Nous sommes deux à partir pour l'Australie en juin 2007 (à Sydney) et ceci pour 12 mois que nous espérons magiques. Je suis friand de toutes informations relatives à la location d'un appartement (il nous en faut absolument un au plus tard début juillet 2007 sinon c'est sous les ponts...) ainsi qu'aux démarches pour trouver un job (dans le cadre d'un WHV) et bien sûr à l'acquisition d'un véhicule d'occasion. Je sais c'est vaste comme demande mais je suis ouvert à toutes informations qui va m'aider à faire de cette expérience une expérience mémorable (dans le bon sens du teme bien sûr)...

Il faudrait penser plus à des auberges au départ, si vous louez quelques depuis la France vous pourriez avoir des surprises 😕 M'enfin pas toujours qu'en même!

Nous voulions allez sur Brisbane à l'origine mais avons opté pour Sydney dans un premier temps. Comment est la ville de Brisbane, elle te plait, question boulot et appart c'est facile ?

Concernant l'Australie, le pays connaît actuellement une croissance économique presque inconnue dans l'histoire du pays. Par conséquent, le taux de chômage est bas et il y a une pénurie de travailleurs dans plusieurs secteurs. Le prix de logement est devenu de plus en plus cher (grâce à l'économie) sur tout sur Sydney qui se trouve au plan mondial parmi les villes les plus chères du monde. Je sais bien que pour les touristes Sydney occupe le premier rang, mais franchement si tu as l'intention sérieuse de t'installer dans une ville australienne pour une année je te conseille de changer d'avis et de choisir une ville moins chère - Melbourne, Adélaïde ou Brisbane. Heureusement, grâce aux tarifs aériens low cost il n'est pas cher de visiter Sydney de temps en temps pour bénéficier des attractions de la ville.
Brisbane est une ville assez dynamique comme dit Chaucer "l'economie est en plein boum". Cela dit, ça depend ce que tu recherches comme boulot et comment se situe ton anglais...
Dire que Brisbane est moins cher que Sydney, c'est exact cependant les loyers augmentent constamment! Pour preuve tu trouveras à l'heure actuelle dans le secteur où j'habite (soit nord à 15 mn de la ville en voiture) pour 1 appart ou petite maison collée à une autre (ou unit comme ils appellent ça ici) contenant 2 chambre, garage et jardin (pas tjs qu'en même) pour 260 $ la semaine, sans compter electricite, gaz, l'eau en général n'est pas à payer, m'enfin maintenant ils sont en train de négocier l'idée...🤪
Du boulot moi j'en ai trouvé parce que j'avais de l'expérience dans mon domaine (c'est à dire : le developpement photo😛) et oui quand il s'agit de prendre quelqu'un pour 3 mois (vu que le whv est limité à 3 mois) de le former et autre, c'est pas très rentable pour un employeur...
Voilà, sinon Brisbane, c'est bien : le soleil bien chaud presque toute l'année (sauf maintenant...😕), la gold coast et la sunshine coast pas loin...C'est très relax, j'adore mes tongs!
C'est assez sympas de se balader tranquile dans les rues du cbd. Les gens sont agréables parfois un peu trop lay back, du genre tu viens pour acheter ton pain dans les "brumbys" et ils ne te calculent même pas : trop occupé à papoter avec leur collègue ahhaahhha
Pour Sydney, j'y suis allée en Touriste et c'est une ville bien sympas mais un peu trop "busy" à mon goût, c'est à voir c'est sur mais en touriste...
Perth, effectivement je recommande, je rêve d'y aller! Plus isolé certe mais c'est ce qui en fait son charme! Et puis là c'est plus un boum c'est un double boum!
Il est clair que si on se rend compte sur place que se loger est très cher on bougera de ville. Nous souhaitons tout de même y rester un peu dans le cadre d'une colloc ou autre.
De toute façon, question logement en france je pense qu'on est bien au dessus de leur niveau donc de se côté là je ne me fais pas de soucis même si, avec le job, ce sont les 2 sujets les plus importants à notre arrivée.
Après je pense que ce sera Melbourne. Je ne sais pas comment est la ville, mais mon amie a un entretien avec une filliale de son entreprise...
En tout état de cause, le but est de changer d'air, de voir autre chose, de rencontrer des gens et de passer une année bien différente de ce que l'on a pu vivre jusqu'à maintenant dans notre triste banlieue parisienne (ou le m² avoisine les 10.000 euros à certains endroits... et ou le ciel est gris).

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
