? (I’ve got my flight ticket to show.) Thanks for your insights! Serge

Hi everyone, I’m starting to plan an itinerary for September 2027 focused on Zimbabwe and Zambia. I’d love to visit Gonarezhou National Park—I see there are two sectors: the Mwenezi Region in the south and the area around the Runde River in the north. Should I cover both sectors or just focus on the northern region? For the parks along the Zambezi River, is it better to visit Mana Pools on the Zimbabwe side or Lower Zambezi on the Zambia side? Hi there, I’m planning a trip to Namibia in 2026. I’m torn between visiting the Fish River Canyon and the Caprivi Strip / Victoria Falls. I’d also love your advice on the best time to travel for wildlife viewing and pleasant weather. If this theme has been used before, it doesn’t matter. It’s getting tricky to find new themes that can attract as many participants as possible.
