Voyage au Yémen possible en ce moment?

Bonjour à tous,Nous sommes un couple qui aimons voyager en indépendant, nous réalisons actuellement un tour du monde et souhaitons le finir avec le Yémen. Le site du MAE donne la chair de poule, qu'en est-il réellement de la situation sur place? Est-il possible de se rendre au Yémen en ce moment? Est-ce que la situation est, comme souvent, fortement exagérée ou plutôt fidèle à la réalité?
Les posts de 2013 sont plutôt encourageants, mais rien d'actuel depuis sur le forum.
Est-ce que des voyageurs ou résidents pourraient nous informer sur le sujet?Merci à tous pour votre aide,Celine & David

Je ne suis pas allée au Yemen récemment et n'y suis pas résidente. Mais je consulte régulièrement les infos sur ce pays qui m'a beaucoup touchée lors d'un précédent voyage. La situation politique est très instable avec des attentats dispersés dans tout le pays, des factions tribales en guerre, un gouvernement central contesté, ce qui rend difficile les déplacements. Déjà il y a 7 ans, c'était assez compliqué avec l'obligation de demander des autorisations chaque fois qu'on bougeait. Je devais repartir à Socotra, il y a deux ans et une semaine avant mon départ des français ont été assassinés.
Peut-être devriez-vous interroger directement l'ambassade du Yemen à Paris ?
A l'opposé, le pays voisin, Sultanat d'Oman, est très sûr et magnifique du Nord au Sud.

Je reve de me rendre au Yemen depuis quelques années.Je devais partir il y a deux ans mais je n'ai jamais réussi à obtenir le visa de l'ambassade de France. Il faut maintenant passé par une agence local pour l'obtenir.Concernant les français tué je pense que c'etait au Yemen, peut etre devrais tu prévoir d'aller à Socotra pour finir ton voyage... je pense que la bas il n'y a aucun probleme de sécurité ?

dear celinedufouri will answer in english as my french is even worst than my english :-)i travel to yemen since 7 years. sometimes even twice a year. while until 2010 i could get a visa on arrival, now you have to book a tour trough a (local) travel agency. actually it is good, because there are some areas where tourists can´t go. for example in sanaa. at my last visit in 2013 we still could go to hadda area and visit one of the good restaurants. it is the area where are the foreign companies and embassys too. but lately this is the hotspot for kidnappings. so you should not go there ! same tahrir. a company who cares about the life of it´s tourist would not take you there or to risky areas anymore.
sadly i could see in tripadvisor that one agency dont care about the tourists and do everything to make money. one agency is taking tourists to the area which is closed for tourism: hadramaout. they have to fake the papers, otherwhiles it is not possible to bring a foreigner, who is not a muslim, there. it is actually also stupid from the tourists that they want to go there...... i mean, just imagene, all the embasys already have a travel warning for all yemen.
the yemen goverment still let tourists come, but closed some areas for tourists, because they think it is too dangerous.
and people still try to find a way to go there. it is just a matter of time until something will happen there again.... and it definetly will because people don´t accept that there are "no go´s" in yemen.but back to your question: yes, you can go to yemen at the moment. but try to find an agency who care about your safety ! the once who say: ya, no problem, everything is ok, all the bad news are just propaganda etc. - dont listen to them ! since 2010 i book my tours trough mohammed from unexplored-destinations.
i wanted to travel there next week, but he don´t organize me a tour these days ! he sayd, i should wait, until the situation calm down. he sayd, if i only go to sanaa and socotra, i can come, but for other areas he want to wait a bit longer. so, i wrote to other agencys, and noone mentioned anything about a problem or that i should wait some more weeks to see what is going on. as i want to travel in haraz mountain and not only sanaa and socotra, i will wait for his ok to come. i feel safe travelling with him, because he put the safety for his tourists over the profit..........yemen is a georgeous country ! the people, the architecture & the nature is amazing !!! with every trip i love it more and more. anyway, if someone have a question about yemen - feel free to send me a message

Merci licancabur pour ces precisions tres justes !J ai ete a socotra en avril 2014, une ile qui nous a semble tres securitaire pendant nos 12 jours de voyage. Malgre les enlevements et quelques morts au yemen, nous avons decide de passer une journee a sanaa, nous avons vu la zone dont parle licancabur des embassades qui semble assez problematique mais old sanaa est splendide, nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis en insecurite.Nous avons vu quelques images du yemen qui nous a envoute, nous y retournerons quand la situation dans le reste dupays sera un peu plus calme. Si vous souhaitez rester sur pld sanaa, je ne vois pas de contre indication particuliere, si vous recherchez une experience unique, des batiments qui ont 3000 ans et ressentir une ambiance particuliere, allez y !
