bonjour à tous, de retour du fiesta beach de djerba. je n'ai jamais vu une plage aussi sale, les enfants ne pouvaient même pas se baigner à cause des algues. beaucoup trop d'algues, on faisait du pédalo, en sortant on avait des algues jusqu'au mollet une vrai décharge. sinon, l'hotel par lui même, très bruyant de la techno à gogo, musique berbere et très fort nourriture : moyen service de chambre : moyen service de serviette : on ne pouvait pas changer nos serviettes au moment voulu, on les déposait le soir avant 18h pour les avoir le lendemain matin 9h00, très déçu de la prestation. on a avait l'habitude d'aller à cuba, république dominicaine ce n'est pas comparable si vous souhaitez d'autres info, n'hésitez pas à me le demander. je ne comprends pas que personne dans ce forum n'a fait cette remarque pour cet hotel, je n'avait lu que du bien mais là je peux vous le confirmer il est nul !!!

J'ai déjà parcouru des messages sur le thème des hôtels à Istanbul. Mais, j'ose poser ma question : quel est l'hôtel conseillé à Istanbul pour un prix maximum de 60 euros environ en chambre double ? Un hôtel correct, peu bruyant et près des merveilles d'Istanbul (c'est vague !). Je précise que c'est mon premier séjour à Istanbul.

1°- La question a sans doute déjà été posée : quelqu’un pourrait-il me conseiller un hôtel ou une ghest house sympa (pas trop crade ni trop bruyant !) sur Bangkok. Je pensais au quartier de Kao San, notamment pour des questions de commodité. Pensez-vous qu’il soit nécessaire de réserver avant ? Nous arrivons à Bangkok en fin de soirée et je flippe déjà d'avance.

2°- Connaissez-vous le discovery Airpass de Bangkok Airways ? Faut-il l'acheter dans une agence de voyages sur place ou à Paris même ?

A ceux qui sont allés au Sunscape Casa Del Mar, suggérez-vous le 2ème ou 3ème étage.

Le gérant nous a réservé une chambre au 2ème étage dans le bloc 2. Nous avions demandé au 3ème, mais il nous a dit qu'au 3ème c'était plus bruyant, avec écho.

Par contre au 2ème, j'ai peur d'entendre les gens d'en haut marcher.

Nous sommes tentés par cet hôtel sur Promovacances sauf que la plage a l'air inexistante ?? Dans le commentaire de Promovac. on comprend que pour se baigner il faut aller se baigner à Cayo Leventado ?? qu'en est-il exactement ??

cet Hôtel est-il bruyant (musique toute la journée, etc... nous n'aimons pas les animations à outrance.....)

De plus où est-il situé exactement, près de Samana, de Las Terrenas, de Las Galeras ?? Quelles excursions possibles (en passant ou non par l'hôtel ..??)

bonne année aux internautes de forum voyage !! partant bientôt pour la thailande, je ne sais pas dans quel quartier de bankok passer la première nuit, je souhaite éviter le quartier "chaud" qui est aussi bruyant la nuit, je préfère un endroit plus calme (bon je sais que c'est la capitale mais bon...) et pas trop loin ou du métro ou du chao praya. si quelqu'un a une bonne adresse d'hotel ou de guest house, ce serait bien !🙂

Ce qu'il faut savoir........la capitale Santo domingo n, a pas grand chose a offrir....à part le mausolée avec la fausse dépouille de Colomb......!!!!!!!

Santo domingo et la côte sud jusque La Romana sont tres superficiels, bruyant et dangereux même........par contre je reccommande fortement la région de Las Terrenas, bcp plus calme, plus naturelle avec de superbes plages vierges....de gringos !! Pas de todo incluido mais une foule de petites auberges et restos tres sympas et vraimant pas chers....C'est a dire...possibilit�� de vivre avec 30, 00$CAN/jour logement et repas.......Qui dit mieux ?🙂

Hi, Which neighborhood should I choose in Cairo? From what I understand, Giza is close to the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, but there isn’t much else to do in the evening. Zamalek seems pretty quiet with plenty of restaurants. Basically, I’m looking for a calm neighborhood (if that exists!) where I can stroll around safely and grab a bite to eat in the evening. Hi everyone, here’s a little trip report from San José del Guaviare, in the Guaviare department of Colombia.

First, the journey: an overnight bus from Bogotá. The bus terminal is a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport (30,000 COP). The bus company that goes down to San José is Flota Macarena, located in sector 2 of the terminal. The bus terminal is big, with plenty of places to eat and lots of little shops. The bus seats are pretty small but manageable—comfortable enough. We left at 10:30 PM and arrived around 7:00 AM the next morning.

First thing to note: the center of San José, right by the river, is really dirty, noisy, and not very pleasant. We stayed at Hotel Malecon, by the river, where the Malecon promenade is supposed to be the nice spot to walk along the river. Well, no—it’s completely abandoned, with trash everywhere. The hotel itself is in what we nicknamed the "scrap metal district," since that’s pretty much all you see—scrap yards and garages. Not exactly pleasant and kind of sketchy at first glance. A room with AC and a balcony at Hotel Malecon costs 120,000 COP per night. For one night, it was fine since we hadn’t booked anything in advance. After that, we moved to an Airbnb in the neighborhood with the soccer stadium—a really nice and quiet area. The little tip here is that there’s a pool behind the stadium—8,000 COP to swim, and there’s a bar right across the street. Honestly, it’s great to have a place to cool off because it was *really* hot in San José.

Now, let’s talk about the main attraction here: the natural sites. We visited Puerta de Orión (free entry, but the guide—mandatory—costs 10,000 COP per person), the natural pools (15,000 COP entry), Balneario La Lindosa (5,000 COP to swim), and Las Delicias waterfall (10,000 COP)—that last one was our favorite. The sites are really cool, and I’d definitely recommend visiting them. It’s pure nature out there.

For accommodations, a lot of places are located outside San José, near the tourist sites. At first, we wanted to stay out there, but without a car, it’s a real hassle. So if you’re not driving, stick to San José.

Getting to all these sites by taxi costs around 30,000 COP one way, except for Las Delicias waterfall, which is farther away—70,000 COP one way. Taxis within the urban area of San José cost 6,000 COP. The bus from San José to Villavicencio with Flota Macarena costs 78,000 COP and takes between 5 and 6 hours.

To wrap up, our 5 days in San José were really great. We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the people there are—it really stands out.

So if you’re looking for a spot that’s still off the mass-tourism radar, come here! It’s nice, and there are plenty of other sites we didn’t get to see.

Hi everyone, I’m so happy 🙂 to be traveling again after 5 years without a trip. I’m heading back to Costa Rica for 18 days from December 12th to 30th with a friend. We’re doing San José-Sarapiquí (2 nights), then Sarapiquí-Tortuguero (3 nights), then from Tortuguero heading to the Cahuita and Puerto Viejo area. We’ll spend about ten days in that region, then make a 2-day stop somewhere before flying back out of San José. From what I’ve read on this blog, Puerto Viejo seems like the "rasta," party-friendly spot, which is honestly the kind of place I tend to avoid—too touristy. I’m looking for places surrounded by beautiful nature. I’ve already spent several weeks in Drake Bay (in 2019 and 10 years before that) and loved it. My friend also wants to visit the Bri Bri. Could you recommend some authentic spots in this southern Caribbean area? Your favorite places—whether it’s sights to see, accommodations, or even your favorite little restaurants 😛? Hi everyone! I’m reaching out because we’re planning a trip to Thailand next year (around March/April), and we’d like to visit Chiang Mai and then Krabi, plus a few islands near Krabi. We’ve been to Thailand before, 10 years ago, and this time, we’d just like to focus on 5 days in Chiang Mai and 10–12 days in the Krabi area. I’ll admit, I’m really struggling to pick an island near Krabi. We hated Phi Phi: dirty, noisy, and the food was gross… such a letdown! Which island would you recommend for snorkeling, nature walks, and beautiful beaches? Maybe we could also make a stop between Chiang Mai and Krabi—perhaps Sukhothai? - Est-ce qu'ils existent des campings "longue-durée" où nous pourrions avoir un prix au mois et non à la nuit? - Quels coins nous conseillez-nous? - La voiture est-elle nécessaire où existe-t'il un système de bus pour aller dans différents endroits de l'île?

Bonjour, je suis sur le point de réserver mes billets pour Toulouse/Figari Sud Corse au mois d'août ; en janvier les prix sont très intéressants. Ils précisent bien le vol sur AIRBUS A320 mais j'ai peur que la compagnie ensuite bascule sur un ATR, car l'année dernière ils n'y avait que des ATR en réservation de janvier, et je ne souhaite vraiment pas cet avion. Est-ce que quelqu'un a été dans ce même cas de réservation en janvier ? Je ne pense pas qu'ils modifient mais j'ai quand-même un doute....
