Nature-Adventure
From the vast expanses of the north Mexico to the jungles of Petén, via the volcanoes of the central cordillera, Costa Rican parks, or the islands off the Panamanian coast, Central America offers a superb and diverse sample of nature, ranging from wild to more accessible. Almost everywhere, you can enjoy it extensively, with a good selection of nature-adventure activities on offer.
Culture
Central America is also a land of culture. The region stretching from central Mexico to northern Honduras is rich in pre-Columbian sites, and colonial-era landmarks are still numerous in places like Mexico. Additionally, specific local cultures and traditions remain very much alive, particularly in Mexico, Guatemala, and Panama.
Relaxation-Holidays
Almost every country in the region has developed some form of beach tourism, perfect for those seeking relaxation by the sea. However, Mexico, with its Riviera Maya or Pacific coast resorts, offers by far the most opportunities.
