Transport to the city centre
The airport is connected to the city centre, particularly Rabat-Ville train station, by a shuttle costing 20 Dh (approx. 2 €). Expect to pay around 150 Dh (13 €) for a taxi.
Other nearby airports
Casablanca, with its multiple Royal Air Maroc connections to European and other countries, is 110 kilometres from the capital. It is Rabat-Salé’s main competitor and the reason for its moderate traffic.
Airlines and destinations
Rabat is served by regular or low-cost flights from around ten cities, plus a few seasonal routes.
Domestic
Agadir is the only Moroccan airport served from Rabat by Air Arabia.
Europe
This accounts for almost all regular traffic, with the main routes being:
- England: London (RAM, Ryanair).
- Belgium: Brussels (RAM, TUI) + Charleroi (Ryanair).
- Spain: Girona (Ryanair) + Madrid (Air Nostrum, Ryanair).
- France: Beauvais (Ryanair) + Marseille (RAM, Ryanair) + Paris CDG (Air France, TUI) + Paris Orly (TUI, Transavia).
Choosing your flight
From France
- Price range: 150 €–400.
- Flight duration (direct): 3h00 to 3h30.
Except from the Paris region, the limited service to the capital often makes arriving via Casablanca a better option.
From elsewhere
The same applies, except for Belgium, where there are more options via Casablanca.
