- Can you choose the denominations at exchange bureaus/ATMs? How do you avoid ending up with only 1000-baht notes when exchanging large sums? - If not, is there an easy way to get change? Any alternatives to buying stuff at 7-Eleven? - Can you buy train tickets from Thonburi to Kanchanaburi in advance? Is there usually space available, considering some people do the Death Railway day trip from Bangkok to Sai Yok Noi? - Is there room for luggage on the trains to Kanchanaburi? We’ll be traveling as a group of four with two large checked-baggage-sized suitcases (25 kg each). - Kanchanaburi: Most day tours allow around 3 hours at Erawan Falls. Is that enough, or is it worth spending the whole day there, especially at the start of the rainy season when it’s a bit greener? - In Sam Roi Yot, are there taxis/Grab/Bolt available for exploring the surrounding areas? I’d appreciate any numbers or addresses. - Does True (7-Eleven) have good coverage across Thailand, from Sam Roi Yot to Chiang Rai, or should we go with AIS? - In Bangkok, if you need to switch BTS lines, do you need a new ticket, or can you change lines as long as you don’t exit the station?

If you're heading to Basse-Terre in Pointe-Noire, Guadeloupe, **do not** stay at Ara Wakam cabin. It looks tempting on Booking, but it’s a total **SCAM**. There aren’t two bedrooms as advertised—just a double bed in the living area and two single beds in the attic, where it’s **scorchingly hot** and the fan is **extremely noisy**. But the worst part? It’s **THE HOUSE OF MOSQUITOES**. No windows, shutters with gaps that don’t seal—nowhere to escape. The owner is dishonest, and the concierge is arrogant. We lost **800 €**.

When I set foot in La Paz, I was immediately struck by its bustling energy and striking contrasts. Perched at over 3,600 meters above sea level, the city blends tradition and modernity in a surprising way. We wandered between the colonial buildings of Plaza Murillo, discovered the secrets of the Witches’ Market with its mysterious potions and amulets, and gained some altitude thanks to the cable car, which offers incredible views of the city and the mountains. For thrill-seekers, we tested the famous Death Road by mountain bike—adrenaline was definitely on tap! Of course, the altitude can be a challenge, so in my article, I also share tips for acclimatizing, great places to stay, and detailed itineraries to make the most of your trip, whether you’re there for a day or three. Anyway, during our trip, we realized that the city is often used as a quick stopover where people don’t linger. And that’s a real shame. On Koh Phangan, I’d like to stay on the west/northwest side of the island (Koh Ma? Haad Khom?) Could you let me know what the water level is like there? Will we be able to swim during this period? Je reviens de la péninsule du Mexique, Je vais vous racontez le déroulement du voyage ainsi que quelques particularités de l'état du Yucatan vs les autres.

INTRODUCTION : Tout d'abord, sachez qu'il n'y a aucune restriction aussi bien pour l'allé que le retour en France. En effet, ce que les médiats racontent ne sont que pour vous faire peur. En effet, rapport au 1000 habitants, le Mexique a moins de cas d'infection comme de mort qu'en France... La police étant très présente et persuasive, croyez-moi que tout le monde porte le masque.

L'AVION : Dans les terminaux, il est possible de faire le test GRATUITEMENT avant le départ et aussi à l'arrivé en FRANCE. Le masque est obligatoire dans les aérogares ainsi que dans l'avion. Pour le Mexique, les avions sont remplis qu'entre 20 et 25%, aussi bien à l'allé qu'au retour. Ce qui rend le voyage très confortable car on peut utiliser les banquettes pour s'allonger. ATTENTION : il n’y a pas forcément de vols tous les jours en fonctions des compagnies.

YUCATAN : La police est omniprésente et des barrages filtrant à l'entrée et sortie des villes existent presque partout.

Sur les villes côtières de RIOS LAGARTOS et EL CUYO l'entrée dans la ville est INTERDITE. Il y en a peut-être d’autres mais je en l’ai pas vécu. La police n'autorise que les habitants à y rentrer et sortir... TOTALEMENT interdit, mais c'est comme ça... En fait se sont les habitant qui ont mis la pression sur la police pour que ce soit ainsi...

Sur les villes non côtières, vous aurez droit à une simple fouille mais si vous n'avez pas de programmes précis, ça va être un peu plus compliquer...

Dans mon cas, avec ma copine nous étions partis pour Holbox en partant de Mérida et la seule route est celle qui passe par TIZMIN. Comme nous sommes partis un peu tard et que nous avons vadrouillés un peu, il était tard, alors une fois arrivé à TIZIMIN, on se fait contrôler : D'où venez-vous, ou allez-vous, pourquoi, comment.... Ma copine qui est Mexicaine et avocate répond aux questions car je ne parle pas Espagnole. La police nous demande alors de nous mettre sur le côté... LE je sens que ça va durer un moment. Je comprends alors un peu la discussion et réserve un hôtel sur TIZMIN car nous n'aurions pas pu arriver pour le dernier bateau pour Holbox. La police demande alors si nous avons une réservation d'hôtel, qu'il faut qu'il voit avec son supérieur. Une fois la réservation passer, l'officier appel l'hôtel pour savoir si on a bien une réservation. Ok pour lui, mais appel son chef. En fait, ce que j'ai su par la suite de notre attente d'environs 45 mn, c'est que le chef de la police est allé vérifier sur place, à l'hôtel, que nous avions bien une réservation... Ma copine dans le dialogue stipule bien que c'est la seule route pour aller à Holbox, donc ils ne peuvent pas nous interdire de passer et aussi que le décret n'interdit pas la libre entrée dans les villes...

MAGASINS : Les grandes enseignes sont ouvertes mais avec des horaires restreints. Les petits commerçants, comme en France, beaucoup restent fermés. La vente d'alcool est interdite jusqu'au 1er Septembre... mais renouvelable

HOTELS : Les réductions sont complètement folles. Beaucoup font des réductions à 70-80%. Exemple vécu : Un hôtels en plein centre-ville de Mérida avec petit déjeuner coûte que 12€ par nuit... Vous pouvez trouver moins chère bien sûr mais aussi moins bien et pas aux même conditions...

Cela vous donne une idée de ce qui se passe dans le Yucatan

QUINTANA ROO : RAS, aucune restriction contrairement au Yucatan...

CONCLUSION : C’est une destination sans risque et pas chère. Comparer les prix d’avion entre air France et aeromexico.

Pour ma part, avec aeromexico, mon A/R a couté 550€ + le vol interne qui m’a couté environ 150€. Billet acheter 1 mois avant… et pour UN seul bagage en cabine. Les compagnies locales sont :

Point 18 aout: Ca y est c'est le deuxième hôtel par booking qui me dit qu'il va fermer et donc annule ma réservation pour octobre 2020. Au vu de ce qui se passe dans les pays voisins, j'ai annulé tous mes logements et il n'y aura plus qu'a attendre l'annulation pour le vol. L'asie en 2020 ça me paraît mort 😐

Très franchement, je me sens bien Suisse, et le monde ultra stressé des contraintes et restrictions me semble loin. Ici tout se gère avec calme et raison et ça fait du bien. Ni folies, ni excès. J'envisage de prolonger... Mon goût des curiosités exotiques me pousse vers un petit canton, à la capitale improbable, et je suis preneur d'un conseil : Uri ? Schwytz ? Glaris ?... Un autre ? je suis en thailande depuis le 1 er fev 2020 et suite au covid et une extention automatique des thaïlandais, mon billet émiraties ne servant à rien puisque la compagnie ne revient pas en thailande à l'heure d'aujourd'hui. j'ai donc acheté 2 billets pour ma femme et moi le 20 juillet pour le 31 juillet et depuis tout ce temps 7 jours les billets ne sont pas confirmés. LASTMINUTE.COM auprès desquels j'ai commandé mes billets et débités sur mon compte, fait le mort et ne répond pas à tous mes e-mails. quand je vais sur mon compte L.M.COM il m'est précisé qu'ils m'écriront quand le billet sera confirmé. je trouve un peu cavalier qu'ils ne répondent pas à mes courriers, pourtant L.M.COM est connu sur la place et je ne comprends pas cette incorrection de ne pas répondre. quand on téléphone on tombe toujours sur un répondeur. Cependant, auriez-vous des suggestions sur que faire en cas de pluie ? J'ai vu qu'il y avait la patinoire, la piscine... mais si nous étions malchanceux (cette année étant ce qu'elle est !!) ? Je pense que cela est compromis d'y aller en août, mais comme j'aimerai bientôt échanger les billets d'avion, est-il raisonnable de les programmer pour la deuxième quinzaine d'octobre 2020, ou vaut-il mieux les échanger pour le printemps 2021. Autre question, quelle serait la meilleure période pour y aller, automne (érables) ou printemps (cerisiers), sachant que je ne peux prendre que les vacances scolaires à cause de mes jeunes.
