I’m trying to plan a trip to Dubai with my mom. I’ve seen that some of our medications require prior authorization (sleeping pills, codeine, anti-anxiety meds, etc.).

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been in our situation. A friend of mine applied to bring her tramadol, but it was denied—though she needed high doses!

Has anyone here gone through this process? Do we *really* need a prescription in English?

Hi there, We’re planning an MSC cruise departing from Dubai. On MSC’s website, it says we need to take out health insurance for Doha. The issue is that some insurers are asking if we’ve got a visa, but French citizens don’t need one. Has anyone had a layover in Doha? What’s the deal with this health insurance? Thanks so much!

I booked a flight to Dubai on Expedia with my married name instead of my maiden name, with Emirates. I sent a form to Expedia to correct it, I called them several times, and they keep passing me around without fixing my name. On my passport, it shows my maiden name (ép. ...). Do you think it’ll be okay?

Hello, I’m traveling this May to France and have a layover in Dubai with a 4h45 connection. Could you let me know if I need to collect my luggage when I arrive at Terminal 3 to depart from the same terminal? My travel agency is telling me to pick it up, go through customs, and then check in again for my departure with my luggage. That seems odd to me. Could you confirm whether this is correct or not? Hi fellow travelers ;-)) 😎 (Flying Emirates A380 Economy Class) This will be MY FIRST TIME on the A380 😎 in just under a month (I’m also an aviation enthusiast), and I’d really like a window seat. But I want to fully enjoy the view—if it’s clear, of course—and I’d prefer to avoid the wings. From the available seats, there are quite a few at the back, but only 3 or 4 just ahead of the wings (though they’re more expensive!!). I’m hesitating because seats are selling fast, but if I end up choosing one toward the rear, will I still be blocked by the wings? (They’re so long and wide!!!) :-0 Thanks so much for your firsthand experiences!! 🙂

J'ai réservé, en janvier, un vol pour Dubai avec EMIRATES pour 4 pour le boulot et j'ai pris exprès un vol opéré en A380 car nous ne l'avons jamais pris. Mais voilà, je viens de regarder aujourd'hui ma réservation et l'avion a changé, c'est un B777 maintenant. Je suis vraiment très déçue et quand je tente de modifier le vol, cela me demande plus de 900€ ! Y-a-t-il moyen de les appeler pour voir directement avec eux ? Vraiment, je suis dépitée, j'ai choisi cette destination pour ça principalement... Merci pour votre aide !

J'ai réservé un voyage pour Dubaï de 7 nuits en janvier dernier pour septembre prochain...

La date approche, mais j'ai peur que le voyagiste (O'Voyage) annule. Je m'explique nous partons de Lyon le 11 septembre avec Emirates, or il n'y a aucun vol de prévu, Emirates part uniquement de Paris pour le moment...

Avez-vous eu déjà eu le cas d'un changement d'aéroport de départ ? Car si pas de vol, ils vont annuler et je vais me retrouver avec un avoir (j'en ai déjà deux)... Je le ai contacté par mail et messenger, mais aucun retour.
