Je ne suis pas Québécoise mais Française et je voudrais juste te faire part de mon sentiment après avoir vécu un an à Montréal.
J'ai passé ma dernière année d'étude là bas. Pendant mon séjour j'ai eu l'occasion de voyager un peu dans toute le Province, et comme te diront tous les québécois je pense, Montréal, ce n'est pas le Québec ! Bien que cette métropole habrite près de la moitié des québécois, ce n'est pas le québec !!
Je suppose que ton envisage ton installation à Montréal ???

J'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour à Montréal, j'ai rencontré des gens très ouverts et sympathiques. A partir du moment où tu n'arrives pas en terrain conquis, tu n'auras pas de problème avec les québécois. Les français étant tellement nombreux à Montréal, qu'il est facile de rester "entre français", bien sur c'est la facilité, mais je pense que c'est une grave erreur. Les québécois t'acceptent à partir du moment où tu ne viens pas avec tes gros sabots en pensant que le Québec c'est comme la France, sauf que les gens ont un accent !!! C'est totalement faux, il y a bel et bien des différences culturelles importantes entre le France et le Québec et il faut en avoir conscience pour envisager une installation. Ce n'est pas si facile que l'on croit.
J'étudie la démographie, j'ai eu l'occasion de m'interesser à l'immigration au québec et malhreusement, au bout de quelques années (il me semble que c'est 3 ans), presque la moitié des français qui étaient partis pour s'installer là bas reviennent en France.
Il y a bien sur les différences culturelles mais aussi la rigueur du climat. Pour ma part, j'ai adoré l'hiver, surtout si tu vas te promener dans la province. Mais je sais aussi que j'ai apprécier mon séjour là bas car je savais qu'il n'était pas définitif et que je restais pour une période donnée. Après avoir vécu 12 mois à Montréal, je suis revenue enchantée, mais je ne voulais pas chercher du travail là bas.
Je ne veux surtout pas te démoraliser, au contraire, je veux juste m'assurer que quand tu parles d'installation, il faut s'attendre à de gros changements ! C'est pas comme si on changeait de région pour bosser en France.
Le québec c'est génial, les québécois sont extras ! Je te souhaite un très bonne expérience là bas.

J'ai le même rêve que toi....Ayant posté un message sur le forum sans grand succès (j'ai pas les mêmes atouts que toi😛), je me permets de te faire profiter de ma petite expérience :
Après un séjour de 6 mois lorsque j'étais étudiant, à Montréal.....suis devenu raide dingue de ce pays, de sa culture, de sa diversité et de son unité🙂, de sa culture...Bref, le Québec est devenue MA référence.
CEPENDANT, à présent que je suis dans la situation d'un volontaire à l'immigration, je me rends bien compte que les choses ne sont pas aussi simples. Il me semble qu'il est préférable d'avoir des amis, voir, au mieux, des personnes de sa famille PROCHE déjà installés au Canada. Je possède une partie des miens installés depuis plus de 60 ans en Nouvelle-Ecosse, et pourtant, n'étant pas intime avec eux, celà ne m'est d'aucune utilité, à titre personnel, ou vis-à-vis des autorités😏.
Tu dois être certaine de ton choix, beaucoup te le diront...Les différences culturelles essentielles ne sont pas à chercher du côté de la morale, de la façon de faire ou de présenter les choses (c'est pas les states, lol), mais surtout dans les schèmes de pensée (on voit plus souvent le verre à moitié vide sur le vieux continent...)
Une solution pourrait être de te porter candidate à la procédure Vacances-Travail ouverte aux européens (jusqu'à l'age de 35ans, valable 1 an). Personnellement, je vais me tourner vers ce moyen....Il sera toujours temps de demander le Visa de résident, puis la citoyenneté (au bout de 4 ans si mes souvenirs sont bons...) en temps et en heure, si tu es persuadée, comme moi, que ta vie est là-bas.
