Je suis en ce moment au Brésil avec mon copain, et nous faisons cap plein sud vers l´Uruguay.. Nous ne savons presque rien sur ce pays, et j´aimerai savoir les bons plans, les trucs a voire, les villes incontournables etc... Bonjour à tous! Je pars dans quelques jours en Afrique du Sud et plus précisément au Cap pour 6 mois d'echange universitaire (et pour de nombreux voyages), or je n'ai pas mon permis de conduire... Et au dire de tous avoir une voiture est absolument indispensable. Je sais tout de même manoeuvrer une voiture et je possède un permis de conduire international acheté au Mexique, qui n'est pas valable en France (bien que valable au mexique) mais qui ressemble en tout point a un permis officiel. Ma question est: conduire sans permis ou avec un permis bidon est-il risqué dans ce pays? Peut etre que la police a autre chose a faire que de mettre en prison un petit Français pour ça...

Le litre d'essence franchit un cap symbolique Mise à jour le lundi 27 juin 2005 à 19 h 52À Montréal, le prix du litre d'essence ordinaire sans plomb a franchi la barrière de 1 $ ce lundi, en début d'après-midi, dans plusieurs stations-service. Le prix affiché est de 1, 02 $, mais certains établissements vendent toujours leur essence à 0, 92 $.

Le prix du litre d'essence ordinaire à la pompe a franchi la barre de 1 $ la semaine dernière pour ensuite redescendre quelques heures plus tard.

Le baril à plus de 60 $US

Cette hausse survient alors qu'un nouveau record du prix du pétrole a été atteint lundi sur les marchés.

À New York, il a finalement clôturé à 60, 54 $ US, en hausse de 70 cents. À Londres, le baril de Brent a clôturé à 58, 52 $ US, en hausse de 1, 49 $ US.

Cette augmentation s'explique par les inquiétudes quant à la capacité des pays producteurs de répondre à la demande, particulièrement aux États-Unis.

Par ailleurs, la victoire de l'ultraconservateur Mahmoud Ahmadinejad à la tête de l'Iran, l'un des plus importants pays producteurs de pétrole, contribue aussi à cette nouvelle flambée des prix. Devant cette situation, le président de l'Organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole (OPEP), le Koweïtien Ahmad Al-Fahd Al-Sabah, a affirmé avoir joint les ministres du Pétrole de l'Arabie saoudite et du Qatar, samedi, pour examiner des mesures afin de calmer la flambée des prix. Vendredi, les prix du pétrole ont maintenu leur avance, après avoir atteint la barre symbolique des 60 $US à New York.

L'Alberta en profite La hausse effrénée des prix du pétrole ne fait toutefois pas que des mécontents. Grâce à sa production de pétrole, l'Alberta devrait accumuler cette année des surplus budgétaires supplémentaires d'environ cinq milliards de dollars. Le gouvernement albertain avait prévu des revenus supplémentaires de 1, 5 milliard pour toute l'année, mais cette prévision a déjà été atteinte au premier trimestre de l'exercice financier.

Par un TO, j'ai été informé de l'augmentation de la taxe aéroport à DAKAR et CAP SKIRRING. Cette augmentation de 40 euros/pers. est répercutée sur tous les vols à destination du Sénégal. Un réajustement serait en cours pour les ventes déjà effectuées à ce jour !! et quelle que soit la date de départ...

Cette taxe passe de 67 euros à 107 euros....

Quelqu'un peut il me confirmer cette "forte" augmentation? et quels sont les recours pour tout achât de billet déja réglé?

The plan is to meet in Bastia on May 9th before noon, then set off with a rental car (for the week, 140 € to split!) to explore the CAP CORSE. We’ll make two camping stops (east and north), so bring your own small tent if possible, to tackle the coastal trails. Then a break in St-Florent, followed by two days in the Agriates (with 4–6-hour hikes daily).

We’ll take the overnight ferry from Toulon and return by boat from Bastia too (40 € round trip).

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.

This route means renting a car in Finland and dropping it off in Norway. My initial searches are showing rental rates that are... astronomical—about three times the price compared to returning it at the starting point.

I’m guessing I’m not the only one wanting to visit both countries. Are there any great tips to drastically reduce the cost of renting a car?

Hello, I’m 76 years old and travel a lot around the world. I’m planning to go to Oman from March 19 to April 8, 2026. (After that, I’m off to Turkey to meet some friends.) I’m looking for a fellow traveler to share a car rental to explore some off-the-beaten-path spots. I just got back from Cape Verde, and before that, I was in the USA, Japan, Chile, etc. I usually travel solo, and obviously, I meet a lot of people along the way. For Oman (and Namibia next year), it seems more practical to travel with 2 or 3 people. That’s all! Patrice

Hi there, In two months, I’m heading off for 4 weeks with three backpacker friends to South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini. We’ve got our round-trip flight tickets from France to Johannesburg and plan to drive from Johannesburg to Cape Town and back to Johannesburg in an SUV or 4x4. For other city trips, we’ll use local transport or Uber. That’s the plan for our transportation.

For the car rental, I’d like to know which company to book with. Can anyone give me some tips on renting a vehicle and crossing into Lesotho and Eswatini?

Hi there, we're leaving on October 17th for 5 days. Arriving in Tunis. I'm looking into heading west toward Tabarka and the Kef region.

Itinerary:

- Bizerte and surroundings (Cap Negro, etc.)

- Kroumirie massif (2-day trek)

- Tabarka

- Then return via Dougga

- Possibly the Kef region.

Could you let me know if the area (Kroumirie / Tabarka) is still pleasant in mid-October or if it's already too late?

Also, what are the must-see spots I shouldn’t miss if I’ve forgotten any?

Hi everyone, I’d be driving down the Panorama Route starting from Balule via Hoedshpruit to catch a flight to Cape Town. Is it wiser to head back up to Hoedspruit the next morning, stopping by the viewpoints again, or to go to Nelspruit Airport instead? There’s not a huge time or distance difference—just about a 15-minute shorter drive to Nelspruit—but is it more interesting to take the route down to Nelspruit via Hazyview (which we wouldn’t have seen yet) or to revisit the viewpoints if we didn’t spend enough time there the day before? Just to note, we’ll have rented the car from Hoedshpruit initially, and we’ll need to return it for our flight to Cape Town. I think we can switch the drop-off airport for an extra fee. My partner and I are planning a 21-day self-drive trip from Victoria Falls to Cape Town, flying from Montreal to Victoria Falls and renting a 4x4. Hi everyone, I’m reaching out today to gather some great tips for the second part of our trip to South Africa, which will take place from 03/21 to 04/11. We don’t want to rush too much either. We’ll start in Cape Town (tickets already booked) since it seems like a good time to visit this region—except for the whales in Hermanus, which we won’t be seeing. Oh, and I almost forgot, we’re renting a car for both legs of the trip for more freedom.

The first part is planned like this:

- 03/21: Arrival in Cape Town, staying until 03/24 - 03/25: Visit to the Cape, including a stop in Simon’s Town - 2 nights in Stellenbosch from 03/26 to 03/28 - 3 nights in Knysna to explore the area from 03/28 to 03/31 - 03/31: Flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban, where we’ll spend one night in Umhlanga

After that, I’m a bit lost 🙂. Next, I was thinking of doing:

2 nights in St. Lucia 2 nights in Eswatini 4 nights in Kruger Park (2 nights in Skukuza and 2 nights in Balule to visit a private reserve) 1 night at Blyde Canyon 1 night somewhere to get closer to Johannesburg (Graskop?) since we’ll need to return the car by around 11:00 AM on 04/11.

So, does the second part make sense or not? I’ve done quite a bit of research, but I’m still a little lost . We can’t wait to be there, and your valuable advice would be very welcome. Thanks so much in advance, and have a great day! Luis

We have a round-trip ticket from Paris to Johannesburg and are considering taking 2 domestic flights: one between Johannesburg and Cape Town and another between Cape Town and Durban. Do you know when it's best to book the tickets to get the best fares and which airline to choose? I'm currently finding tickets on Safair for 300 € for 4 between Johannesburg and Cape Town. What do you think? Also, I have a slight hesitation. We're going for 18 days. Do you think it's better to focus on the northern part of the country, including Kruger, or is it worth visiting the Cape region as well (the kids dream of seeing whales!)? Bonjour Nous partons avec un bébé de 15 mois. Je voudrais faire quelques randonnées faciles (je porterai bébé sur le dos😛) disons entre 1h et 3h de marche. Je suis preneur de bons plans dans la région du sud du Cap corse (nous allons rester 5 jours à Oletta près de St Florent) et ensuite au sud entre Porto Vecchio et Bonifacio. Le seul truc que j'ai repéré pour l'instant c'est la balade en bord de mer vers la pointe de Pertusato.

Sachant qu'il n'y a pas grand chose à faire et pas envie d'aller à Disney à Orlando.

Dans mon pack proposez par MSC avion + hôtel à Miami, pour le moment il manque une nuit, celle du 27 au 28 mars, dans mon compte il est toujours inscrit mes nuits d'hôtel jusqu'au 27 mars...

J'aimerai éviter les 3 heures de bus entre Miami et le Cap Canaveral, je demande à MSC s'il propose autre solution

On regrette la disparition de l'escale Océan Cay, on est en mode annulation car on trouve trop dommage d'aller jusque là-bas et de ne pas pouvoir en profiter.
