Mon plus grand espoir est de me rendre au parc Corcovado mais je me demandais si l'accès y était difficile..nous voyageons en bus et sommes là-bas pour 3 semaines!

Je serai au Népal au mois de novembre et nous partons quelques jours pour le Chitwan National Parc. Beaucoup de "formule" sont possibles. Est-ce que 2 jours sur place sont suffisants ou est-ce qu'au contraire 4 jours 3 nuits est le mieux?

NOus partons cet été pour 6 semaines en Equateur et nous sommes un peu perdus en ce qui concerne l'Amazonie.

Nous aimerions voir les parcs d'Ayuni et de Cuyabeno (faune flore - communautés indigènes - descente des rios en pirogue..)

Mais faut-il passer par des agences?

Si oui quelles agences sérieuses me conseillez-vous?

Faut-il réserver depuis Quito ou ..?

Et résa longtemps à l'avance???

Aussi au sujet du parc Similipar, le LP dit qu'on le visite en véhicule...est-ce parce que les animaux y vivent en liberté? ou bien simplement que le parc est grand...ou autre raison?...

Moi, ce que je veux est de visiter tranquillement, certains secteurs, et ne pas acheter des 'tours' luxueux...et prendre photos...

Il ne semble pas si évident que ça de partir en randonnée seul, afin d'être tranquille, au besoin, à l'ombre de la forêt..(en Inde).Qu'en penses-tu? Crois-tu que c'est possible?

Il s'agit du parc Bahia de Naranjo. Il se situe à quel distance des hotels? Qu'est-ce

je prépare prochainement un voyage pour l'Idonésie dans le but de réaliser un reportage sur les ourang -outans j'aurai souhaité des informations à propos des parcs sur l'île de sumatra qui propose d'aller à la rencontre de ces grands singes.

Est-il possible d'y aller sans guide y a t-il des chemins balisés ou est il possible de recuperer des cartes.

Si il est nécessaire de prendre un guide quels sont les tarifs.

Quels parcs valent vraiment le détour au niveau de la faune et de flore.

Si il y a des femmes qui sont déjà partit seule làbas j'aurai bien voulu quelques de leur témoignages

Hi everyone, although I’m still in love with Madagascar, I feel I must report the unacceptable behavior of some guides in Antalaha. I know I’m responsible—I obviously shouldn’t have paid in advance for a service at this price. As someone who usually travels on a budget, I treated myself to a fully guided experience for once. I was charged 1,500,000 ariary for a 4-day trek between Antalaha and Maroantsetra. In reality, it was a total scam: terrible logistics, a motorbike taxi that abandoned us along the way (I’m not sure if the guide arranged this just to squeeze out a bit more money), basic Malagasy bush meals—which I expected since I know the country well—but the hotels were absolutely disgusting: mouse droppings in the bed, no way to get a blanket, cigarette butts on the floor, and of course, no water. I had warned them that at 73 years old, I needed a bit of comfort and some consideration—that’s why I paid this price. In the end, to arrive a day early and get home faster, on the second day we walked from 5:30 AM to 4:30 PM with just a long siesta break at 1 PM. The park visit was nonexistent—I would’ve liked to see a lemur! Anyway, be especially wary of Sylvano. He’s apparently the head of the guides in Antalaha and organized this "charming" trip for me. He canceled the day before and sent his replacement, Théophile. This poor guy kept complaining that tourists were scarce. I didn’t tell him everything I was thinking when we parted ways—it would’ve taken too long. So, remember these two names: Sylvano and Théophile. The official rate is 800,000 ariary, and even that is way too much given the quality of the accommodations and food. I’ve marked the guides’ office location on Google Maps to deal with them directly, but it seems the mafia is well-organized here…

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.

This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?

I’ve spotted two short hikes: - East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop - West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop

Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

Hi there, My trip to South Africa is starting to take shape. However, I'm struggling to figure out the route through Kruger Park. I can't seem to find the information I need about getting around. Coming from the south, I plan to arrive on Day 1 in the early afternoon at Malelane or Crocodile Bridge. Do some shopping in Malelane (or Crocodile Bridge main area) and stay overnight outside the park. Leave on Day 2 at 5 AM for the park. Explore the southern part of the park. Stay overnight around Skukuza or Lower Sabie. (We don’t want to stay in one of the park’s big camps. We’re looking for a lodge around 200 €. Head out on Day 3 for a self-drive safari, maybe as far as Orpen. We’d like to stay in a private reserve on nights 4 and 5. We’re not sure which one or how to get into a private reserve. Do we need to exit Kruger Park? On Day 5, we’d like to leave to visit Blyde Canyon (on Day 6).

Could you help us with these different locations?

So far, there’s been no response from the central government to curb these repeated armed attacks—usually between Malagasy people, but this time targeting foreign tourists.

Hi there, we’re planning to visit part of Zhangjiajie Park in one day soon. We’re staying in Wellington the night before. My question is about which entrance ticket to get on trip.com. They offer either just the ticket or a combo with the ticket, elevator, and cable car for Tianzi Mountain—not just the entrance and elevator. I’m a bit lost. :)

We want to make the most of the day, starting right when the park opens. If you have a recommended route, that’d be great. I’ve also heard to double-check the shuttle buses inside the park. Anyway, I’m not sure whether to start with the cable car or the elevator.

I’ve lived in Savoie long enough to tell you one thing: Vanoise National Park isn’t just a pretty postcard. Here, nature is vast, untamed, and incredibly alive. Whether you're visiting for a holiday or live in a nearby valley, here are my top picks you shouldn’t miss.

Sleeping in a mountain hut—the best way to experience the mountains

Hiking in Vanoise National Park is already magical, but spending a night in a refuge? That’s sacred. I recommend the glacier tour, a 4- to 7-day trek with stops at huts like L’Arpont, Dent Parrachée, or Leisse. The food’s great, you’ll meet other hikers, and in the early morning, when the sun lights up the peaks, I guarantee you won’t be thinking about your emails. Even a single night at Refuge du Fond d’Aussois or La Valette is enough to unplug.

High-altitude lakes: when the peaks reflect in the water

High-altitude lakes are a bit like my madeleine de Proust. I love climbing up early in the morning when everything’s still quiet. Lac Blanc, starting from Termignon, is a pretty accessible hike, often punctuated by the whistling of marmots. Wilder, Lac de la Glière near Champagny-en-Vanoise is one of my favorite spots for a picnic far from everything.



Glacial valleys—my breath of fresh air

I often go there to reconnect with the mountains, especially when I want a spectacular setting without hours of climbing. The Orgère valley, starting from Saint-André in Maurienne, is a gem. Easy to access, super wild, with its Swiss pine trees and singing streams... You’re instantly immersed in the alpine atmosphere. A little higher up, from Val Cenis/Termignon, I recommend the Cirque du Génépy. It’s an old glacial landscape just the way we love it: rocks smoothed by ice, near-total silence, and a real sense of the end of the world.

Glacier mountaineering at the heart of the ice

For the more athletic (and always with a guide, of course), climbing the Grande Casse, 3,855 m, remains a legendary goal. I’ve only done it once, but what a rush! You’ll need crampons, an ice axe, and good fitness, but the view up there is indescribable. There are also more accessible glacial routes around Pointe de la Réchasse or the Dôme de Chasseforêt.

Gateways to Vanoise National Park

Bonneval-sur-Arc... this little village perched at 1,835 meters, I never get tired of it. It’s kept its charm: stone houses, slate roofs, fountains... It’s simple, everything’s beautiful. It’s also a great base for hiking in the park. And then there’s Pralognan-la-Vanoise, my favorite gateway. It’s a mountain village just the way I like them—quiet streets, typical chalets, and above all, direct access to incredible landscapes.

A little request for help from those who’ve stayed in Sedona—we’ll have almost 3 full days there. I’ve done some research on different sites, but I’m still confused.

It seems that some spots require, in addition to the America the Beautiful Pass (which we’ll already have from the start of our road trip), the Red Rock Day Pass since they’re within Red Rock State Park. This would be for park and parking lot maintenance.

Here are the hikes we’re eyeing: Boynton Canyon, Devil’s Bridge, Birthday Cave, Airport Mesa, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and Crescent Moon Ranch.

We won’t be able to do all of them—we’ll have to choose 🤔 and cut some 😢.

On top of that, there are the two scenic drives: Red Rock Scenic Byway and Oak Creek Scenic Drive.

Does the America the Beautiful Pass cover everything, or do we also need the Red Rock Day Pass? And if we do, which hikes require it?

Barcelonnette? Or split my time between both to access different areas of the park and avoid too much driving? Also, are there hikes in lush, flower-filled valleys (like alpine meadows)? Hi, I’m heading to Thailand (first time!) in a week. We planned to be in Khao Sok National Park on February 1st and 2nd. I got a message yesterday saying it wouldn’t be possible to do any activities on Lake Chiew Lan as planned because of “weather conditions.” Despite all my research, I can’t find any info that supports this. Does anyone have recent updates? Is it really impossible to visit the lake, and if so, are there any alternatives? They’re offering a walk to Bang Hua Rad waterfall instead. Any thoughts? We’re really disappointed—the lake looked amazing 😢

Bonjour, n'ayant pas trouvé d'info, je pose la question...en légère urgence. J'ai vu que le Vésuve proposait 9 rando, dont certaines assez costaudes dont une de 900m de dénivelé et 14bornes je crois. Or, je suis à Naples, et je ne trouve pas de carte. Celle du site internet du parc du Vésuve n'est qu'un schéma. Quelqu'un aurait une solution pour moi? Notamment la route n°6 La lungo la strada matrone ? Avec un départ au bout de la Via Cifelli. Est ce que c'est assez balisé pour s'y lancé sans réelle carte? Mon compagnon et moi prévoyons des vacances d'une semaine dans le parc des écrins en septembre. Nous aimerions y faire 3 jours de randonnée en s'arrêtant dans les refuges. Nous sommes des bons marcheurs mais pas des alpinistes (6 h de marche par jour me semble bien).

J'ai trouvé cette boucle là : "Trois jours de randonnée dans le parc national des Ecrins au départ de Bourg d'Arud. Cap vers le lac et le col de la Muzelle, Valsenestre, le lac de Labarre, la cabane de la Selle, le col de la Brèche et le lac de Lauvitel." Qu'en pensez vous ? Avez vous autre chose à proposer ?

Bonjour à tous, notre petit Trip avance plus que bien mais je sèche sur une partie. J'aurais besoin de vos lumières ! Nous partons donc en Février 2021 à 5, ( 2 adultes et 3 enfants de 14, 9, 6 ans, ) nous allons louer une voiture.

Nos 5 premiers jours vont se passer à Québec ça c'est fait et réservé ! Ensuite nous partons pour la vallée Bras Nord pour 2 jours fait et réservé ! Puis Trois rivières pour 2 jours, Fait et réservé ! Et après nous aimerions partir vers le Parc Oméga, mais nous voudrions faire une halte de 1 ou 2 jours mais ou ? alors là je sèche…. auriez vous des idées ?

Sachant que nous avons déjà prévu comme activité : - Traineau à chien, - Balade en raquettes, - Cabane à sucre, - Patin à glace, - Glissades. Puis le parc Omega et terminer 3 jours à Montréal puis départ pour Paris le lendemain.

Voilà en gros je n'ai pas détaillé étapes par étapes il y a bien sur les visites des villes, des chutes, traversée du St Laurent, les réserves…..
