je recherche un chauffeur pour le nord vietnam (sapa et ses environs) pour 4 jours. Quels sont les tarifs et comment en trouver un?

Pour aller où ? Quel mois ? En 4 jours, vous n'allez pas voir beaucoup à 35 km/h de moyenne et auucune conduite de nuit !
Pour aller dans le nord vietnam. IL nous faudrait un chauffeur sur place car nous arriverons par le train le lundi 21 octobre et nous repartirons par le bus le jeudi 24 octobre. Nous avons déjà réservé le logement. De plus nous cherchons aussi un chauffeur pour la région de hué, da nang et hoi an environ 3,4 jours. Nous n'avons pas encore bien défini notre trajet nous restons 15 jours au vietnam. Et nous souhaitons aussi aller 2,3 jours dans la baie d'along.

J'ai utilisé les services d'Alain tant sur place que pour aller à Hoi An et nous avons été très satisfaits , nous a procuré aussi des vélos , nous a bien conseillé sur des endroits moins connus (notre 3ème séjour dans cette ville) . Bon voyage Eric

Merci à Hénon 21 et larsay. C'est toujours instructif. Vous qui semblez connaitre le pays pourriez-vous me dire comment se rendre de hanoi à TU long. Est-il préférable d'aller dans la baie de Tu Long sur l'île de quai lan ou sur l'île de cat ba. Nous ne dormirons pas sur une pagode (le prix est trop dissuasif) mais je sais qu'il existe des croisière à la journée beaucoup plus abordable.
Ensuite pour le nord du vietnam, région de sapa j'ai lu qu'il fallait un guide pour se promener dans les rizières car seul c'est dangereux et pas possible donc un chauffeur ne suffira pas. Autre question. Nous voulons nous rendre à coc ly et nous dormons à sapa. Est-ce faisable dans la journée ou faut-il couper le trajet. Je n'ai pas trop la notion des distances et surtout du temps qu'il faut.
Pour finir, j'ai un dilemme. Voilà il y a un bus qui part de Sapa à 13h00 et qui arrive théoriquement à 18h00 à l'aéroport de Hanoi. Et moi je voudrais prendre un avion pour Hué dans la foulée pour ne pas perdre trop de temps. Sauf que l'avion part à 19h30. Pensez-vous que c'est jouable ou que c'est trop risqué? Les bus sont ils à l'heure dans ce pays ou ont ils souvent beaucoup de retard?

Pour le bus venant de Sapa pour l'aéroport, la marge est trop juste, en cas de crevaison ou de problèmes sur la route vous serez en retard pour l'enregistrement et l'embarquement...mieux vaut partir le matin pour être sur d'avoir ce vol ou de prendre un transport privé en partant avant midi...mais çà a un prix

Coc Ly, le jour du marché est le mardi, il y a des tours depuis Sapa, à voir avec votre hôtel ou maison d'hôte, possible en une journée, 2h30 de route aller. Idem pour les randonnées, l'hôtel ou la maison d'hôte vous procurera un guide, de plus il y a plein d'agences à Sapa qui offrent ces services, pas besoin de chauffeur...le petits déplacements se font très bien en taxi ou en moto bike...reste à définir ce que vous souhaitez faire sur place.

Désolé je ne peux me prononcer connaissant que très peu la baie de Tu Long et pas du tout Quan Lan que je devais faire en Juin . Mais j'ai préféré une autre option n'ayant pas flashé sur Quan Lan . Coucher sur une Pagode ??? cela doit être effectivement très très cher😉 vous vouliez écrire "coucher sur une Jonque" !!! Dans ce cas Cat Ba serait une bonne base de départ. Sa Pa avec un guide : effectivement je trouve cela préférable car un bon guide vous fera prendre les chemins les moins fréquentés et surtout sera un bon interprète lors de vos rencontres avec les ethnies même si elles se mettent à l'anglais de plus en plus : business oblige . Pour Coc Ly que vous tenez à faire , si cela est pour le marché n’oubliez pas qu'il a lieu que le mardi . De Sa Pa Google indique 93,5 km et 2h20 de trajet , cela me surprend un peu car je compte plus du 30km/h avec les arrêts photos . Cela vous demandera donc un départ matinal ou effectivement une étape au plus près de cette ville . Pour le Bus de retour Sa Pa - Aéroport de Hanoï cela me semble risqué . Il faut tenir compte des retards éventuels du départ du bus, de la route et ses aléas comme les accidents, les éboulis éventuels et enfin les risques d' embouteillages , heureusement l'aéroport est avant la capitale . Le trajet durant 5H soit 300' , un retard de 10% et il ne vous restera que 1h00 pour sortir du car, récupérer vos bagages éventuels , atteindre le comptoir d'enregistrement et vous faire inscrire avant la clôture. Cela peut passer : pile ou face .

Et bien pour commencer nous irons visiter la région de Sapa du lundi 21 oct au matin au mercredi 23 oct soit 3 jours. nous repartirons de Sapa le jeudi après-midi vers 13 ou 15h00 en bus couchette certainement ou le mercredi soir dans la nuit. Mais 3 jours suffiront-ils pour visiter ce que nous voulons dans la région du nord.? Ou alors vaut-il mieux partir le lendemain après midi soit le jeudi. Nous voudrions aller le mardi à Coc ly, ce qui nous prendra déjà un jour et ensuite voir les rizières autour de sapa, mu can chai avec la route des photographes, Ta van, Hau Thao et Lao chai. Je ne sais pas trop comment m'organiser pour gagner un maximum de temps. Nous irons donc certainement sur l'île de cat ba car à défaut de dormir sur une jonque et pas une pagode( erreur de mon précédent message) nous aimerions quand même faire une croisière la journée dans la baie. Sauf que j'ai lu que cat ba était super polluée et que le week-end c'était assez surchargé hors si je compte bien nous partirions théoriquement le vendredi pour y passer 2 jours soit le wee-end. Autre possibilité aller directement le vendredi matin sur Hué ou alors rester sur hanoi pour 2 jours. Nous ne serons au vietnam que pour 15 jours et nous voulons aussi visiter hoi an danang et la baie terrestre.... Vaste programme.J e ne sais pas si cela est possible mais bon vous allez peut-être m'aiguiller.
Merci encore de toutes vos infos, car chaque année je prépare un voyage et j'avoue que sur le vietnam les infos sont difficiles à trouver si on ne veut pas avoir un guide en permanence. On a l'impression que l'on ne peut rien faire seul... Effectivement s' il y a des propositions au niveau de notre logement c'est plus simple mais le coup ne sera-t-il pas supérieur que par votre guide?

A vous lire , il y a beaucoup de confusion entre les lieux..😉. - Mu Cang C hai n'est pas du tout proche de Sapa, il faut compter plus de 5 heures de trajet aller...il faut oublier cette destination.
Monter en train à Sapa (Lao Cai puis bus pour Sapa) peut être une expérience, alors pourquoi pas? Ensuite j'opterai pour le village de Ta Van (12 km de Sapa en taxi) et de là vous pourrez faire une randonnée avec un guide local (il ne parle pas le français) au travers des belles rizières. - Coc Ly est bien comme le dit Eric à 2h20, 2h30 aller en bus ou voiture depuis sapa et un peu plus depuis Ta Van.... Aussi, Si vous arrivez le lundi 21 en train, je conseillerai plus Bac Ha dès votre arrivée (2h depuis Lao Cai en bus) puis promenade aux alentours de Bac Ha Coc Ly le mardi matin en arrangeant çà avec votre hôtel, Coc Ly est à 22 km de Bac Ha... Le mercredi une randonnée autour de Bac Ha - bus de nuit le soir pour Hanoï le jeudi de Cat Ba, vendredi croisière à la journée et samedi matin retour sur Hanoï avec un vol le soir pour Hué - ou samedi Tam Coc (2 jours) et train de nuit pour Hué
- ou le mercredi trajet depuis Bac Ha à Sapa/ Ta Van si vous tenez absolument à cette localisation, mais çà ne fera pas beaucoup de temps sur place... Le jeudi Ta Van et un retour sur Sapa pour le bus de nuit.... Vol Hué le vendredi ou Cat Ba le weekend suivi ou pas de Tam Coc (Halong terrestre)
Cat Ba n'est pas plus n'y moins pollué que Tu Long, de plus c'est moins éloigné et bien plus beau. Pour les croisières à la journée (8h) il faut arriver la veille et repartir le lendemain, ..et, en effet les weekend sont surchargés comme sur tout les sites touristiques.

Effectivement c'était vraiment le gros brouillon dans ma tête sans aucune notion des distances, du temps à consacrer, de l'articulation de notre voyage. Les choses me semblent beaucoup plus clairs maintenant. Il va juste falloir que j'analyse avec un peu plus de précision vos précieuses informations car mon mari avez réservez à sapa un logement pour les 3 jours mais si je comprend bien il faudrait plutôt qu'on rayonne depuis lao cai. La seule carte que je possède est celle de guide michelin voyage vietnam autant dire qu'elle n'indique quasiment rien.
Merci vraiment pour le temps que vous avez consacré à me répondre. Si à mon tour je pouvais vous aidez sur une autre destination cela serait avec plaisir.

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before: - Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way). Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan. Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide). Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island. Day 10 – Head to Semporna. Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai. Day 15 – Bohey Dulang. Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous. I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing. I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture. But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary. If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.

For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!

Sandakan → Sepilok: No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??
Sandakan → Semporna: From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄). Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM. Where do I board, and where does it drop me off?
Semporna → Tawau: Found this via AI—is it legit? No online booking, as far as I can tell. Minivans leave from a stop in the Jalan Hospital area, near the Milimewa supermarket, supposedly???? And when you arrive, does it drop you at **Sabindo Square** in Tawau?????

I’m currently working on a 30-day itinerary for May/June 2027.
10 days in eastern Java (Malang, Bromo, waterfalls, Meru Beriti Park, Banyuwangi, and Ijen), a short transit in Ubud for a few days, then Flores before heading back to Jakarta.
We’ll spend 15 days in Flores (the classic route: Moni, Bajawa, Riung, Ruteng, ending in Labuan Bajo).
I’d love some firsthand feedback on flights to Maumere or Ende from Bali Denpasar. I know there are no direct routes and that you have to connect through Labuan Bajo or Timor (I think), which isn’t an issue in itself.
But I’ve read here and there that flights to these destinations can be delayed—or worse, canceled—and that it’s better to fly in and out of Labuan Bajo, which isn’t exactly ideal...
