Nature-Adventure
While not as spectacular as in other countries, Greece’s nature and landscapes remain pleasant and diverse. You’re constantly between the sea and mountains, even on some islands like Crete. This makes it easy to mix outdoor activities, though for more demanding ones (trekking, skiing, rafting, climbing), the mainland is the best choice.
Culture
The cradle of ancient Greek civilization, the country is still packed with sites, monuments, and museums from or referencing that era, both on the mainland and the islands (Delos, Crete, etc.). But Greece’s history and culture aren’t limited to that distant period. Other places like Météores, Mount Athos, or the island of Patmos with their monasteries, Corfu and Rhodes with their old towns, Santorini with its unique architecture, and Athens with its monuments and museums will delight cultural travelers, among many other spots.
Relaxation-Holidays
This is Greece’s image, or at least that of its islands. The sea, beaches, relaxation, tranquility—or, on the contrary, nightlife—are all part of the experience, making the country one of Europe’s top destinations for this type of trip for decades.
Independent Travel
Greece is an easy destination for independent travel, perfect for beginners, and doesn’t pose any problems.
Organized Travel
Like most European destinations, Greece is primarily set up for specific experiences rather than discovery circuits, which travelers usually arrange themselves, sometimes booking à la carte services. In short, you’ll mostly find all-inclusive offers, cruises, villa or apartment rentals, and occasionally hiking tours or honeymoon trips.

This formula is obviously very common and varied along the coast and on the islands. As always, if you’re only looking for a sedentary beach holiday, it’s worth checking out these offers, especially during promotions. In fact, the price of these packages can be very attractive, sometimes even making the "flight + hotel" cost almost identical to a simple standalone flight to the destination.
