Hi, We’re planning to go to Bohol from El Nido (Airswift flight from El Nido to Cebu, then ferry to Bohol). I can’t find any info about the checked baggage price for the flight. The airfare to Cebu includes a 7 kg carry-on. Does anyone know about checked luggage? Thanks in advance

Hi there,

I’ve been living in Cebu for quite a few years now, so I know how this works. For AirSWIFT, **don’t wait until you’re at the check-in counter**—the excess baggage fee there is super high (often over 200 PHP per kilo).

Your best bet is to go to their website under the "Manage Booking" section with your flight reference. You can add a baggage package (10kg or 20kg) there. For pre-booking, expect around 400 to 500 PHP for 10kg—it’s way more budget-friendly.

A little logistical tip for later: leave plenty of time between landing in Cebu and your ferry to Bohol (Pier 1). Crossing the city can take forever with traffic.

If you’re looking for more info to expand your horizons in the Visayas, feel free to ask!

Safe travels! !

Good evening,

Thanks for the info and tips. I ended up booking our tickets with Cebu Pacific.

Have a good evening

Hi, I’ve read there are quite a few issues with Airswift. Is it worse than Cebu Pacific Air? Cebu Pacific canceled my Cebu-San Vicente flight in March, and I’m not sure what to replace it with. Apparently, San Vicente airport is no longer served. Cebu Pacific only offers Puerto Princesa as an exchange option, or else I’d have to request a refund and book another ticket. Since I’ll be in Siquijor for a few days, I could take a flight from Bohol (though they’re more expensive than from Cebu). Alternatively, I was thinking of going through Dumaguete and then traveling up the east coast of Cebu Island by road to Cebu. I’m not sure if there are buses. I think I read that it’s a scenic route. What do you think? If you have any tips, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!
