J’ai des vacances au moi d'août et je pensais aller en Croatie, je me pose plusieurs questions Faut il réserver si l'on va sur la cote ? Faut il avoir un moyen de transport si l'on veut faire plusieurs endroits ? et surtout si il y a des endroits qu'il ne faut pas rater ?

Dans 3 semaines, je pars en voyage universaire, destination la Croatie! Nous avons droit à une journée de temps libre à Zagreb mais elle tombe un dimanche (et tant pis pour nous, les filles, qui aimons le shopping!)... Quelqu'un aurait-il une bonne idée de choses à voir/ à faire (et qui soit ouvert!)? Merci beaucoup et bonne route à tous!

je n'ai pas peur des bobos 🏴‍☠️ ni des rencontres un peu étranges 🤪 ...je pense (sans ne rien connaitre au sujet cependant) que je pourrais me débrouiller en CROATIE . MAIS LE SEUL BUDGET ME fait un peu peur ... Pour 2 semaines, vous qui avez voyagé entre campings et auberges de jeunesse, mais qui vous êtes offert le luxe de quelques grenadines et d'un nouveau chapeau de paille (à la dernière mode à ZAGREB), combien me conseillez vous de prévoir?

nouvellement inscrite sur ce forum, je n'en connais pas le fonctionnement et excuser moi par avance des mes futurs bourdes comme on dit chez moi.😉

Nous avons le projet de partir en 2006 faire le tour de l'afrique puis de l'australie en 4 x 4 (defender 110 équipé en autonomie totale). Pour faire un " tour d'essai" avec nos véhicules pour les éprouvés dans de bonnes conditions, nous souhaitons passer nos vacances d'été à barouder en croatie et découvrir et faire la conaissance de ce peuple, et bien sur leur si beau pays.

Alors nous sommes prenneurs de tous les renseignements et de vos expériances passées dans ce pays.

je suis particulièrement interessée pour travailler dans un tour opérateur local qui propose des séjours liés à l'environnement, aux sport de nature et encore mieux à l'éco-tourisme.

Je recherche des infos sur la Croatie, c'est assez important car on est 3 + 1 bébé à vouloir s'installer là-bas, loin de la métropole mais pas trop loin quant-même... En fait on voudrait y habiter et y travailler, créer 1 petite entreprise en fonction des besoins. merci de nous répondre et si vous souhaitez au passage avoir des infos sur St Martin en Guadeloupe, pas de problème!!! This summer, we’ve decided to do a 3-week road trip starting from Nice and heading down to Ksamil in Albania.

We’re leaving from Nice, and our route is already pretty much set: Nice - Verona (Italy) - Rijeka (Croatia) - Zadar - Split - Budva (Montenegro) - Shkodër (Albania) - Ksamil, then back through Italy via Bari.

The itinerary is packed! 🙂

We’re boarding a Costa cruise on the Deliziosa next weekend at 11:30 AM. Our flight lands at 10 AM at Trieste Airport. Unfortunately, there’s no train before 11 AM, so we’ll arrive around noon, later than the time indicated on the boarding pass. Could you confirm that we can easily arrive 30 minutes later? I imagine there must be quite a wait to board.

hello I’m looking for advice for a last-minute trip—about 3 weeks (half Montenegro, half Croatia). I’m traveling solo, backpacker style (low budget, hostels). I’m 40 and love exploring cool spots—cities, beaches, mountains, sports activities, you name it.

I’m torn between renting a car or just going with the flow using buses once I’m there. A car would definitely be more convenient, but it might be pricier—plus, parking (is it paid?) and having to return it to the same place. My plan is to start in Montenegro (flying into Podgorica or Albania) and finish in Croatia, so I’d either need to do short-term rentals per country or one-way.

In Montenegro, here are the spots I’ve noted: - Ulcinj and Velika Plaža beach - A side trip to Lake Skadar and Virpazar - Budva, Sveti Stefan, and Petrovac - Cetinje and Lovćen National Park - Kotor / Perast - Žabljak and Durmitor National Park + rafting in the Tara Canyon Is 8–10 days enough?

And in Croatia, I’ve got: - Dubrovnik - Korčula - Hvar - Split + Trogir and Krka National Park - Zadar - Plitvice Lakes National Park - Croatian Istria / Rovinj / Pula - Zagreb Around 10–12 days.

Any tips on the stops (adding or cutting some from my list) or transportation options?

Hi there, I’m planning to leave Avignon around March 15 (± a few days) to follow the EuroVelo 6 all the way to the Black Sea. The trip should take about 3 months. I’ll be riding a mechanical touring bike, no electric assist, and I’d like to keep a relaxed pace, between 50 and 80 km per day, depending on how I feel, the weather, and the people I meet along the way. I’ve traveled by bike before, but never for this long—it’s a fun challenge I’m setting for myself, no pressure, just to enjoy the journey and the experience. I’m simply looking for someone who shares the same vibe: taking it slow, riding without rushing, soaking in the landscapes, chatting when it feels right, and having quiet moments when needed… basically, a companion who values the spirit of travel over performance. Slovenia was the originally planned destination for summer 2022, as a complement to a road trip through Croatia and Montenegro. Plans changed on a whim in February of that year. Our Balkans road trip would ultimately be limited to Slovenia and take place over 10 days during the Easter school holidays. Flight tickets and car rental were booked right away; all that was left was to finalize our itinerary, already sketched out, and the accommodation reservations.

I decided to add Plitvice Lakes in Croatia to our program. I really wanted to discover them, and for my husband, it was a chance to revisit them several years after a trip to Yugoslavia when he was a teenager.

I’m happy to contribute to the reopening of our forum by posting this travel journal (originally posted in 2022 on another forum, the text has been partially revised and photos added). As usual, a few photos to start with—maybe they’ll inspire you to join in!
